I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Sunny wasn’t having the best week, she was used to being the best at everything so when she gets a low grade, she decides that this is the week that she is going to embrace college life with the help of her friend and roommate Dalia. Which is how she finds herself having a few too many and deciding that tonight is the night that she is going to lose her virginity. Spotting the perfect candidate, she makes her move only to discover that this guy is a big deal and even through the fog of alcohol what they are sharing seems more than just a one night but when he ignores her could she have been mistaken about what they shared and when they meet again will she have moved on?
Holt Barlowe is the star quarterback of his college football team and his heading for the first draft pick for the NFL, so when he is out on a night out and is approached by a woman, he is waiting for her to make the usual moves only she is nothing like he is used to, he is immediately beguiled by her and he knows that what they have shared together was something so much more than a one night stand. He had every intention of calling Sunny but when he plays the worst game of his career, he decides that his focus needs to be on football and ghosts her. Will his superstition cost him the girl meant for him or will he realis in time and convince her to give them a second chance?
This is my first book by this author, and I loved every second of the book. Sunny was delightful ad really did leave me smiling and Holt was perfect for her once he realized what he was about to lose, didn’t stop me wanting to slap him upside the head though. This was my idea of escapism during a stressful day. I am definitely looking forward to reading a lot more from this author. 4.5* Read

Sunny Moore is a studious, serious, pre-med freshman who has failed an exam for the first time in her life. Her world is turned upside down and she decides to drink herself into oblivion at the local bar where freshmen are known to frequent. She decides also that it’s beyond time she rids herself of her virginity and her eyes settle on a giant, overly muscular man, who looks like he wants to be anywhere but in the bar where he looks out of place among all these students. She approaches him and with the false bravado of alcohol propelling her feet and her tongue simultaneously she flirts with the behemoth, not having any clue that he is none other than Holt Barlowe, a star player for the football team and a man earmarked as a future NFL player. The chemistry is off the charts between the two and their mutual need to consummate their relationship controls their actions. Holt is captivated by Sunny and wants to consume her because she is so unlike all the women who throw themselves at him due to his fame as a football player. She is adorably drunk and lets him know of her virginity and her decision to designate him as the man to rid her of that problem. This hot, steamy, well-written and very entertaining short story by Gigi Love will keep you reading until the last page as you learn of the plot twist that follows their passionate night together. This book is a keeper!

Sunny meets Upper Classman and football star Holt when they are out at a bar with their friends and neither really wants to be there. Sunny spots the attractive Hold and goes over to speak with him. Holt can't believe that Sunny doesn't know that he is a big deal on campus as he is a football star headed for the NFL. Sunny honestly has no idea who he is and he finds it refreshing. The two spend the night together and realize they really like one another and oh yeah... Holt helped Sunny lose her virginity..
The next day after a horrible game Hold realizes that he is consumed with Sunny and needs to stay away from her. He feels she is a distraction he doesn't need since he performed so poorly in the game and blames it all on her and avoids her like the plague.
I really liked this couple, they were cute together, they had chemistry and I could see this happening on a college campus. The book length was just right and this story was not over the top. Definitely kept my interest and it was a quick read. Bonus points for giving me an Epilogue!!

'Her Filthy Linebacker' by Gigi Love is a well written and well developed book which tells the story of Sunny, a college freshman, and Holt, the star linebacker. Sunny is drowning her sorrows after failing her first, ever in her life. Sunny notices Holt in the bar and approaches him. Holt is used to be an approached by people, especially women who want to say that they were with him and he is tired of being used. However, Sonny doesn't know who he is, maybe this time it will be different.
Although this book is short it is well written with likable characters, great dialogue, and an interesting plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read with their glass of wine.

Short, steamy, and packed full of emotions
Sunny and Holt from to opposite side of the spectrum. He a football player and her a nerd. When she fails a test she goes to a bar, has a few drinks and meets him. She doesn't know who he is and one thing leads to another and they go back to his place. In the morning they both feel the change but when he loses the game he makes a choice and things for them become strained. When they see each other at the bar again what will? Will he see that he can have more than just football? Can she understand where he gets his thinking from? A short read that will make you laugh, cry a little, and hope that these two can make it. Can't wait to read the what this author has next.

Feeling brave she approaches a sexy stranger across the bar. Holt Barlowe is intrigued and definitely attracted when Sunny comes up to him and she has no idea he is the star linebacker. After an explosive night together, Holt can't get her out of his head. Will his obsession with her prove to be too much of a distraction on the field and cost him his NFL career? Definitely recommend.

When it seems like being with Sunny has affected Holt’s football game, he tries to push her away. Can he really push away fate? Read their story and find out.

Beautiful, sweet and steamy short read.
Wow! This book was so fantastic - it’s hard to believe how much the author packed into such a short story. Sunny and Holt were lovely characters with an instant connection. They gave me all the feels and I really felt the magic between them. Beautiful.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Holt and Sunny. She's a freshman and he's the shady star linebacker. She sees him at the bar, standing alone and serious. When she confronts him, not knowing him, he decides to take a chance. Great chemistry.

A quick short steamy romance of first times and feeling a deep connection. I enjoyed the characters and Sunny’s boldness when given the chance to tell how she really feels. I liked Holt with his sense of responsibility, but glad he came to his senses when he realizes you can have more than one dream.

This fast-paced romance didn't have a lot of depth but I found it entertaining. Sunny is slightly drunk when she approached Holt in the bar. They end up having a passionate night but Holt doesn't think he needs the distraction as he wants to make the NFL. This leads to some drama and angst.
