I heard White speak at a company event. He was really engaging and I thought his book would be the same. Unfortunately, the book feels formulaic and repetitive. If the book was more memoir and less of a management book I would have liked it more. White's story of coming from the inner city to a Fortune 50 executive is interesting, and he sheds light on the plight of a Black man on that kind of journey in America.
