Recently divorced, trivia collector Jo becomes overly fixated on finding her daughter Bayley the perfect man. And who could be better for the job than musician Harry Styles himself? Armed with a cardboard cutout of Bayley in a skimpy red bikini, she and her bumbling sister Bobbi take off for the UK to try and get his attention. But when they meet Adam, a teenager bunking off school to also follow Harry's concerts, it may lead Jo down an altogether different path, this one perhaps, providing HER with a chance at love.
Nikki Perry and Kirsty Roby are sisters and writers from New Zealand who's ultimate goal is to have a drink with Harry Styles. This is their first novel.
Thank you so much Nikki and Kirsty for sending me a copy of your book to review 🧡
How to Marry Harry follows two sisters as they travel around the UK to the Harry Styles concerts, taking a cardboard cutout of their daughter/ niece in the hopes that they can set her up with Harry.
This book was exactly what I needed and I devoured it in two sittings! Just when I thought the book was going one way, it would go somewhere else and it kept me very entertained.
I lost track of how many times I giggled and kicked my feet during this book. There were also a few moments where I thought to myself “omg they did not just do that 😂”
Overall, if you’re looking for a fast paced, funny, entertaining New Zealand book I would definitely recommend How to Marry Harry!
Belly Laughs a plenty! I don't normally laugh out loud or even snort whilst reading, but this fast paced and hilarious book had me doing both. Great characters that engaged me the whole way through and I don't even like Harry Styles! Do yourself a favour and buy it, you'll be glad you did.
Two sisters go on a trip to the UK to fulfill a will request by a favourite uncle. Of course, on their trip they manage to attend a number of Harry Styles's concerts. They meet very interesting people. And they drink a lot. Meanwhile, their business at home continues to flourish. The authors (two sisters) wrote it in the hope that Harry Styles would star in the film edition of the book... Well. That may yet happen. It is nice to read about New Zealanders. However, there are a few idioms I didn't agree with "gotten" is neither a New Zealand or a UK word. "sidewalk" I thought that was American. I am nitpicking, but Jo was meant to be a proof-reader. It was a good quick light read.
Not a Harry Styles fan? Don’t worry, neither was I but I loved this book. From the shockingly funny opening chapter to the sweet happy ever after (for everyone in the story) I enjoyed this book. The authors have a sense of fun as we follow the exploits of two sisters looking for love for others, without expecting they might find it themselves. Perfect for if you need something to settle in for a heartwarming winter comfort read, or a book to enjoy by the beach.
Perfect for those looking for a light hearted, laugh out loud romance.
Two sisters, Jo and Bobbi, travel across the world on a hilarious mission to introduce Harry Styles to their daughter/niece with the hope that he may fall in love with her.
However, fate has other plans. Jo and Bobbi soon find themselves embroiled in their own love journey when some unexpected men peak their interest.
Addictive, hilarious, sweet and chaotic. I loved these characters and honestly, I just need more! It was the perfect read to pull me out of the slump I didn’t realise I was in. Lighthearted, a little silly, but full of warm fuzzy feelings.
This was laugh out loud funny!! The characters were so relatable and the cringe was there 😝 I have not stopped recommending this to friends and feel so many people would appreciate this light hearted plot line. Now to find the time to read more by the author's 🩷
