Edward Grayson built his life around making bad guys pay, but even he couldn't stop them all. The death of his daughter was the last straw, and Edward's sanity never recovered after Annabelle passed. Hungry for a means to nip crime in the bud before it claims another innocent life, a grieving but resolute Edward runs into Kron; a supernatural encounter that opens his eyes to a whole new realm of justice. How do you stop crime for good? Simple, you manipulate time and prevent it from happening in the first place. But something about punishing people for deeds they've yet to commit doesn't sit well with Edward, and the deeper he delves into his dealings with Kron, the more he realizes how misguided he may have been. And that's only the beginning. Amateur sleuth, Tiana Holmes finds a shocking pattern among crimes committed across the country over the last several years. The deeper she digs, the more her devotion to logic wanes. She quickly learns that truth is not always logical, and her search soon lands her in the heart of evil—the same evil exploiting Edward while promising him a reunion with his beloved daughter. Determined to see Annabelle again at all costs, Edward yields to Kron's command and goes in search of Billy Dunne, a hunt that finds Dinah King returning to confront an enemy she thought she'd escaped. Now, Edward, Tiana, and Dinah must face the tyranny of a time-bending fiend in a final standoff that'll see either the players getting their way or Kron finally getting his.

Detective Edward Grayson built his life around catching the bad guys, but no matter how long he worked, how many hours he put in there was just no way he could catch and stop them all. Then his daughter was killed and he was never quite the same, his grasp with reality was slowly disintegrating. He desperately wanted to find a way to stop the bad guy before he ever committed the crime. He knew when certain people were going to grow into killers. He watched their deplorable behavior grow and knew it was only one step away. Desperate for a means, having lost all hope that he would ever be able to stop crime before it claims another innocent life. At his lowest point having subcommand to a grieving; Edward runs into Kron; a supernatural being that opens his eyes to a whole new realm of justice.

How do you stop crime for good? Simple, you manipulate time and prevent it from happening in the first place. Would that not be the perfect world – eliminate the criminal before they could ever hurt any one, no bad guys no victims. This seems perfect. But Edward began to wonder, you see this person hurt someone so you go back in time and put an end to him/her. But what if you could go back and lead them down a different path, he found he had so many what if ? ? ? Isit really right to punish a person for something they have not done? The longer he is involved with Kron the more the more he realizes how misguided he may have been to choose this as the way to save the world. And then he discovered that this is only the beginning! Kron has promised him a reunion with his daughter another chance to see her, to see her one last time! Will Edward follow Kron no matter what, for that one last chance to see AnnaBelle – will he play the game or will he and his co-horts force a stand-off with Kron?

This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention.. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author. Joshua Brown is absolutely astounding ability to flesh out his protagonists, enticing and interactive concepts with engaging plot follow-through, and delightful arrays of inclusive side characters and visionary worldbuilding. Brown is a talented and gifted author I cannot wait to see the wondering twisted plot he takes me down in his next book. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel.
