I was named after the goddess of war. I’m no one’s sacrifice.
Dean Blackmoor says I’m his. But I’ve got other ideas. After finding out that I’ve chosen the winner of a game I didn’t even know I was playing, I’m determined to make sure that this doesn’t go the way my captors planned.
Any of them.
After years of being obsessed with me, Cayde St. Vincent has decided to concede, and let Dean claim his victory. But I know he still wants me, and I intend to exploit that in any way I possibly can—up to and including finding my way into his bed.
The shadows surrounding Blackmoor House are dark, and there’s plenty of other dangers lurking there, waiting to make me pay for sins that aren’t even mine. But I’m not afraid.
They thought I belonged to them. But I’m going to show them just how wrong they are.
They’re playing my game now.
Savage Prince is the second book in the Blackmoor heirs series. It contains material that may be sensitive to some readers. There are no heroes in this series, and it will get much darker before the dawn. This book is for those who like their men cruel and damaged, their romance dark and questionable, and their emotions toyed with until the very end.
Ivy Thorn's motto is the more hero's the better. She writes dark, delicious, romance with kick but heroines and the ruthless anti heroes who fall for them. Her books will leave you on the edge of a cliff begging for more, but a happily-ever-after is guaranteed every time—they’re just going to have to fight for it.
She lives for the sleepless nights of New York City, writing until dawn in efforts to express her darkest illusions and cheeky personality. Accompanied by her favorite cocktail, she finds herself consumed by her novels, ready to take on a new persona. When she’s not writing, she enjoys her evenings off, exploring the late nights of New York City.
This book came out swinging and Ivy totally brought it! Even darker, more vile and the story is getting more intriguing. I am fully invested in this series now!
These guys are not gentlemen. NOT AT ALL. Holy crap they are cruel, selfish, but hot as hell. I know in an RH you aren't supposed to pick favorites, but I've got one. One I truly despise.
Trigger Warning: Very Dark, Bullying, Abuse, Humiliation, Degrading/Demeaning Sex, Violence and Rape.
This book was darker than the first therefore; I won't even act like this story has a silver lining because so far it doesn't. It is darker, more deplorable than the first and just as intriguing. If you have Triggers DO NOT ATTEMPT TO READ THIS SERIES.
The main characters Cayde, Dean and to a lesser extent Jaxon have no redeeming qualities. They are not heroes and Athena in my opinion still suffers from an extreme case of Stockholm Syndrome because I don't know how anyone can bounce back from what she endured in this book from her Owners and Enemies and still push forward and go on as if life is what it is.
This book doesn't make sense. The game doesn't make sense. The author just changed the rules out of nowhere. It didn't felt like a reverse harem book, it was like the Athena and Cayde book with Dean and Jaxon there just because she wanted to write a RH book. Dean didn't have a POV chapter on the first 50% of the book, while Cayde had a lot of chapters on his POV. The "game" would be won to whoever Athena gave her virginity, and that was Dean (the end), the fact that Jaxon rejected her doesn't take away the fact that she went willingly to Dean, nowhere was stated that she had to fall in love with the guy or be excited to have sex with him for him to win the competition. The fact that Athena finds out about the stakes of the "game" and wants to have sex with Cayde because his family was the one that took her and her mother in and that's why she wants him to win the game shows that the game is over, because the whole point of it was the girl not knowing what the stakes were, because it was clear that she would had chosen Cayde out of the bat to protect her mother, it is even stated that Cayde's father chose Athena as the sacrifice because her history with Cayde so in his mind it would be easier for Cayde to win it. The fact that the sheets' presentation wasn't like the next day was annoying, and it just showed that the writer was lazy on her plot points. The book could had been written in such a different way, like how Cayde dealt with the change in leadership, how Athena still wanted Cayde and Jaxon and not just Dean and how they would deal with it now that Dean was the official winner. I swear that I'll scream if somehow the author makes Cayde's the ruler even tho Dean won fair and square, even tho I'm sure that the author will make sure that the three boys rule it together, because God forbid Cayde (her clearly favourite boy) be ordered around.

Athena came to play no games in book 2 . I really enjoyed her character development in this installment. She was fierce , fiery and wasn’t taking any more crap from the guys. Love a bad ass FMC. I equally enjoyed watching the guys start to fall. And the ending does not disappoint! Will not be for everyone. But if you enjoy dark tropes, then you will enjoy this. Very spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The ending of this book is bloody brutal 🥺😡💀. With what happens at the party and the events after at the cabin it would absolutely break anyone. Good thing Athena is made of strong stuff.
Win the game girl and give them all what they deserve.
I loved this second book so much! It was so fast-paced and so many steamy scenes! Every time I thought that maybe Athena was finding a little peace and happiness, the hits just kept coming but being the bad a** that she is, she just got back up and told everyone that they hit like a little b*tch.
Athena is really figuring out who she is, what she likes, and what she wants in this book and she will do whatever it takes to achieve her freedom. The guys were all so great in this one! We’re really getting to see their personalities come out and see how their feelings start to change about Athena. Reading all of their interactions and banter and the games being played was hot at times and at other times had me smirking as someone got one up on another lol
The ending of this book went from zero to one hundred real fast and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
This book is much better than the first one. We’re still checking every box for the dark bully trope, but at least this one is interesting.
It was fascinating to see Athena evolve throughout the story. The guys do too, but they’re strictly in the antihero column with only the slightest hint of redemption as a possibility. Athena however is slowly coming into her own. She plays the game and rolls with the punches both literally and metaphorically. She doesn’t always play it well and it backfires from time to time, but she learns from her failures.
Dark Scale rating: 8 for graphic violence, dubcon, corporal punishment (belt not hand), public humiliation and degradation, exhibitionism, drugs, assault, and rape.
I must admit I have still been uncomfortable with how Dean & Cayde have treated Athena and how Dean punished her at the party I would have cut his d**k off. Cayde I believe hasn’t just been obsessed with Athena I actually think he loves her in his own twisted way and I really need to know what happened to Natalie but I have a feeling she was taken as a punishment for thinking he could have her and be happy. If these men who run the town aren’t taken down I won’t be happy, the way they spoke about Athena at the county club just shows how disgusting they are. Then Winter’s Dad telling Dean she has been trained well, OMG 🤮 these men need to be castrated and have all their money and power taken away.
This was quite a read. This one was tougher to read through than the first book. The emotional and psychological abuse these three inflict on her pales in comparison to the physical abuse they deliver. This has SO many triggers and I caution readers to be prepared.
All of that said, this one is well crafted, well written and the story moves along nicely. I can't say I "enjoyed" it, (as I found it super uncomfortable to read some parts) but I understand the need for this part of the series. I need the conclusion!
This is book two in the Blackmoor Heirs series and ends on a cliffhanger. Athena has been through a lot with the Blackmoor Heirs; Cayde, Jaxson, and Dean. They have all been horrible to her, but there are worse things out there coming for Athena and she may need to rely on the heirs to save her. But this goddess will not be broken and when she gets knocked down she comes back swinging. Look out Jaxson, she's had Cayde and Dean, now she's going to have you too!!!
Woah! Book two really came out swinging. Athena is a stubborn spitfire and she won't be taken down without a fight.
The plot definitely builds more through both character development of Cayde, Jaxon & Dean but with Athena. We see more of her slowly as more of the plot unfolds. The savage depravity had me absolutely hooked. I couldn't put this down. But this series is not for the faint of heart. Heed the trigger warnings, more dub con/non con continues.
Athena goes into book 2 with a plan. I loved watching it unfold. Not knowing what exactly would happen next. The mystery intrigued me. Getting to know the boys better was fun. We get to see the characters in new ways. More steamy depraved moments pushing us over that cliff into the unknown parts of ourselves. Loved every second. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
This part of the story absolutely started with a bang (both literally and metaphorically), we see our protagonist take hold of her power and it was also very self-aware at times? There were a few times where the protagonist herself talked about reclaiming her power against the patriarchy which fit in really well considering the … nature of the story. The writing got SO much better compared to the first book too, which made this significantly more enjoyable!
This one was definitely better than the first book. While there is one or two scenes that don't seem like they involve consent, the majority of the book now does. I would say however that I wouldn't really consider these books to be Reverse Harem as of yet. The three of them have yet to all be involved. This story continues to be very dark so please please please read TW before starting
This book was so much better. The things these boys do to her, and she loves it. Athena gets off on all of it. She's a born submissive to them. Everything his the fan when she takes things into her own hands. She doesn't want Dean to win, she wants Jacob, but he's a whole other story. Cayde is about to get what he wants, and it's all because of her.
Dean is brutal, crude, heartless person or is he? Cayde is possessive, jerk, lonely or is he? Jaxon is sweet, lovestruck, fighter, trainer , heartbreaker or is he? Athena is brave, falling in love, submissive woman… Who hurt her and why? Maybe Crazy Winter paid people to take her? If so she will regret it..
...a way to get back at Cayde, Dean and Jason for lying to her. Now that she has been claimed; or has she really? When the way the sacrifice ends becomes a bit too blurry to be taken to heart, Athena decides to pit friend against friend. The only question is, will this really work?
This story is very intense and dark and hot with a twist of staking claim. These Alpha men start to work a little bit toghter even if Athena is pulling them apart. So cant wait to read the next book.
At this point I still hate Dean, Cayde is still questionable, and Jaxson I'm holding out hope for, but after all of this I am hoping the herione ends up alone, but yet happy and safe. Book two was wild, intense, and dark.
Now this woman can write juicy sex scenes. Scorching hot. I'm afraid what it says about me but he was my favourite of the three guys. Hot and bothered.
