Blakely Dixon is a free spirit. She has spent her life going wherever she wants. As a successful travel blogger, going fun new places is her entire life. She avoids unnecessary attachments. Who wants to be tied down? That all changes when she books a trip for a lesbian tour of Italy. A series of unexpected events throws her together with another traveler, Harper.
Harper Callahan has played it safe her whole life. Still, she dreams of more. Newly out of a long term relationship, romance is the last thing on her mind. But she and Blakely are instantly drawn together. The closer they get the more the flame grows. Blakely could be Harper's greatest adventure. Harper could be the home Blakely's secretly been longing for. When the trip ends they're faced with a long distance relationship. Will they find a way to be together or will their spark fizzle out?
Fine, a little too plain for my taste (the story! get your mind out of the gutter!) too nice. Almost old fashioned in the story telling, Mills and Boonish.
Blakely is a travel blogger and headed for a tour of Italy. Harper is on the same plane as Blakely and notices the man next to her is encroaching on her space, so, she offers to trade places with him. Lo and behold they're on the same tour of Italy. A glitch in the system puts the 2 women in the same room throughout the tour. Neither is looking for a long term relationship. But... This is book 1 in the series and a beautiful story with no angst because both women communicate. 5 stars!
Finally, a story that does not start out with the two primary characters having some negative history and ending with them back together!! It was great seeing two people meet under unplanned circumstances, finding a path forward to make the best of things, and ultimately making life-impacting decisions together. Truly a fun read, pleasant story, and realistic enough to believe I may have met these two somewhere along life's way.
Blakely and Harper are going on a lesbian tour to Italy. They are strangers who meet on the plane trip to Italy. By the time they arrive in Italy they have become friends. A mixup in tour hotel bookings and the ladies are sharing a room. This is the beginning of the love story. I loved both main characters and the supporting cast also. I thoroughly enjoyed this romance.
I really wanted to enjoy this, but it was difficult to read. The punctuation was off enough that it made reading choppy. There were also points during dialogue that you didn't know which character was speaking. The beginning of the story was off enough that it was hard to determine which character had what emotions, and what personality. Has potential, but needs serious editing.
This was a sweet story that began with a random happenstance.
What bothered me was the proofreading or lack thereof. It was sometimes hard to figure out who was saying what, and the punctuation was a bit here and there as well.
Thanks to the nice storyline I read it through anyway and mostly enjoyed.
This is a cute story about life, love and new beginnings. Jenn Bridges does a good job of getting you inside the characters heads. The writing is smooth and keeps you invested. Well done!
Great story but too many punctuation errors or lack of punctuation and a few spelling errors so needs better editing. Will definitely read next book in series
For the authors first book I think she did a wonderful job. Great book and character build up. I wanted to hang out with the bunch by the end. Also great build up of love and friendships.
JENN this is my first book of yours I've read. I'm very impressed. Just so you know that takes slot you should be very proud. I've read almost 300 books since vivid hit. To many great authors to mention your right up there with them. Keep up the great writing.
This is a quick read with likable main characters that get their happy ending! It introduces other characters that you can feel will get their stories told along the way.
