Samantha Chase, a private investigator, never anticipated the depth to which her life would be intertwined with the supernatural realm. Guided by her fiancé, Adam, she has braved battles against savage vampires, a territorial war among werewolves, and the wrath of a vengeful witch. Yet, just as Samantha believes she has found true happiness with Adam, her enigmatic past emerges, threatening to shatter their bond. Haunting dreams foretell imminent danger, compelling her to unravel the missing fragments of her family history. Only then can she confront an ancient Fae Prince intent on obliterating her bloodline forever. As the stakes escalate, Samantha must defy all conventions to halt the Prince's machinations and safeguard her loved ones. Infused with a tantalizing slow-burn romance and relentless action, this urban fantasy will keep you teetering on the precipice of your seat until the breathtaking conclusion.

Blurb:
Supernatural creatures exist…and I might be one of them.

As a private investigator, I’ve seen some interesting things. But nothing prepared me for what I discovered one night during a routine investigation.

After surviving a homicidal vampire, a werewolf pack war, and a vindictive witch, you’d think Adam would be sick of me. Instead, the gorgeous vampire asked me to marry him. But to visualize a future with him, I must learn what’s hiding in my past.

My dreams have begun to warn of a danger tied to my family—a Fae Prince, who’s determined to end us all for good.

How does one stop the ancient power of the Fae? By breaking all the rules, of course.

RED DREAM is the third book in the Vampire Files series. They must be read in the order of release.

Beautifully written and romantically suspenseful, I loved this story, especially the ending! There was plenty of action to keep the pages flying and my mind whirring as I imagined the scenes described.

This is the end of this trilogy, but I’m holding out hope that there will be more about our friends. I want our angelic friend and his blue-haired enchantress to meet again!

Note: While I received this book as a gifted copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Dangling threads

Red Dreams was different to the previous two books in that instead of watching the story unfurl through Samantha’s eyes, we now have to contend with multiple POVs - and I’m not sure how I feel about that. The story, once again, sauntered along at a slower pace (and still without a huge amount of action), but most annoyingly, there were more than a few plot points that were not wrapped up.

Perhaps a new trilogy is in the works, with maybe Gabe and Regan as the focal point, but it frustrates me not to get a sense of complete closure in a trilogy.

This is the 3rd book in the Vampire Files Series. I love the chemistry between Samantha and Adam. The witty banter between characters has me laughing out loud, sometimes in public. Each chapter had a new narrator which I thought was fantastic; I loved getting the different perspectives. This is not a stand-alone and must be read in order. You will be lost otherwise with major plot points spoiled! This is a fantastic series and while it was wrapped up beautifully, I would love to find them on more adventures! I need my fix after all!

I am so in love with Adam, the vampire and Sam, part human and she's not sure what else. What a couple and the things they go through..holy cow. Throw in a fallen angel, Gabe, a few more supernatural creatures and what a great story. There's laughs and lots of strange things that go bump in the night. This was book 3 and I don't know if it's the last but I suggest that you read them in order to understand everything that's going on. I've totally enjoyed all 3 books..

Definitely recommend reading the first two in the series first.
Samantha learns more of her heritage and makes plans for her future all while trying to figure out what her dreams mean.
Adam has found love again after too many years of loneliness.
Gabriel didn’t see her coming and swears he’s under some sort of spell. She’s forced to leave to her realm in hopes of saving her closest friend. How long will he have to wait to see her?

Terrific ending to this trilogy

As always, RK writes with such passion that you feel you know the characters and are right there with them. This book was well worth waiting for. You won't be disappointed. It has everything from vampires to fae and everything in between. I hate saying too much, don't want to be a spoiler. Travel, discovery, danger, and love all combine for a most satisfying tale.

Kinda wanted a bit more than fade to black. But I really enjoyed the whole series. I've read 1 thru 3 (working on 4 now)
I like the characters, I actually like the main F/charry, she was strong without being a brat. Sam seemed like a real person, not an overbearing female of the sort usually in this type of books. Loved Adam and Gabe.
I'm waiting for more info about Gabe and his chosen one!
All in all, a very good series!

I was actually afraid that the outcome wouldn't be what I long for But everything is sewn up in a tidy not and so heart warming and scary and at the end I just cried you can't read this book without all of the emotion going through you I only pray that there's one more at least

Fabulous

I loved this trilogy, just wanted more. The bantering between characters made me laugh and cry. My only regret is what about Regan and Rosie? Beautiful and touching in so many ways.

Phenomenal !

Usually when reading a series as good as this, the last book is not as good. No worries here. I loved the action, excitement and of course the romance. I cannot say enough about the whole series! I highly recommend this series!

Fantastic

What a fantastic ending to a series. It ties everything together really well. I love the ending. I also wonder if there is another book or spin off of this series. Like what's up with the grand parents and also with Gabe and Regan?

A good enough story

I've got to preface this by saying I haven't read books one and two.

The characters and story are decent. The editing could have been better.

A lovely third book in this series with so many bad deadly issues to endeavour to resolve. Will Gabe be executed or Sam finally finding her dad heritage?
