I grew up in Kew Gardens, Queens, New York. After graduating from Lehman College with degrees in psychology and sociology, I began my helping people career as a caseworker for the New York City Department of Social Services, Protective Services, investigating the horrors of the abuse and neglect of children. With my master’s degrees in School Psychology, from the City University of New York, I worked for the New York City Department of Education, helping students deal with their learning disabilities and social issues. With my master’s in Social Work, from New York University, and post-graduate training in Psychoanalytic Therapy, I had a private practice on Long Island. treating adults, adolescents, children, and couples.

There are just so many hours in a day; I needed a thirty-six hour day, not twenty-four, to accomplish all my passions. Fiction writing took a back seat for too many years, but my desire to write only grew stronger. Eventually, I could expand my free time, allowing me to become a successful writer of short stories, in the horror genre, all of which were published on the web and print. Feeling confident about my writing skills, I wrote my first novel, The Demon Hunters, but no agents were interested in this story, so I put it aside, and wrote a mystery thriller, A Sinister Obsession, but again no agents were interested in the story. Not giving up, I offered it to an independent publisher, and it has received mostly 5 star reviews. As an eclectic writer, writing what excites my imagination, I wrote Stardust Dreams, a science fiction romance, and it has received rave reviews. Foolishly, I let too many years pass by pursuing a literary agent which I thought was my ultimate goal to reach a traditional publisher. I was wrong. Now it was time to change my thinking in a changing world.

I am happily an independent author!

I’m splitting myself in half.

I love writing fun and exciting stories for all mature ages and I have novels and stories in my head for those age groups.

As a retired person, I love writing stories about my generation. Stardust Dreams was the first. The second will be If I’m Dreaming, Don’t Wake Me!. An honest literary agent told me the publishing world is not interested in senior stories. There are few in the book stores. Yet, in film and theater, senior stories thrive. I am going to prove them all wrong. I will be the leading senior writer in the world!

Retirement has allowed me to write full time. My kids are grown. The grandkids are growing. Golf, tennis, bowling, and fishing are my other passions. Oil painting is on the side. My wife and I are having a grand time. The corona virus caused a change in our lifestyles and we now have Mickey, a Shih Tzu. He is a fantastic addition to our family.

A fantastic Technothriller relentlessly action packed!!!

In a world where an invincible terrorist cyberattack destroys most businesses, power, and communications, obliterating all data; the computer programmer Annie Oakley Frye, who is in fact the daughter of a Colonel and a part Apache army nurse, is forced to implement all the skills she had learned from her family and private military academies to survive the social chaos that erupts.

As a survivalist proficient with all weapons, hand-to-hand combat, living off the land, and military strategy, Annie uses her combined abilities to escape from the impending anarchy the virtual annihilation caused, displaying the qualities of one of the most badass protagonists ever written, becoming a fierce Lioness queen barely capable of enduring the savage adversities from a newly formed dystopian urban jungle to save herself and others.

Extremely detailed and packed with action and psychological dilemmas, the book is a page turner with a modern take on a female protagonist who’s thrown into a rich and intriguing environment that will grab the reader’s imagination and send them to the set of a movie or a television show, leaving them wanting more as soon as the story ends.

A highly recommended must-read for dystopian/technothriller fans!

When a terrorist unleashes a virus across the internet, most believe it’s a temporary blip. Perhaps a ransomware attack that can be dealt with easily. However, as the problem persists, it becomes apparent that this is no normal terrorist attack. As the world panics, Annie Frye must dig deep, finding her survival skills and her courage to survive in a new world.

This book paints a vivid picture of what would happen if the internet suddenly ceased to work. It provides an interesting peek into a world turned upside down by the sudden and unexpected loss of what is now a vital piece of the fabric of society. The book begins slow, though it provides a realistic picture of what may actually ensue in the face of a crisis like this. As the world panics, one hero emerges, using her unique set of skills to survive the chaos.

The book is a bit dark and heavy in terms of content as it paints a brutal picture of a frightening apocalypse. It’s also fairly heavy with language, so if you prefer a “clean” read, this isn’t for you. But if you love apocalyptic reads, I’d add this to your reading list because it’s really a fresh, unique and interesting entry into the genre.

So this was an interesting book. I enjoyed the first half of the book before everything went to hell. There was this kind of tense undercurrent during the book. I felt like we were privy to information that no one else knew, except for the main character, and I was anxious to have the other characters and the world figure it out. The second part of the book, however, was kind of rough for me. It was hard to root for Annie in the second half and I’ll explain why.

During the second half of the book, Annie became incredibly hardened, to a point that she was just downright mean. I appreciate that in a woman but she was mean to her friends, ridiculously mean. They didn’t grow up the way she did with all her survival training. She could have cut them a little bit of slack. Even though they whined a lot, it was for a just cause. Their whole way of life came tumbling down. She shouldn’t have expected them to just automatically adjust well. There has to be a bit of an adjustment period.

Other than that, I enjoyed the book. It would be interesting to read the second book and see how the world progressed and how Annie’s group learned to survive. I am hoping that they all did and I hope that Annie learned to be a little bit kinder to her friends. I also hope her friends learned to not whine so much and I hope they adjusted well. Overall, this was a good book and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Imagine a situation where all the world’s computers stop working. All the data the computers have stored disappears or is corrupted. (Any backup of that data turns out to be corrupted too.) Anything that requires computers to work stops working. No electricity. No internet. Can’t call anyone about anything because phones aren’t working. Driving anywhere is an issue because stoplights are no longer functioning. How long would this have to go on before you’d no longer have food to eat (food processors are dead in the water and even getting the food to your local grocery store is problematic in this environment). Paying for things is a problem with debit and credit cards not working, ATM machines down, and no way for a business to cash your check. Unless you’re more prepared than the average person, this situation wouldn’t be pretty and it wouldn’t be a picnic even for those who are ready for such an apocalypse.

I’m sure most reading this are thinking “but that’s never going to happen.” The author makes a good case for the possibility that it could. I won’t go into any details so as to not have a spoiler in my review, but the logic the author uses to imagine this happening isn’t that far out there and imagines just a couple tweaks to be made to things already happening on a regular basis in today’s world.

The premise of this story is that the protagonist, Annie, figures out what is going to happen in advance. She knows it is going to happen and when, but can do nothing to prevent it. So, she attempts to prepare as best as she can to be able to survive what she knows is coming as well as get some of her friends to join her. The difficulties she has, both in preparing and in convincing others makes for quite a story. Since this is a series, you can guess she must ultimately have some success and I’m now wondering what happens to her next.

This story has so much to offer. For me, the initial chapter spun the world in a vivid way. The author managed to keep that up and it and continued throughout. The storyline kept me entranced, I didn’t want to put it down and didn’t want it to end.

It's a crazy new world that takes a bit to understand and I will admit I was learning throughout the entire thing. There was plenty of action in this one and I think if you like nonstop movement with your books, this is a great read for you.

Great detail and a fun escape. Great read!

This book takes the reader on an intense ride.

The characters are well written and their reactions to the situations seem very realistic.

The situations that these characters encounter manage to keep the reader on their toes.

The adventures are endless. The potential they might meet their demise is vast. I always enjoy cyber post-apocalyptic books as they are so believable with how important the internet is to live these days.

I can’t wait to find out what happens next!!

For me this was the epitome of a Post Apocalyptic read. It was a fast-paced read in which S.B. Redstone has done a wonderful job of first, highlighting his characters and their motives.
From there, we have a story that has a lot of action and moments that make you think.
Throughout the book there are plenty of twists and turns, drama, and much more along the way. Well-written, a fun ride that will captivate.

If you are looking for a book that thinks outside of the box and really makes your mind work overtime, this is it.

We get a female heroine in Annie who may initially seem meek, but really comes out of her shell to face things head on. I loved her growth in this book!

I definitely think this is one of those dive in and don’t get up kind of books. It will hook you as you get lost in the words.
