This was a good collection of short stories to help me build some vocabulary. I was less interested in the phrases and was really only after the stories. This book is good for a mature reader that would like something more complex than a children's story, but not too advanced for a beginner learning french. The stories progress in difficulty as you read and I enjoyed the challenge of the last few stories.
This is a nice way for someone learning French to practice. It could have used a little closer proofreading. (one story had 2 French named characters and the English translation had 2 German names for the same characters.) I want to look for more of these types of practice stories,
