With a trillion sensors feeding data into a central computer, unleashed into the world, governments, militaries, mega-corporations, dictators, and even hackers will be able to hear the heartbeat of the Earth. This is an invisible communications network enveloping everything, including your home. These Smart Dust particles, 100 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair, easily penetrate human skin, enabling trackers to monitor every moment of your day.Mace Gilbert, a writer for The SciTech Chronicle, squares off against Armor Bedwin, the founder of GeoSyncLabs, in an epic battle between human consciousness and technology. Under the guise of humanitarian purposes, Armor mass-produces Smart Dust to spread global health.Unwittingly, Armor falls prey to the guile of Carl Deitrich Thomas, the director of a secret society, Codent. Codent’s to impregnate the global citizenry with this nanotechnology to bring about the Dawn of Trans-humanism.
Dan Armstrong's "Smart Dust: The Dawn of Trans-Humanism" is a gripping techno-thriller that masterfully blends cutting-edge technology with spine-tingling conspiracy.
The novel follows Mace Gilbert, a SciTech Chronicle writer, in an intense confrontation with Armor Bedwin, founder of GeoSyncLabs, exploring the terrifying potential of nanotechnology. Armstrong crafts a chillingly plausible narrative about microscopic sensors that can penetrate human skin, creating an invisible global surveillance network.
What makes this book truly remarkable is its prescient exploration of technological ethics, raising profound questions about privacy, consent, and the boundaries of human augmentation. Readers will find themselves simultaneously fascinated and unsettled by the book's near-future scenario, which feels uncomfortably close to reality. A must-read for anyone interested in the intersection of technology, surveillance, and human potential.
A chilling novel where the lines between reality and fiction become blurry.
Experience the chill down your spine as you read Smart Dust, a novel that blurs the lines between conspiracy theory and reality, leaving you wondering how much of it has already come true. I enjoyed every moment of this thrilling tale and continue to hope we aren't quite there yet, but how do we really know? Thank you Dan for taking us along for the ride.
Really liked this book, it dives into the ideas of new technology, and can really get one’s mind to thinking. The author is a good hearted family man, which I also liked.
I am a personal friend of this author, but my “Five-star” review is NOT biased, it is based on his phenomenal storytelling ability!
This book was amazing in light of what is currently going on in the world. Dan wrote this book before most people had even heard of “Nano-technology!” This is what is so mind-blowing about it!!
The book has a good plot with plenty of suspense and intrigue. I loved the ending, which leads to a sequel he is currently writing!
