Baby signs for hearing children/parents. Nice dictionary/guide (with good, instructive photos) for learning a wide variety of words (giraffe! firetruck!) and good background/tips for teaching signs to little ones, including some options for alternate (non-ASL) signs that the tiniest beginners can use. Note to librarians: not that many songs in here, but still a nice guide.
didn't finish. Never really got into it. It seems like a book that if you have lots of time to devote to memorizing the signs and you're really devoted to the idea, it'd be good.
but i'm apparently not that devoted to the idea of baby sign. i think we will survive.
Loved the format! Exactly what I needed in the “Aah!! Baby is 6 months old so I should start signing but haven’t had time to read ANYTHING let alone a book about how to incorporate signing” frame of mind. Love that the pictures are easy to understand and that she gave ideas on how to incorporate the signs in an easy, fast way.
