wearmouth spins an exciting tale of a man done wrong. Hts command of English and sparse style keeps the action moving while the plot twists and turns. I loved his crew, as a mix of unusual aliens!
I found this one by accident so glad I did it's a real page-turner, lots of action plenty of violence with more than a little humor, think James Bond in space with the bad guys being aliens. Wrongfully imprisoned in a high-tech facility on the moon our hero is released on the provision that he finds out why the military probes and ships are disappearing when they approach an inconsequential planet. All is not as it seems there's a traitor in the top brass, a ghost warship is being blamed and he's been set up to fail, plots within plots great characters, and world-building, I couldn't put this one down highly recommend one to enjoy, Baz.
This is a solid 3.5 stars, but 4 stars for the sheer fun of the book. The story is a bit over-the-top, but the tongue in cheek wasn't overpowering. I liked the main character and his sidekicks, and I was glad that he was successful in his mission. I would recommend this book for anybody that was a fun, fast, action story.
Too campy and formulaic, just a long short story with smartass for a hero, with to good to be true luck. The "cutting edge prototype" over 30 years old, and the most incredible luck of the hero. Just way to expected.
This is a very enjoyable book to read. Lots of humor and great action. I liked the collection of characters. It reminded me of the crew from Guardians of the Galaxy.
