My Fiery Valentine – this was a great read, my first intro to V and Claire, and I love getting to know the Kings. Cannot wait to find out even more. You can read this as a stand-alone and it’s the perfect month for the romance, the love, all the good feels, the heat, gotta love that heat and then “bean” – made their presence. I must be waiting for my Dragon King, but until that happens, I will spend as much time in Dreagan as I can.

There truly is no better holiday for romance readers that Valentine’s Day and Donna Grant celebrates that this year with a sweet and sexy vignette returning to the world of the Dragon Kings. Long-time readers will be thrilled to see this glimpse into the happy lives of the newly-returned-to-earth Vlad and Claire, having returned from Zora after the perilous and successful birth of their Daughter, Pearl. Being new parents is always difficult for a couple, even apparently when one of them is a millennia old Dragon King, and when Valentine’s Day rolls around they both decide it is time for some special baby-free time. Luckily for them they have the beautiful and supportive family at Dreagan to help them reignite the passion and rekindle their commitment to their relationship. Pearl is obviously the greatest treasure any of the Kings or their mates have ever seen—giving many of them hope for a family of their own—and they are all eager to offer babysitting services of course, but the love and assistance they offer V and Claire as they work to pull off Valentine’s day surprises for one another is truly endearing, though certainly not surprising. This story was filled with moment of sweetness, love, laughter, and the deep and abiding passion we’ve come to expect from the Kings for their mates and vice versa. I enjoyed every moment of the story and am so glad that V and Claire managed to find their permanent HEA despite the evil that tried to ruin everything for them and that their little family of three will forever be surrounded by and a part of the larger family of Dreagan. I cannot wait to see more of the future for these couples and their fellow Kings as they also find love in the spin-off Dragon Kings series which is still fully ongoing. Donna Grant as always keeps us intrigued with her wit, sass, and understanding of all kinds of love and celebrates it all in this story, reminding us all that there is truly nothing more important in this world than love. A short and utterly sweet story of V, Claire and cute baby Pearl. I'm always very happy to come back to Draegan even if it is for a short visit. Here we see what a worrywort daddy V turned out to be, that part was too funny. Parents, especially new parents need to reconnect with each other and this book is about that. I'm thrilled to read cameos of other Dragon Kings and their mates. Truly a delight!

Dragons can be romantic
This short novella is re-visiting Vlad (V) and Clare, who’ve had multiple problems in their short time together. Set at Dreagan, with cameo appearances of some of the other Kings and their mates, we see both Clare and V embracing the ideas of Valentine’s Day. Each has decided to surprise the other with romance. An enjoyable, well-written story, we get a glimpse of what life is like for those who call Dreagan home. Donna has written this story to include only those who are residing there, and how they spend their time. A reader will find only good thoughts and happy times in this novella, which is fine after all the extended family has gone and will go through. Having read all the prior books will make this book easier to understand. I received this ARC of My Fiery Valentine from the author through BookFunnel, and this is my honest opinion.

I loved this quick look at V and Claire's life together. It was short and very sweet.
I love seeing the quick peeks into the lives of the characters. If you don't like short stories this may not be for you, but if you do, and have read the dark kings series, I recommend this quick sweet read.

MY FIERY VALENTINE is a novella length story line found in Donna Grant’s contemporary, adult DARKS KINGS paranormal/fantasy romance series. This is the continuing story of copper Dragon King Vlad aka V, and his mate Claire. MY FIERY VALENTINE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. A heart melting loving story
Valentine's Day has arrived at Dreagan, and new parents V, King of the Coppers, and Claire have decided to make this a special one for each other. All the worry about Claire's pregnancy and the birth of little Pearl has gone, now it's time to reconnect and return to the loving couple they always were.
Donna has written a beautiful story of two people surprising each other with an evening filled with love and romance. Shopping, pampering and the need to feel sexy once again, has Claire prepared to remind V of the woman he fell in love with. V also has the perfect surprise for Claire, one that just made my heart melt.
This novella is a wonderful glimpse into the life of a new little family. V was hilarious with his protectiveness toward Pearl, I pity any boys that even look at Pearl. V and Claire are just in awe of their daughter, as are the extended Dreagan family. I loved how everybody was just fascinated by Pearl, and the constant bickering over who was going to be the first couple to look after her.
I adore the Dragon Kings and their mates. Donna always has the right words when describing just how much love and support exists within this large family.

New parents Claire and V have been through hell. First an evil fae makes sure she becomes pregnant, and both she and her beautiful baby Pearl almost die in the process. Not to mention what the evil Others have done to V over the centuries. Their blazing, hot love brought them through it all, and they both want a little normalcy in their lives when they realize it’s Valentine’s Day.
What a wonderful glimpse into the world of the Dragon Kings and their mates; all of which fight for the honor of being the first to babysit the adorable Pearl for the first time so Claire and V can enjoy some alone time. We see Claire dealing with trying to feel hot and attractive again after the (traumatic) birth of her baby. We watch V do everything in his power to show Claire how much he loves and desires her. Even as someone who doesn’t really like the “holiday”, my heart melted and I actually said, “awwww” (out loud) a few times.
Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. For Claire and V’s full story, read Ignite. This sweet, short story inspired me to go back and reread their story once again. Sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye to a couple at the end of their book, you feel as though you’ve invested a part of yourself in their HEA. With all the hardships, anger, fighting, and most of all fear comes the love of two people. actually, a group of people. With the fear over of losing their baby at least through birth, V King of the Copper and Clair can at least breath and enjoy their daughter Pearl. Now it is time for V to show how much he loves Clair. It’s Valentine's Day and he will do whatever it takes to prove to her that she is loved and loved well.
Clair feels she needs to show V how much he is loved and so Clair enlists the help of her “sisters” and will do whatever it takes to show V the love she has for him.
Even with a life of uncertainties they all work together to make this a special night for both Clair and V. It will be a night they both remember.
This was a great book to read. They love and they all have for each other and all that they will do for each other. Their lives will always have challenges, but they will all work together. Donna Grant

My Fiery Valentine is another peek inside the daily, not life or death, lives of Donna Grant’s Dragon Kings.
In this snippet of life at Dreagan, we get to see how the extended family is with “their” first bairn is eons. V & Claire may have been the ones with the most to lose if little Pearl did not make into this world alive, but all of the extended family at Dreagan would have suffered too had Brandr not saved Claire and Pearl.
V and Claire both want to make this Valentine’s Day special, and they each have the help of their family to make it so. The women help Claire pamper herself while some of the other Kings help V with his surprise. They have no lack of willing babysitters for little Pearl, who is acquiring quite a few nicknames from the rest of the family (and not all of them are to V’s liking!)
This story was a sweet look into our favorite dragon family’s life and I am grateful that Donna Grant gives us these little stories that are just for the sake of the characters.

This is a short novella set in the Dragon Kings world and centered around Claire and her King V, along with their daughter Pearl. Valentine's Day has arrived and Both V and Claire know that they just want something normal after everything they have been through recently. Not only do we get to see how everyone is handling having a baby in their midst, but also how they are dealing with the day to day changes to their lives. I loved how we get to see not only how much V loves his mate and child but how truly protective he is of them. I loved the fact that the other mates don't begrudge Claire her child, even knowing that they may never have that same path open to them. They actually fight over who gets to babysit-I loved that! Little snippets like these are honestly what makes me continue to love this series so much. Just being able to see behind the bigger stories and see things that happen in their day to day lives-it's a beautiful thing!

My Fiery Valentine is truly a Valentine's Day card to long time readers of the Dragon Kings saga. V and Claire are wanting to surprise each other with the holiday coming up and thanks to many of the Kings and mates they are able to do so.
That simple summary does not do justice to the nuances of humor and love that run deeply through this short novella. I enjoyed watching everyone "fight" over baby Pearl, the only infant over the entire series and thus surrounded by aunts and uncles demanding time! I found myself wishing that all of the Kings and mates got their own epilogue novella because after so many years, and characters you can't help having favorites!
There is no villain in this novella, simply hints of -past and future conflicts which hopefully will intrigue new readers into picking up the series. For the seasoned saga reader this is truly a love letter to us and for us, and i am very grateful for it!!!

Okay, I found V worrying about his daughter’s safety and future so irresistible. It is nice to see that he has the normal concerns any newbie parent would about their daughter. His protectiveness towards her is adorable!
MY FIERY VALENTINE is apart of Donna Grant’s paranormal romance series, DARK KING. I would recommend newcomers to read IGNITE, book fifteen. That is V and Claire’s full-length story.

My Fiery Valentine by Donna Grant is a sweet sexy look at love celebrated in the Dreagan realm. Life is changing now that Con and Rhi have found their grown children it seems that more little ones are arriving. This time without the tragic results and lasting separation that happen for the previous parents.
This is such a wonderful glimpse in the home life and still so in love life of V and Claire. Great to see the others who come along in the celebration and declaration of love between V and Claire for each other and for family.
Short novella, more of a what happens next in their lives instead of a full-fledged novel. Kudos for the author who allows the reader to stay connected to favorite characters.

A romantic novella with the Dragon King V and his mate Claire making decisions about their future. With a new baby their lives have changed. Little Pearl is so lucky to have adoring parents plus all the aunts and uncles at Dreagan. I love these fantasy romances with the hunky dragons finding their mates and fighting their enemies. There’s no suspense and danger in this story just pure bliss as the happy couple plans the perfect Valentine Day for each other. After the drama around Pearl’s birth these two fabulous characters deserve happiness. It’s swoon worthy delightful as the plans come together with the help of the others Kings and the mates. Sisters and brothers in every way and I love the glimpses of these other characters. This is a terrific addition to this thrilling series full of love. A quick read with fabulous characters. Loved it!

V isn't scared to admit that he needs help and calls in every fellow king to help him craft Claire's perfect V-Day! OMW - this King knows just how to make sure that his mate knows exactly how much he loves and adores her and their little treasure!
But at the same time Claire has drafted in her sisters-from-other-misters to do just the same for V. He's always made her the centre of his world and she wants to show him just how much she loves him for it.

After a high-risk pregnancy and delivery, Claire and her sexy dragon king V, live happily ever after with not a care in the world. Scratch that. Now that they are the first parents in the longest time for a Dragon King with a non-dragon mate, V now worries about so many things that could befall on his little bundle of joy. Claire is just as concerned and as a new mother, a bit frazzled. Still, parents are foremost lovers too. They need couple's time and with so many aunties and uncles wanting to babysit bean, this is a perfect time for a romantic date night.

Sweet and steamy Valentine short story featuring V, Claire, and baby bean (as named by the other dragons), Pearl. V worrying about Pearl growing up and getting hurt when she was older was absolutely adorable*. I loved how the other dragon kings and their mates wanted to look after Pearl so that Claire and V could a Valentine's date night they needed...and deserved.

Heartwarming....re-affirmation of love
V and Claire love their life. They live at Dreagan with the other Dragon Kings and their mates and have their miracle baby Pearl. Life is good.
Claire realizes that it is Valentine's Day and she decides she wants to do something special for V so she decides for a day of self pampering and an evening with her husband. She looks beautiful and yes, sexy and goes to meet her husband. V has a surprise for her also. He spent the day putting together a special evening for his wife.
This is such a heartwarming story! Claire had a very complicated pregnancy so it was a very stressful time for V and Claire. They needed this time to find one another again and re-affirm their love.

This was a sweet Valentine day snippet in the lives of V, Claire and baby Pearl. With all of the emotional stress that V and Claire endured, Valentine’s Day was an extra special Day. V and some of the DK’s were on a mission to make sure Claire had a memorable night. How Sweet!!! Claire was on a mission of her own, with the help of her follow Mates, she needed a complete make over. It was good to see Claire have a well-deserved day of pampering, and how all of the Mates rallied around her to make sure her day was special. It was adorable to see how the Dragon Kings and their Mates, plan to spoil Pearl and their fight to see, which couple will be the first to babysit her. This was a quick fun read. Thank you Donna Grant, for a Valentine’s Day gift.

My Fiery Valentine by Donna Grant is a Valentine tale set on the fabulous Dreagan territory. V, King of Coppers, and his mate, Claire have successfully brought their little one, Pearl into the world. All the aunts and uncles at Dreagan are in love with the little one and cannot wait to shower her with love and attention. Which works out well because it’s Valentine’s Day and Claire needs to feel sexy again. What’s that you say? A girl’s day out for shopping and pampering? I’m in, says Claire. Donna weaves together Valentine’s Day romance with family bonds and just the right amount of magic to create delightful very short tale of love.

I cannot say I have ever read a love story written better, than one by Ms. Grant. With each couple, you can feel their love coming off of the pages. Claire and V have been through so much since the beginning of their pregnancy. With the birth of a very healthy Pearl. Valentine's Day is perfect for them to celebrate the love they have for one another. At Dreagan, these two will plan an evening full of romance, love and some well deserved 'alone' time. With the help of their family, of course. This heartwarming tale is a reminder to express to your loved ones how much they mean to you. Everyday. This is my voluntary opinion of an advanced copy I received.

V and Claire have probably been through the worst of all the mated couples in Dreagan. So it only seems fair that they have a sweet Valentines with the help of the others!
It was super cute seeing V around his baby but seeing the other Dragon Kings? Adorable and comical!
They’re all enamored with the baby, and why wouldn’t they be! She’s all their miracle.
Aside from baby Pearl, it is Valentine’s day and Claire has been a little occupied and didn’t notice. She wants to do something special for V for all he’s done for her and of course he does something for her as well.

Just another little glimpse into the world of a Dragon King and his mate.
This time it's V and Claire. And it's Valentine's Day....a time of love and romance. This couple has plenty of both in addition to the fact they are the only couple who has a child. Will this be something to happen to other couples, who knows but to see all the Kings so excited over a baby is so freaking adorable that you almost forget where here to celebrate with V and Claire.
It's a sweet, short story but unlike a box of chocolates it won't give you a toothache or add 5 lbs to your bootie! So sit back and enjoy a little time out.

We revisit the angst they shared with their extended dragon family over the fate of their unborn daughter and Pearl's birth. They both plan surprises for the other with the help of their large family and at the same time plan their future together. This is a very happy feel good story.

This is the sweetest novella. Love is in the air as Claire and V reflect on everything they have been through and what the future holds for them. They have weathered the storm and now have a beautiful daughter, Pearl, to love and protect. We are brought back to Dreagan for the novella and get to see some of our favorite Dragon Kings and their mates. It warmed my heart seeing the powerful Dragon Kings fuss over Pearl and argue who was going to babysit her first. Definitely a lovely read for Valentine's Day.

I love these slice-of-life books. They are so cute. This one is about Claire and V and their new bundle of joy, Pearl. We saw them last on Zora but now they are taking some time to celebrate their love on Valentine's day. We get to see the absolute love that all of the Kings and their mates have for the new baby and the worry that the new parents carry around. This book was cute and quick. And we got a few more names for some Kings that might get their books in the future.
