It had been love at first sight…or at least love at first sight of a toppling, glittering, unfortunately-shaped mascot.

Semantics.

Charlie had been spending time in San Francisco with his sister—who was a publicist for the San Francisco Gold hockey team. And by spending time with her, he meant he was licking his wounds and trying to pretend that he hadn’t just had his heart broken.

But it was really hard to pretend he was fine when he was surrounded by happy couples.

He didn’t know what the hell was in the water, but the freaking Gold seemed to breed happy endings like some people bred…horses? Hot house roses? A never-ending supply of hard seltzers in his fridge?

Whatever. The point was that he’d been alone and heartbroken…

Until that giant, glittering gold mascot had toppled over, its head falling off to reveal the woman within.

To reveal Kacee.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Trigger Warnings (aren't they always in my reviews): abusive relationships, assault, emotional abuse, attempted murder.

Firstly the cover is spewing such lies - for one thing charlie is not muscled - calls himself "semi-scrawny". Two he's not a tattooed guy - otherwise this would've been mentioned. And he's a redhead - not a black/brown haired guy. So really - I do find the cover hot as hell and star of my daydreams but not relevant to the actual description of Charlie, alright? Ya need to have better sense with these.

Secondly my god this book - shook me body soul and mind. And honestly the recovery period in these things is very long and arduous. Last time I went through this, was because of Elsie and Melanie's books. So yeah it's been some time since I've been floored like that.

But no surprise considering this is Elise and she's quickly become one of my favorites.

Thirdly to start - Charlie, our bisexual cute redhead hero (look at me hitting all the lgbt letters) had his heart recently broken coming out of an abusive relationship and also has just accidentally hit into the Gold Hockey Mascot aka Kacee and you know...flurry of apologies ensues. And well Kacee is already having a crappy life so hearing apologies is new to her and tentative feelings follow.

But you know what they say - when apologies follow so does hot sizzling attraction if they all nice polite kind and caring and cute nerds are like Charlie and tough but kind girls are like Kacee together- yeah I said that - it's not just apologies.

What follows is a long but entertaining and heartbreaking journey surrounding both Kacee and Charlie in their unveiling of pasts, emotional abuse, and fragile hope of bouncing back from it all, along with the help of the other gold hockey members.

God it was so sweet and passionate, yet caring and heartwarming that yes I sincerely thought that my heart would explode with so many emotions running in me (that's why I only read these books with varying time distance - my heart can only take so much).

Plus the push and pull - damn I think most of my hair got pulled out cause of it.

Also that plot twist in the end - damn did not see it coming but yup it just propelled my feelings higher, so yeah there's that.

I loved this book so much, I wanted to shout it from the roofs - but it was 4 am when I finished it so no...probably not a good idea.

But still, my feelings did not change for this book and I continue to love it hard so.

I feel pretty spoiled right now by this book so Idk if the next book in my reading list would measure up - let's see.

Until the next read,

-TMR

Universal

Charlie's instantly struck with fascination when the Gold's mascot is revealed to him, in a very meet cute kind of way. Kacee's also struck by the same kind of fascination when this gorgeous guy doesn't recoil in horror at the smell her mascot costume exudes. They could be a match made in heaven, but only if the damage an abusive ex has done to Charlie's soul doesn't get to him at the worst time.

Kacee has truly, finally, found a family with the Gold, as their mascot. And when that family brings her the sweetest, most beautiful man in Charlie, she knows she's really found her people. But though they both have horrible exes in their pasts, Charlie's has done far more horrors to him, could be the biggest obstacle in their path to happiness.

This is one of the most emotionally heartrending of all of the Gold stories so far. It has its sweet, fun moments, like when Kacee and Charlie first meet, and it definitely has intense chemistry, but the part that will stick with me is the way Charlie finally met and bested his past, literally and figuratively. I loved him and Kacee together, and I loved their story, but be forewarned it's got some heavy subject matter too, heavier than in some of the previous Gold Hockey stories.

4.5 Stars for Caught Gold Hockey #14)
You may think that once you get to book 14 in a series you will have read the story before but this is certainly not the case for the Gold Hockey Series, book 14 is as good if not better than the earlier books and it’s yet another entertaining read as we get to know Charlie and Kacee.
Kacee needs to make ends meet so she has taken a second job as Goldie, the Golds loveable mascot and it’s at her second job that meets Charlie. Charlie is in San Francisco spending time with his sister, a publicist for the Gold. Trying to get over his broken heart he is struggling being around all these happy couples who make up the family of the team but is his heart about to start beating again when he spots the giant, glittering mascot taking a tumble.
I loved getting to know this couple, Charlie is such a kind, sensitive guy that still finds time for others even though he has his own baggage, Kacee was easy to love because she is a girl a lot of us can relate too, trying to find herself and see what others see is hard to do. Caught is a great addition to this series and it’s was wonderful to once again catch up with the family and friends who are part of this wonderful team.

Caught by love!

What happens when two people who are scarred by their past, meet and an instant attraction ensues? Charlie is trying to piece his life back together after an abusive relationship has ended. When he goes tinder his sister, Scarlet at the Gold Hockey team, he bumps into Kacee and finds something he thought he wasn't allowed. Kacee has come out of a relationship that left her broken and broke! Trying to rebuild her life, Charlie is the one who gives her hope. Can they recover from the wounds inflicted or will their shame swallow them up? Elise has written another fantastic read that kept me hooked and on an emotional roller coaster! Can't wait for the next book!

I'll be honest and say this was not my favorite. It has nothing to do with the story itself but more with the way I could see myself in both Charlie and Kacee. Both had seriously bad relationships that has left them scared and both are not letting people in. Together they found a a way to keep all the boogie man away. But the past has a nasty way of showing its ugly head and their relationships almost ends.

But with a help of friends and family they both finally see that sometimes you have to let people in in order for happiness to happen.

Caught is a great new installment to the Gold, a series which never disappoints! Kacee and Charlie will catch your heart just as surely as they’re caught by the Gold and by each other.
The 14th novel in an ongoing series of interconnected stand-alones, Caught brings Gold Hockey and Billionaire’s Club together once more. Because our hero, Charlie—Scar’s (from Cycled) big brother—works for Heather O’Keith (from Bad Husband), and works on a team with both Kelsey (from Bad Boyfriend) and Angie (from Benched). And Kacee is a newer addition to the Gold family as well, because being Goldie, the new team mascot, is her second job. Though both are Gold family, they still have a very classic meet0cute when they finally bump into each other.
As in literally bump, because they run into each other in the stadium, and have an instant connection. Not only because of their attraction—instant chemistry—but because they recognize something in each other that takes them most of the book to reveal to each other.
Because they’re both a little bit broken, both because of their childhood and the equally devastating, but distinct ways in whip their last romantic relationships absolutely imploded. But, though I love each and every couple Elise has written into the Gold Hockey family, Charlie and Kacee are unequivocally one of the pairs most perfect for each other. They’re both so kind, so giving despite what life has taken from each of them, and both inclined towards trying to fix things even while they tend towards putting up walls in their personal lives thanks to their pasts.
Which is why having the outside perspective of a reader, and realizing that the pair is caught in their feelings long before the two of them catch on, makes it easy to root for their relationship and cheer them on as they work past their struggles and find each other. Caught is a great read, and you’ll find all to easy to get invested to the point that it’s hard to set Kacee and Charlie’s story aside until they reach their conclusion. And the build up has plenty of steam, both being firmly enmeshed into the Gold family before they realize what’s happened, both of them fighting past their inner demons and standing firmly by the other as they do the same, and dealing with an ex that just can’t let go.
Fans of the Gold (or the spin-off Breakers series) won’t be disappointed by Caught, and will look forward to the upcoming Cap, Josh and Jess’s story! Elise fans just coming to the Gold will be sure to love this as well, and will surely also want to go back and read all the other couples’ stories that enrich the world of the Gold as you see all kinds of members of the organization finding love with each other or bringing in fresh blood! Highly recommend both the series and Caught to sports romance fans, especially those who enjoy the family feel also found in Natasha Madison’s inter-connected hockey series’s, Helena Hunting’s Pucked/All In world, Teagan Hunter’s new Carolina Comets series, and of course Elise’s Breakers series!

Caught is the fifteenth book in the Gold Hockey series. It can definitely be read alone, but Gold Hockey is a huge family filled with love, so you’ll run across some spoilers of previous books. Charlie is running from the hurt, pain, and shame from his ex, but the moment he sees Kacee, he knows he wants everything with her. As he slowly chips away at her shields, she’s embracing him with everything she has. As emotions sprint towards love, will Charlie accept Kacee into his heart, or is he just too damaged from his past?

Bring tissues!! This book will absolutely tug at your heart in both the best of ways (yay for family loyalty and love) and the worst of ways (boo for exes who suck)! Charlie and Kacee absolutely stole my heart as I was reading their romance, and I was cheering for them just as hard as I was cheering for their own personal growth, development, and acceptance. Neither one of these characters were perfect, both had some difficult pieces of their past they needed to deal with, but I loved watching how they both helped the other overcome some of their battle wounds. Kacee was gorgeous inside and out, full of selflessness, but finding it so difficult to open up to others, let them in, and be vulnerable to the fact that they might leave again. Charlie had a vicious ex who still haunted his every move, plus add in his emotional state, and sometimes love was just too challenging to accept. I loved them together. I loved their passion and the ways they stumbled together and still fit perfectly. I loved their acceptance of each other, too. There was no shame between them, just love. This was a beautiful book, I definitely cried, but I most of all loved!

Charlie is a man with many layers, but ultimately he wants to be loved, but is afraid due to a previous relationship. Kacee is a woman who loves easily, but has been burned in the past so she has walls up to not let anyone close enough. When they meet, however, something shifts in both of them that they can’t deny.

He realized what she needed and that she presented something on the outside that wasn’t truly there. He determined to prove to her she was worthy. Unfortunately, his ex did a number on him emotionally and was back in his life. Could he find the strength to overcome the past to find his happiness?

Kacee puts on a good show that everything is great. In reality, she is broke and barely surviving. Her ex also did a number on her and she has vowed to not let anyone hurt her like that again. The only problem, she can’t seem to let Charlie go.

Their story is so realistic and believable. In only wish that Charlie and Kacee would have had a discussion about his sexuality, because it is a huge part of his life and they never even bring it up, other than to mention his ex is a man. Just when they think they will get their happily ever after, something happens and Charlie spirals out.

This book has some triggers and is hard to read at times. A poignant story about love, abuse, theft, friendship and overcoming your past to find your future. Seeing the characters from previous books was nice and getting a glimpse of the next book was great.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

This is the latest entry in the Gold Hockey series, and like the others can be read completely standalone, with no continuing story arcs and it's own HEA. Kacee is a member of the Gold family since she plays the role of Goldie the mascot, and while it's made apparent that Charlie is works for the Gold, I'm not quite sure what he does.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this story. Kacee is wonderful as Goldie and it was great to read the journey that Kacee takes from personal isolation to accepting her place in the Gold family. Likewise, Charlie is a sweetheart. I loved that being with Kacee allowed Charlie to be the alpha and protector in the relationship, even if Goldie does play the hero occasionally. The interaction and intimacy between these two grew naturally and was lovely to read. It was wonderful to showcase two characters that come from very different backgrounds, have both been damaged by bad relationships and demonstrates that abuse can happen to anyone. This is a story of redemption - occupationally, relationally, personally and emotionally.
There was only one real issue that prevents me from giving 5* and it may seem petty. Charlie returned from Korea and is working for the San Francisco Gold. Charlie's ex has followed him and has transferred from Korea and is now working with him in San Francisco. I don't understand how an ice hockey team based in San Francisco would have offices in Korea from which to transfer. Maybe I just missed something in the story or don't understand how the world of ice hockey works.

Elise Faber hits it in the net with CAUGHT (Gold Hockey #15). This is Charlie’s and Kacee’s story. We met Charlie Andrews in previous books. He is the brother of San Francisco Gold hockey publicist, Scarlett (CYCLED, Gold Hockey #13). Kacee is a custom furniture designer/maker and the San Francisco Gold hockey team mascot.

Charlie and Kacee met at a Gold hockey game. Charlie is trying to escape from his ex when he literally bumps into the team mascot knocking her to the ground, her head flying off. He is instantly mesmerized by her. Later, Kacee rescues Charlie from his ex, and the two befriend each other. They are immediately attracted to each other and have great chemistry. Charlie and Kacee both have horrible exes. They have numerous obstacles to overcome throughout the story. My heart went out to both and what they endured.

I love that Kacee is the team mascot, Goldie. There are many humorous scenes, usually revolving around the ridiculous mascot outfit. I was at a hockey game the other day, and I were thinking it would be interesting to be a team mascot; no one knowing who you are and just letting loose to pump up the crowd. It seems like a lot of work. A good mascot can cause a change in the environment at a game.

The only thing that bothered me during the story was it kept referring to sheetrocking. I used to work in marketing and product development for USG. Sheetrock is their trade name for drywall. It should have said drywalling or USG Sheetrock brand. It’s a common mistake that happens.

Elise Faber does a great job with CAUGHT. It is an excellent addition to the Gold Hockey series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I love the Gold family! I love how they bring you in and make you one of their family whether you believe you deserve to be or not. That is exactly what they did to Kacee and that woman so deserved their love!

Kacee is down on her luck and struggling to get above after her ex stole from her. She's the newest member of the gold family, and a great addition to boot. Charlie is Scarlett's brother and the man who not only falls for Kacee but also helps her open up and come afloat.

I loved Kacee. She was sweet, caring, and talented with wood. I loved her strength and drive. I wasn't always a fan of her stubbornness but I understood it. I liked her from the beginning but I definitely loved her more by the end (especially her strength at the end... go GOLDIE!!)

Charlie was amazing. But he also struggled with his inner demons. It was those inner demons that made me love him and want to smack him at the same time. His ex was the worst and really did a number on him. It took pushing Kacee away for him to finally crawl out of his emotional fog and fight his demons.

I truly enjoyed this read. It was emotionally challenging at times cause abuse can be hard. But watching these two find peace and love in each other was worth the emotional hardship.

I love the Gold series and this new book is about Scarlett's brother Charlie and one giant well who doesn't enjoy falling, running into or tripping into a glittery poo nugget yes the Gold hilarious new mascot lets just say Charlie is stunned when the mascot reveals herself Kacee. These too are perfect for each other there both lost and trying to get over there ex's.

Charlie left his very important job over seas when a relationship went terrible wrong so he came home to his sister to make a fresh start but now his sister is happy and has a wonderful relationship with her hockey guy and everywhere he looks love seems to bloom for the Gold why not him but one meeting with a beautiful mascot and his luck could be about to change if his ex doesn't ruin things or his own fears get in the way. Kacee is sweet and patient she has her own troubles too she's basically broke thanks to her lousy ex stealing from her and then she meets Charlie and his ex may just be worse then her's.

This was a good book it touched on abuse and getting on with life and letting things go to be happy which was good my only small issues I wish the author had addressed Charlie's bisexuality there's nothing wrong with that but Charlie and Kace never really talked about it as a couple but I still enjoyed the book.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this ARC and this is my honest review.

I have to give Elise Faber credit for the way in which she told this story. Charlie and Kacee are two people who have been broken down by their pasts. Kacee is struggling to survive but is doing it one step at a time. Charlie is reeling from a bad relationship, but is afraid to let people in and talk about it. They meet when Charlie basically runs Katee over, and they have an instant and intense connection. Kacee tries to keep Charlie at arms length, but he won't allow it. I really like this about Charlie until I don't. Kacee let's down her walls and lets him in, and while you think that he does the same, he keeps A LOT close to the vest! There is a moment that happens that you want to cry for Kacee because she puts herself out there, and gets destroyed. Yes you can understand the reasoning behind it once you find out some truths when it comes Charlie, but at the same time you want to yell at him because she bares her soul and he is scared. When they do come back together, it is an emotional and well written interaction that you can't help but love. This is one of my favorite stories in this series because of the way in which the Gold family comes together and show their love and support as a whole.

I really do enjoy this series and the whole cast of characters in this 'family'. While neither of these two are actually on the ice, Kacee is definitely part of the Gold family, even if she does try to keep everyone at arms length. She has some shadows in her past that make her do her best to rely on nobody but herself.
Charlie is Scar's brother so he's part of the Gold's extended family, but family nonetheless. With shadows of his own, he too tries to keep a low profile. Until he literally runs into Kacee. These are two people with two of the biggest hearts in the series. Charlie does what he can to break down the walls Kacee has built around herself. It's a matter of self preservation, she's lost so much, and not just material things. The more she lets him in, the more they start doing as a couple, the more the integrate into each other's lives. Just when we think things are going well, Charlie's demons rear their ugly heads.
I really liked how this played out, neither any more or less than the other. Without saying too much, there's vulnerability, understanding and compassion on both sides.

Caught, Gold Hockey #15, is a sweet romance within the world of hockey but the main characters are actually not players. Charlie works for the team and Kacee dresses as the teams mascot. They are both, however, important to the players and the organization. It just takes Kacee a bit longer to realize her importance to all of them since she has never truly felt like she belonged to anything before.
I really enjoyed both of these characters especially Charlie, even with his own past baggage, is such a sensitive, good guy who was easily drawn to Kacee. He was so in tune with her right from the start and wanted to unravel her secrets. He just needed to be patient and earn her trust and ultimately her heart.
Kacee hasn’t had much good in her life and every time she gets close to moving forward she has a set back. Charlie, however, is showing her that there are good people in this world if she would just let him guide her to all the possibilities, but first they both need to move on from past hurts in order to be free to enjoy their future together.

4 Star review of Caught (Gold Hockey #15) by Elise Faber

Caught was a good addition to the Gold Hockey series by Elise Faber. From the first chapter I was engrossed in Kacee and Charlie’s story and had a hard time putting it down when real life got in the way.
Kacee dresses up and is the Gold’s mascot and she meets Charlie when he comes to visit his sister who is a publicist for the team. Both Kacee and Charlie have baggage and he is trying to get over a break up so he is not looking for a relationship and yet there is something about Kacee that draws him to her.
I fell hard and fast for both Kacee and Charlie, both separately and together. Charlie is such a living, caring, protective man who made me swoon. Kacee is a woman I could easily see as a friend and both were easy to relate too.
This was a sweet, well written romance that ticked a number of boxes for me and it was great to catch up with other members of the team as well. The journey that Kacee and Charlie embark on was rocky but it was worth it in the end.

Gold Hockey #15

Charlie transferred to San Francisco working for Steele Technologies after he broke up with his ex. His sister Scarlett worked for the San Francisco Gold hockey team in the publicity department and he wanted to be closer to family and friends. He's finding it hard to get over his broken heart when he's around all the happy couples and he finds out his ex just transferred to the same office he's in.
Kacee is trying to get back on her feet after her ex walked out and took everything. So she is working a second job as Goldie the mascot for the SF Gold Hockey team and loves it. When Charlie sees Kacee had fallen over he goes to help and when the head part fell off and she pops out he is smitten. She's not one for letting people in anymore but Charlie keeps trying.
They both have so much baggage and are learning to trust again, can they let down their walls?

This story also involves having been in an abusive relationship and learning how to talk about it. Well done!

Caught is book 14 in Gold Hockey Series by Elise Faber. This is Charlie and Kacee’s story. We met Charlie Andrews in previous books in this series for he is the brother of San Francisco Gold hockey publicist, Scarlett who just got her own story in #13. Kacee is the newest member of Gold Hockey team relating to the team's mascot and she is a phenomenal carpenter. Because of her jerk ex took quite literally everything from her, she is having to work 2 jobs to make money and that's how she and Charlie meet. These are 2 people who have been terribly hurt by their past partners and are just waiting for the next "shoe" to drop, so to speak. Charlie and Kacee are perfect for each other and there are some twists coming into play for them that keeps the story interesting and the tension in play. The chemistry between the leads is good and the ending was written to go off just right. Without giving any spoilers away, the team is there to help and give support and love can bloom.

Caught is book 15 of Elise Faber’s Gold Hockey series and is a touching instalove romance read. I am a huge, huge fan of the extended Gold hockey family. They are a great team and a fantastic group of people. The Gold are family goals. I love each and every one of them and this book confirms that.

Kacee is a talented carpenter who has hit a rough patch. To make ends meet, she works as Goldie, the Gold’s beloved mascot. Charlie is PR Scarlett’s, brother. They meet under interesting circumstances and it is instant, undeniable chemistry. And this is where things get interesting. Kacee broke my heart with what she was going through and Charlie’s situation wreaked havoc on me emotionally as well. Watching them fall for each other, overcome their issues, be there for each other, made this the beautiful read in one sitting romance that it is.

I’m giving Caught the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Another wonderful book in the Gold Hockey series. Charlie, Scarlett’s brother, is so single among all the couples in the Gold extended family and he’s feeling more than lonely since he his abusive ex has moved to town and works for the same company.

Kacee, the Gold’s mascot Goldie is struggling to survive after her ex stole almost everything from her. She’s ashamed of her situation and not letting anyone in to see how bad her situation really is.

These relationship between these two characters begins after an accidental run in while Kacee is in her Goldie costume. They each have baggage to work through before they can find their HEA, but on their journey the extended Gold family is there to help, give advice and hangout.

The Gold Hockey series is a favorite of mine because all the characters are amazing, each relationship is different with new struggles and issues, but the characters are close knit and we continue to see the relationships grow.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another wonderful book set in the Gold Hockey series.

Charlie and Kacee are two people who have been hurt by their previous partners, so both are on edge. Yet here they are trying their best to push forward, and claim their happily ever after.

The meet cute was adorable, and perfect for these two characters. It had me smiling.

Throughout the book I was trying to figure out what Charlie's ex had done, and when it finally came out, I was crushed. I want to expand on that character, and their scenes together, but I can't because spoilers.

I will say that I loved how the team rallied around Kacee, and gave her a sense of normalcy. As well as a family to call hers. This group is just incredible.

As for the moment of conflict between the two, I wasn't expecting that. Looking back, now that I know the full story, I can see how it was building. But as I was in the moment, it took me by surprise.

Also, loved the set up for the next book!

This book is part of a series but each book stands alone and is about a different couple. I have read some books in this series but not all of them. The series features friends, employees and family of a San Franscisco Gold Hockey team.

This was a very unique story in several ways. First, Charlie is a bisexual. He also refers to himself as a Beta and not an Alpha. This is very true. He is a great guy, very sweet and kind and giving but he is also very vulnerable.

Kaycee has no family but she has made some really awesome friends but she also has a lot of pride and so asking for help is very hard for her. She sees Charlie and realises he needs help and so in turn she lets him help her too and a wonderful friendship is born. This was a great friends to lovers romance.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What an incredible story. Charlie and Kacee had the perfect love at first sight love story. Kacee is the adorable Gold mascot (that looks like a poop emoji). Someone has hurt before her, and she's apprehensive around anyone. Then Charlie bumps into her: love hits her and Charlie right away.
Both characters were coming off horrible relationships. Charlie's story made me cry, though. His ex was abusive and even followed him back to the States. While poor Kacee lost everything when her ex stole her tools, furniture, plates, heck anything that wasn't pinned down. Finding each other at the right time was what they both needed.
Charlie encouraged Kacee and it made her blossom. But it was Charlie that needed saving. Guess who saved him: Kacee.
This is now the 2nd story I've read in the Gold Series. I'm going back to read more. I can't get enough of the characters or Elise's writing. She knows how to tell a story where both characters learn to love, heal, and live again.

Kacee is Goldie, the Gold's team mascot and best friends with Scar. Her life is one mess after another and when her ex husband all but destroys her she does the only thing she can. Tries to stand on her own two feet while being a team mascot with nothing in her house, not furniture, not food. Nothing.

When she accidentally runs into Scar's brother, Charlie, sparks fly. Charlie is right there with her but his past has left him damaged in more ways than one and when his past is front and center in his life can he let it go?

No matter how much he helps Kacee break down her walls and open up to him, Charlie builds his walls up and shuts her out. When he does the one thing he knows he will hurt her most, will he ever be able to move on and fix it? Will Kacee give him another chance?

Charlie (who is Scarlett from PR's sister and that we met in a previous book) and Kate, a down on her luck carpenter who takes on the job of being the Gold's mascot "Goldie" to earn extra cash, literally bowl each other over! When Charlie runs into Kacee in the Goldie costume, all Kacee can think of is the awful smell that being stuck inside this costume night after night generates and desperately tries to escape before she completely scares off the man with the red hair and gorgeous eyes. But Charlie seems unfazed and so begins their beautiful instalove story. Or it would be, if they weren't both broken by previous relationships. They need to learn to trust, to feel worthy and to accept what they have between them if they are going to make this their HEA. Love this series. It feels like you're cocooned in the love of a huge extended family, so you'll never feel alone again.

Caught is a fantastic addition to the Gold Hockey series. I loved this one. Kacee is fantastic. She may be down on her luck, but she has so much heart and does not give up. Charlie is trying to move on from an abusive relationship and has his hang ups. You feel the attraction from the start when it comes to Kacee and Charlie. I love how the whole Gold hockey team just takes her in as family. Kacee may be a little stubborn, but she never gives up on Charlie. I love Kacee and Charlie together. They will make you smile and giggle a times as they heat up the pages. This is a fantastic read of two people overcoming their past relationships and all the bad in their lives and lifting each other up. I love the whole Gold Hockey series and cannot wait for more to come. Go one click this one.

Kacee is still trying to overcome the financial toll that her last relationship took on her and has learnt once again that the only person she can count on is herself. While working as the mascot for the Gold she meets Charlie who manages to break through her walls in a way she never expected.

Charlie has recently returned from Korea and moved to San Francisco to be near his sister who is working for the Gold. His feelings for Kacee were immediate and intense but will the past he is trying to escape destroy the future he could have with Kacee?

Kacee and Charlie are exactly what the other needs in their lives, but they have some turmoil to overcome as they help each other heal from the past.

This is the fifteenth book in this incredible series and is Charlie and Kacee’s story. Charlie has a broken heart and is visiting his sister who is the publicist for the Gold Hockey team, and Kacee needs a second job to try and make ends meet, and she is Goldie the mascot for the Gold’s. From the moment these two meets there is an intense attraction between them, but the past has a habit of raising its head. This is a well written story with engaging and relatable characters, and has emotions, humor, witty banter, family, friendships, secrets, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I always highly recommend.

Hockey mascot, past trauma, self reliant, with a bit of humor and amazing spice! This book was a great combination of it all. I loved how these characters also broke some of the gender stereotypes. I also loved how when each character faltered, in life or love, the other was there for them. They knew that what the heart wants is not always what that brain dictates, and sometimes the brain needs a bit to catch up to the heart.

This is not the first book in the series but can be read as a complete stand alone. Everything you need to know will be given to you. However once you read this book you will want to read the rest!

4.5 ⭐️ emotionally engaging love story of two wounded hearts.

Heartwarming would be an insipid description of this story. This book ‘Caught’ me on page one and held on until the very end. Kacee and Charlie need each other on such an emotional level it is hard to describe. I loved the ‘funk’ of Goldie (Kacee) and the vulnerability exhibited by Charlie. This book is such an engaging read from beginning to end, it was hard to put down.

Charlie thought Kacee deserved the world. Kacee thought Charlie deserved love. They healed each other. It is rare I read a book and feel for both characters so much. This is my favorite of the series.
