A holiday two-for-one -- a couple of short stories that were easy, quick reads. "Holiday Serenade" was Rhett and Abbie's second chance to get it right. "Make My Wish Come True" was my favorite of the two with Chloe and Oliver and a fresh new romance after a past of heartache for Chloe.

1) I liked the storyline and the characters were well written. Rhett and Abbie were meant for each other. I liked that he was determined to get his gal. Only wish there had been an epilogue showing them happy and settled and maybe a pregnancy announcement.
2) This was a romantic and sweet story. Chloe is spending the holidays with her family and she is feeling low. Used and dumped by her boyfriend and now unsure of her own writing skills. She takes a walk and wanders into a glasshouse full of roses and meets Oliver. He breeds hybrid roses and is hoping to win the Breeder's Cup with his newest rose. They are both attracted to each other, hesitant and wary. I wish the epilogue had been about them being settled and happy instead of about her sister, Henri. Did Oliver win the contest? How did Chloe's book go?

No, just no.

Honestly I only read a few pages. These novellas are supposed to be set at Christmas time. Christ’s birth day, but this is just full of blasphemy, and vulgar to boot. Plus who really thinks Martha Stewart is great outside of America. Just didn’t hit the Christmas standard well at all for a wide readership.

I honestly was worried by the introductions seemed to go on and on to start the book. The first short story by Ava Miles was copywrited in 2013. It was a nice enough novella, however, it was not "new".

I liked the second novella better. Unlike all the gushing at the beginning of the book, I had never heard of Kathia. I was very surprised, in a nice way, by her story.

Both novellas are about second chances. I plan to read more by Kathia.

A Holiday of Flowers: Two Holiday Novellas by Two Best Friends

The story of two women who find love with man who are very strong. Book 1 - The Holiday Defenses - the love story of Abby and Rhett. Abby was date rape and has a baby, she did not trust men and she garden her hard. Can she learn to love? Book 2 - Make My Wish Come True - the love story of Chloe and Olive. Chloe is with her family for the holiday. Her life is falling a part, her fiance broke their engagement, she lost her job, and she has writer block. She has until Christmas Eve to write three chapters to impress a publisher. Can she do it? Great story.

All the Wishes of Your Heart

The family of characters are what any girl/woman would wish for in a family - loving, caring, easy-going, successful. How does one fit in when one has lost her way? She finds a safe heaven and begins again, nurtured, loved, cared for, and finds new love. Isn't that what we all wish for in our heart?

I liked both stories

Holiday Serenade had good characters, but I couldn't understand her anxiety about the relationship when the H was so good to her. It seems like too much.
Make my wish come true was delightful. Nice characters growing in their relationship and their own lives. Romantic.

Family is the foundation of love

Loved both these novels. Abbie found the love of her life with Rhett in Ava Miles "The Holiday Serenade". In Kathia's novel "Make My Wish Come True" Chloe finds hers with Oliver. Lovely heart warming stories.

Great reading!

Lovely short stories. Kathia is new to me but I will be looking forward to finding more of her stories. Ava Miles is a gem and I will continue to be a fan. Both stories were well written and brought the reader into the room with their characters. Bravo!

What an interesting way to spend Christmas!

A Holiday of Flowers is a wonderful and different way to look at romance during the Season of Christmas. I can't wait to see what happens in Date and with the next generation of Summerfield women! Enjoy!

Ava's book was awesome reading as always. Didn't want to put it down.
Kathia's book was hard to get into until the neighbor got involved and then it was great.

I'm sorry I didn't like the books 📚 in this set. THE HOLIDAY SERENADE 🎤 & MAKE MY WISH 🕯COME TRUE: didn't grab my interest. I'm happy 😊 this set introduced me to Ava Miles & Kathia.

Insightful quick read

This was a nicely written book, with much insight and constraint. The character development was done very well. Very enjoyable!
