An excellent view of the life and times of Charles Schultz and the Peanuts comic strip, which he hand drew and lettered himself from its beginning until his retirement. Even before Peanuts Charles Schultz was the man behind "Just keep Laughing" and "Li'l Folks by Sparky" which was later renamed Peanuts with its first published comic strip in 1950. Since then, the Peanuts gang has touched each and every one of us, whether you relate to Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder, Pig Pen or even the greatest one in my opinion Snoopy who was inspired by Schultz’s own dog Spike, you will not be disappointed with this book. "LIFE Peanuts The World's Greatest Comic Strip" gives us a look at the making of, the influences for, and the history behind Peanuts. Charles Schultz and the legacy he has left behind with his greatest creation lives on, and this short book answers many questions and tells us things we never realized about the inspirations behind this Classic.

Nice analysis of the comic strip. Wish it had more of the strip in it.

Each character of the Peanuts family was written about and included Charles Schulz's thoughts on his work.
