A scarred heart, an office errand, and an avalanche that could rescue them both. Could being snowed in change everything for them? Snowed in at the Villa is a sweet, contemporary romance with a guaranteed happily ever after. Enjoy this fun, flirty Hallmark-style Christmas romance by Chelsea Hale.
Kat doesn’t cry over her life. Well not anymore. She is single (again) and happy about it, and with a string of odd jobs from the temp service, she has just the right amount of variety without all the drama. When an avalanche on a narrow mountain road changes her plans, she gets to see her new recluse boss in an unconventional way, and it’s messing with her plans. And her heart.
Logan likes living remotely in his villa nestled in the mountains. Solitude has done wonders for his mental health. Mostly he doesn’t think about the past, just guards his wounded heart. When his chef takes the night off, he orders take-out, and when the delivery girl shows up, she has no food.
Kat is unlike any woman Logan has ever met, but his new hire has just made his quiet, secluded life a nightmare. It doesn’t help that she’s attractive. Or smart. Or funny. He can’t and won’t get involved with anyone. Not again.
Being snowed in brings out a lot of things that Logan would prefer to leave alone, but Kat engages him, and he’s intrigued. Could being snowed in change everything for both of them?
This was the perfect book to kick off my holiday reading! The story was unique and fun and the romance was just right. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series!
Snowed In At The Villa hit all the right notes—handsome, good-hearted, talented boss meets beautiful, capable, kind temp worker and they are snowed in when an office errand puts them on the wrong side of the path of a big avalanche. Or was it actually the right side of the path? After their exes got done with mistreating them, neither Logan nor Kat were looking for love so they both tried to ignore the undeniable chemistry that buzzed between them and they were almost successful except for that one amazing kiss that upended everything. This clean romance kept my attention from beginning to end—a real page turner—and I love that it had a happy ending. Highly recommend! I received an advance copy from the author and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.
A great book to get you in the Christmas mood! Why love has to be so complicated is hard to understand. This story reads like a Hallmark movie and one that you want to watch again in case you missed a sigh or two! A fun addition to the series!
When an early snowstorm cancelled school and work today, it seemed like a sign that I needed to read Snowed in at the Villa. It was the perfect escape. Sweet and funny, touching, and just the right amount of holiday cliche. I loved the little moments between Kat and Logan: the post-it notes, the snow shoeing, the tree decorating, and the ghosts in the attic. It was so cute!
Content: clean (kissing, no language, no violence)
I enjoyed this book so much I would like to be snowed in at the villa. The characters really sold the story. It was funny that Logan was Kat's boss but she had never met him. She worked for her friend's temp agency and is helping Logan out before Christmas. He pictures her as an old, matronly woman and not as the beautiful, young woman that she is. I really enjoyed the joking and banter between the characters after Kat drove up the mountain to pick up some boxes but ended up stuck at Logan's villa during a major snowstorm that closed the roads for several days. It was fun to see if the couple would act on their attraction or remain boss and colleague. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly choose to write an honest review.
Two people who have been hurt hones in on their task at hand, enjoying their work in solidarity - it's all business! Until they meet in person. The Boss and the Temp are stuck together for several days due to a raging snow storm. Is being in this situation going to change their outlook? A must-read to see how the story ends!
This book was billed as a "clean" romance, and it was. It was also cute, sweet, and a quick, entertaining read. In December, I enjoy reading Holiday romances, so saved this until now to read. Would I like a bit more heat? Yes; however, this was a lovely beginning to my Holiday reading and I'm glad I took a chance on Chelsea Hale. I would read more of her books, to be sure.
This was a fun story to read. Kat didn't like being around people and found a job where she was able to work on her own, with just little contact with her boss. She got a message that she needed to pick up boxes ASAP, so she headed out. She drove right up the mountain into a snow storm. Logan hates being around people as well. He works from his villa in the mountains and try's to stay away from others. When Kat comes to pick up the boxes he has ready to send he realizes the women he hired is young and beautiful. A terrible combination for him. Because of the storm they are stuck in the villa working and living together. The get to know each other and learn about each other. But miscommunications occur and they part as less than friends. After he calls her back up to the Villa they find they are both learning to live again, and want the other to be a part of their life.
I was given an ARC of this book and left this review voluntarily. All opinions expressed are my own.
This was a nice little read. Ideal for the wintertime to snuggle up in a plushy plaid with a warm cocoa in the reading nock. A clean, lovely romance without any drama and an expected HEA. Some laughs were also included as to one very persistent italien statue… or fountain … As this book was a recommandation, I did read the reviews first, before purchasing. Something I never do. As I never read the blurbs either. And I definitely never do that again as I was desperately waiting for the moment they both took the wrong way… lol. That moment never came. Luckily perhaps… So, a word to the missing star. The first half felt like five. But then, near the end somewhere I lost them. Completely. I just couldn’t find the feelings anymore. But it really is a nice read nether the less. Enjoy it!
Kat is a temporary employ in Logan’s downtown office. She gets her instructions via email and telephone but has never met Logan. When she receives an email instructing her to pick up some files ASAP she immediately heads to the address she is given. She didn’t realize she would be arriving at her bosses home during a snowstorm. Both of the characters have experienced a bad breakup in the past. How do they survive four and a half days together? I enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone who likes good clean romances.
This was a wintry, contemporary, clean romance with a "Snowed In" setting. Since I live in the South, I have never been "Snowed In" before and I really enjoy books with this genre. It was a quick, easy, Hallmarky type romance that takes place at Christmas time. The characters and setting were well written. Plus, I loved the epilogue for 2 years later!! This is part of a "Snowed In" series and I would like to read some more of them (written by multiple authors).
Kat only worked temporary jobs. She didn't like staying at one job too long. The job she has now seems perfect for her. That is, until she has to take something to her boss at his villa. She got caught in a terrible snow storm and had to spend a few days there. This book is very well written. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The boss, an employee and a blizzard brought two hurting hearts together. An apology about a mistake caused confusion that destroyed budding relationship. Can what was lost be rekindled? This story was delightful, the characters believable and the book well written.
It was nice romance happening, between a temp worker and her boss. She happened to get snowed in at his villa Shared a kiss, and feelings were developing for them. Happy ending with a bundle of joy, about to get born. Christmas full of love and joy.
Logan is Kat’s boss but they’ve never met. When Kat is strangled in Logan’s villa by a snowstorm the attraction is powerful. Can Ket keep working for Logan father their kiss? A beautiful and sweet story about second chances, new beginnings and the Christmas magic
I loved Logan and Kat’s interactions even before they met. Their chemistry was wonderful and the book was heartfelt and funny as well. Characters were really good and believable. I really enjoyed it, and highly recommend.
I loved the mystery of never seeing her boss until she made the delivery to his villa. Enjoyed the interaction of the characters and their attraction to each other. Fun read.
A nice romantic story of employee-boss falling in love. Kat has a great sense of humor and presents herself as a very competent and loyal employee, until she meets her boss….
She makes a delivery but then gets snowed in for a while. He is waiting on the delivery driver to bring dinner. Image their surprise. Good clean romance.
It felt like it lost a little momentum at the end, but over all it was full of sweet moments. Clean. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and a blanket and enjoy
Kat makes an emergency delivery and ends up snowed in with the boss - Logan. These two are quite funny. They are so attracted to each other but are fighting it. Time spent together makes it harder to resist. Loved the snow scenes. Sweet ending.
