The Men #3

Drawn to Mr. King

Rate this book
Jaxon King is a work of art—beautiful, unique… priceless.
I meet him when he admires my artwork at a hotel opening.
He’s older, sophisticated… a gentleman.
At least he is with his clothes on.
Out of them… well, that’s a masterpiece in itself.
But even a connection as strong as ours means nothing once the champagne wears off.
A promise to call me.
Then… nothing.
When he turns up as my new boss on the biggest project of my career, I try my hardest to turn the page and leave him in the past.
Only, he isn’t a memory I can simply erase.
No matter how hard I try.
We have this pull to one another… two colours that merge and create something heavenly.
But he screws up the paper and leaves me crumpled… torn.
Maybe it’s all an illusion and I should erase him from my heart once and for all?
If only we could draw our own path through life.
Start over.
But it’s never as simple as erasing the past, not when you’re drawn to Mr. King.

Don't read the epilogue

I really enjoyed the book until the epilogue. Neveah. I rolled my eyes so hard it hurt. If it had been any other name I would have rated it higher. I know that's dumb, but I can't help it.

One encounter of “passion” between 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬 (h) and a mysterious guy she meets at an exhibit leads to a unforgettable night that is a constant loop in her mind. 𝐉𝐚𝐱𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 (H) has never forgotten about that one-night stand, but he never called her back because he didn’t want to give her false hope for a future he might not have. When he hires the publishing company she works for, it becomes impossible to avoid her and the attraction he has for her becomes difficult to hide.

I don’t mind unexpected pregnancy but Jaxon King was just terrible and could never make up his mind. For someone who was 44, he acted like an indecisive teenage boy and had zero common sense. He was unlikeable and so was the FMC, so they were a perfect match. I expected to like this because it started off decent, but then two hours later they were hooking up with no context to what changed. She was talking about how he wasn’t like other men out for sex…and then they were in his room. It doesn’t add up that they couldn’t forget that ONE encounter and were still thinking about each other, yet he never called back. Realistically, they should have forgotten about each other and called it a day. Nope, they both thought it was something bigger and had great chemistry… it was just cringey insta-lust. Megan gave me a headache because she should have dumped him and never looked back. There was no reason for her to forgive him after he walked out various times and would proceed to tell her it would be different that time around. He was an asshole who said he didn’t want to be a part of his child’s life. While the cancer plot made some sense, his reasoning was still shitty because he didn’t even want to give fatherhood a chance. I am glad he decided to go to therapy after she forgave him for the hundredth time and decided to be a family, but seriously it took everyone’s judgment for him to get it together. I expected better from a grown man who had dropped everything the FIRST TIME when his ex-wife unexpectedly got pregnant at eighteen. These two had no basis for a relationship and frankly they shouldn’t have been together. They had nothing going on besides hookups and an “irresistible” connection that made no sense.

. *. ⋆O͢V͢E͢R͢A͢L͢L͢

I wonder if an unexpected pregnancy book will ever be good, this one just didn’t work. I think it's because we only saw the glimpse of them in the hotel that one night and suddenly they were in love… be serious.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Second chance
Angst: 😰😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: cancer

What an emotional ride! Drawn to Mr. King is the third book by Elle Nicoll and the third in her The Men series. It is told in first person with dual perspective. Drawn to Mr. King is the story of Meghan who is an artist who has an explosive one night stand with Jaxon King who makes it sound like he wants more from her than that one night. She gives him her number and he promises to call... and then nothing. At all. Doing her best to forget, Meghan is ill prepared when she sees Jaxon a month later at work. He seems very interested and contrite, but he's playing hot and cold and she's not sure what is going on and whether she can continue to forgive him for making her feel like he's playing with her feelings.

Good Lordy, the heartstrings with this one! I swear, Elle's books just keep getting better and better. You'd never know she was a newer author on her 3rd book. It is beautiful written and be warned the trials these characters go through are going to put you through the emotional wringer. And Elle writes the characters so beautifully, you can't help but get invested. The chemistry between Jaxon and Meghan is smoking hot and, as always, Elle's smexy times are written to set your kindle on fire, lol. I really can't say enough about this book.. the whole series has been fantastic and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next

Eeeeeeehhhhhhhhh

That’s pretty much it. The book was ehhhhhh.

The relationship felt forced, the smut wasn’t great, the side characters were awkward.

All around just a 2.5-3 star book.

Pov: male & female

Main characters: Jaxon & Megan

Minor characters:

My thoughts:

This was an ok story. I liked the concept, but not the execution. I liked that he wanted to keep away and they were thrown together, but he’s the reason they were thrown together. Even when they broke up. I liked the break up. I like that she didn’t take him back right away. But she caved really quickly and it seems he didn’t have to do much.

It was an ok story.

Synopsis:

Megan is a 30 year old graphic designer. She had her artwork featured in a brand new hotel. She goes to the grand opening party and meets Jaxon.

They hit it off and end up in a hotel room. They sleep together and it’s life changing. He drops her off the next day and promises to call. He never does.

Jaxon is a 44 year old book publisher. His dad died of cancer when he was 12 and it devastated him.

When he was 18 he got a girl pregnant. They weren’t in love but decided to stay together to raise the baby. They had Christopher. They ended up getting married and stayed married until Christopher grew up. Jaxon was determined to give Christopher 2 parents, which he didn’t have growing up.

Once Christopher was 22 he and his wife divorced on good terms.

One night he goes to the hotel grand opening party and meets Megan. He’s instantly drawn to her.

They hit it off and end up in a hotel room. They have sex and it’s life changing. The next day he finds a lump in his testicles.

He goes to the doctor and has tests done. He knows it’s cancer.

A month later he can’t get over Megan. He wants to see her so he arranges to have her design company create the covers for a new book he’s publishing.

She’s shocked to see him. She never forgot him, but thinks he was only interested in sex.

They keep bumping into each other at work, because he keeps showing up to see her. She has been getting sick lately and he brings her tea to settle her stomach.

There’s a ton of tension between them. He almost kisses her several times and gets angry with himself. She thinks he’s angry with her and doesn’t understand him.

One night everyone goes out for drinks. They talk and end up kissing. He tells her he isn’t good for her but can’t control himself. They end up back at her place and have sex.

He decides he wants to be with her and see where things go. They spend a week together. It’s amazing. He takes her out to a nice dinner. They talk about their lives.

At the end of the week he gets his results from the doctors office and finds out he has cancer. That they caught it early and will remove one testicle. He knows it could come back and if it did he doesn’t want Megan to have to deal with it.

She keeps getting sick and finds out she’s pregnant. She’s shocked.

He had been dodging her calls for 2 days saying he was sick. She goes to see him to tell him she’s pregnant but he’s distant. She knows somethings wrong but he won’t tell her.

He tells her he’s wrong for her and she knows he’s going to break up with her. She gets mad and they argue. They end up having angry sex, but he still won’t tell her what’s wrong. She ends up walking out on him without telling him she’s pregnant.

A week later he shows up at her work for the final book meeting. He’s glad to see her, but he knows this is the last time. He tries to talk to her after but she’s distant.

One of her coworkers proposes to her friend in front of everyone. Her friend is shocked. The guy explains he knows she’s pregnant and they can be a family. She tells him she isn’t pregnant.

Jaxon realizes it’s Megan. He pulls her aside and she tells him she’s pregnant. He’s thrilled but he knows they can’t be together. That if something happened to him it could hurt her and the baby, like his dad leaving did to him. He tells her he can’t. That he’s too old to have a baby. That he’ll support her financially but can’t be part of her life. She’s hurt and he walks out on her.

A week later he goes to the hospital to have surgery to remove the cancer. He bumps into Megan in the lobby and she thinks he came for her first ultrasound.

She has the ultrasound and they hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. He’s in awe of her but knows he can’t be with her. That it’s better for her in the long run. She’s hurt he showed up for the ultrasound when he doesn’t want to be part of her life.

He has the surgery and it’s successful. He’s still pessimistic, even though his doctor tells him it all went well and he’s technically cancer free.

He talks to his friend Martin, who’s just beaten cancer. He explains he can’t be with her even though he wants to. That he knows what losing his dad did to his mom and he won’t do that to her or the baby.

Martin explains how he understands but it’s ridiculous. That Martin wants to propose to his girlfriend even though she wants kids and he doesn’t know if he can have hem. That he knows the cancer could return, but he would rather spend whatever time he has left with his girlfriend. That he knows someone else could give her everything, but he wants to try. Jaxon realizes Martin is right.

Jaxon tries to apologize to Megan but she doesn’t want to talk to him. He tells her he wants to be with her and be a family. That he had cancer and that’s why he pulled away.

She thanks him for being honest but still tells him no. She tells him she can’t trust him to not change his mind and leave her and the baby.

He tells her he loves her and understands. That he’ll give her time and space to think things over. That he’ll wait for her.

A few weeks later he’s sold his penthouse apartment and renovated a house. He invites her over to see it.

He shows her the nursery and her drawing room. She’s touched and tells him she loves him too and wants to be with him. They reconcile.

A few months later he proposes, she says yes. A few months later they have a little girl. They’re both extremely happy.

the thing is, the guy gave sooooooo many mixed signals and the FMC kept saying, “oh i’m gonna be strong and resist him” and then would do the opposite. i get it cause she’s pregnant and hormones or whatever. but that doesn’t mean i have to like it.

ALSO the epilogue?!?!?!??!?

this book was published in 2021.

i thought this would help distract me from a killer headache

OF COURSE HE'S GOT A BRITISH ACCENT AND IT'S THE START OF THE BOOK (10/10)
(and theres a spicy start and of course he's he head of publishing, not a surprise there)
OH MY GOSH THE FEMALE IS A REDHEAD YAYAYYYYY
WHY IS THERE ALWAYS SOMEONE WITH CANCER - AND TWO OF THEM
lemme guess, she gets pregnant (ok so im right a billion chapters later lol)

so chapter 19 was a mind fuck - still no one knows about the cancer
chapter 21 onwards just went so downhill ugh
LOL THE SPERM DONOR LINE I CANT HAHA

“You said you’re in heaven,” I murmur.Jaxon kisses my head. “I am. You two are my heaven.”“How about Nevaeh? It’s Heaven backwards.”

notes:
- I hold my breath, waiting. For what, I’m not sure. But being near him has my skin buzzing witenergy like something incredible is about to happen. Like that moment you reach the peak on rollercoaster and level out, your stomach lifting in anticipation in that split second before you fladrenaline flooding your veins. Alive.
- I just know I won’t be the same after tonight
- The pen I’ve picked up and been tapping on the desk gets the brunt of my frustration as I hurl across the room. It hits the perfect white wall and sprays a jet of black ink across it. Branding iScarring it. The way my head feels right now. Branded with the memory of her.
- You almost throw up on The Fox’s designer Italian shoes, and he sends you hihomemade ginger ale?
- I’ve never been one for one-night stands. This awkwardness I feel now, under his gaze, knowinhow I let go in front of him, how I bared more than just my naked flesh to him—I don’t know what was thinking that night
- One hundred and thirty-eight steps. That’s the number of steps it takes from my car. That’s how many steps it takes to transport me bacto being a scared, twelve-year-old boy who lost his father
- I don’t even know how it happened that night; it’s like someone else took over my body. I can couall the men I’ve had sex with on one hand. All were people I was in relationships with, or at leadating exclusively.
- lay on my side facing the floor to ceiling windows that make up one wall. I’ve left the blinds opetonight. Sometimes I like watching the city lights as I go to sleep. I don’t know why. Maybe it’ because it reminds me that life is going on out there beyond these four walls.Life always goes on, even when I feel like mine has stalled
- “It’s in the past. Let’s forget about it. We work together now. There’s no need for it to beawkward.”“No, of course not,” he says in that deep, sexy voice. His gaze drops to my lips. Not awkward at all
- “I think you know when you meet someone that you connect with. Your heart races, you tingle alover. You have a mix of both excitement and dread at the thought of seeing them.”
- I’m blessed. I have Christopher. I have a company I love. I have my health. I had my health
- The silence hangs heavily in the air until it’s stifling… suffocating

THISSSS
I remember all too well the way their gaze held mine with such intensity as he pushed inside m body that night. The delicious fullness as I stretched around him and held him deep. I had cried out i pleasure when he was fully inside, and he had looked at me in such wonder.I felt adored that night, my body worshipped by him.It wasn’t one night for me. It was never just one night.Maybe that’s why his silence afterwards cuts that bit deeper.

funny:
- “I work in publishinand see a lot of talented artists. Something about yours stands out. It’s rich and full of passion. It tellme you’re a passionate woman.”I swallow the champagne too fast and cough.Jaxon chuckles, the lines around his eyes creasing. “I’m sorry. That sounded like a rather terriblchat-up line.”“I liked it,” I blurt, the words tumbling out before I can stop them. This is why I rarely drink; I make a fool of myself.
- He must be about forty. Maybe that’s the age men finally grow up and don’t make ever comment about sex.
- She lifts one butt cheek up from its position on my desk so can extract the paper from underneath her.
- Phil looks pleased with himself, a grin spreading from ear to ear as the overhead light shines on hi bald head, illuminating it like a bulb. I wonder if he applies lotion to it to make it shine like that
- Also, the man who never called.Ever. He is still sex on legs, though. Pig
- I pick at the bagel I bought for lunch. It’s wholemeal and seeded. Part of my new year health kick.“Are you going to eat that?” Lydia’s gaze drops to my plate.
- He would rather I sit on the cheap office chairs that offer no back support than dthe same work from my sofa at home. Idiot
- “Megan, he wants to fuck you again,” Lydia says matter-of-factly. Fuck with my head more like
- “When she asked me if Jane Austen was a brand of shampoo, I realised we had little in common,” say.His eyebrows shoot up as he grins at me. “Seriously? Even I know who she is! Abigail loves thwhole Mr Darcy thing. “That’s because Abigail is an intelligent, well-read woman. What she sees in you, I’ll neveunderstand.”The cushion flies back over and hits my chest.
- “Would you like another drink?” Jaxon looks at the untouched champagne in my hand. “I saw yowrinkle your nose up in that way you do when you don’t like something.”“I don’t do that.”“You’re doing it now.”My fingers fly up to my nose, and I roll my eyes. “Fair point.
- “So, tell me all about what you’ve been up to,” Mum says as I run my palm over Cupid’s silky fur.“Oh, you know, the usual.” Getting pregnant. (lol i love internal dialogue)
- Why couldn’t he look like a sack of shit? The way I feel right now?

tension:
- I brush a curl away from my eyes as I take in the sight of him beneath me. He looks so relaxed, serene smile spreading across his face as he gazes up at me. His hands caress the skin over mhipbones as he lets out another deep, satisfied groan
- “I don’t remember agreeing to stay all night.” I smile, biting my lip as he narrows his eyes at me.He reaches out to hold my chin in his strong fingers, pulling my lip free of my teeth at the samtime.“Just you try leaving, Megan,” his deep voice whispers.
- The scent of his aftershave reaches out and draws me in, and without thinking, I lean closer to inhale. It’the same one he wore that night—leather and musk, mixed with something woody, cedar perhaps
- I suck in a small breath and open my mouth to speak, but before I can register what’s happeninhe’s taken hold of my chin.My breath catches in my throat as his strong fingers tilt my head back. I’m frozen to the spot, mheartbeat pounding in my ears as my mouth grows dry
- “If you’re looking for Phil, he’s out,” she says, crossing her arms.I glance down. From this angle, I can see right down the front of her blue shirt to the cream lace br she’s wearing. Her full breasts rise as she takes a breath. God, give me strength.
- she trails off, her teeth pulling her bottom lip into her mouth. I stare at their sweet pink softness, and more than anything, I want to reach forward and kiss theGrab her chin and angle her face so that I can slide my tongue into her mouth and taste her
- fox wants to fuck you until you can’t remember your owname
- This would be so much easier if he weren’t so close—if he wasn’t looking at me.I glance back at him. He is definitely watching me.
- “Have dinner with me Monday night?” I ask, catching Megan’s hand in mine as she’s about tdisappear through her front door. She turns back to me and gives me a smile that lights up her entire face. We’ve been playing this game for fifteen minutes. Each time she’s about to head inside, I touch her or kiss her again.I can’t help myself.
- “You should be proud of yourself,” I say suddenly, directing my comment to Megan as though none else is with us in the room. She looks at me, a faint flash of pain in her eyes as she reaches up and tucks a stray curl behind heear.“I’m proud of you,” I continue without thinking.Eyes around the table dart between the two of us as we stare at each other

smut:
- His warm, skilled mouth moves to my neck, and I draw in a breath and thread my fingers throughis hair.
- “You don’t understand, I can’t forget about it,” he hisses, reaching out to grab my chin and forcinmy face up, so my eyes meet his. “It’s all I can fucking think about.”
- He says it should never have happened, yet it’s all he can think about. Which is it?
- Just looking at it evokes too many memories.Memories of the way she looked at me that night. The way she said my name. The sounds she madwhen she came, the taste of her sweet skin on my tongue.God, I’m an idiot.
- I don’t stop him.Even when he leans in and brushes his warm lips against mine, I just stand, dazed, my pulsthrobbing between my legs and my breath caught in my throat.I don’t do anything.Until he says my name
- “Have you ever thought about that night we spent together?” he asks, his warm breath fallinagainst my lips. Yes. “Maybe.” I bite my lip to hide my smile. “It’s so long ago, I think I’m forgetting.” I could never forget. He pulls me in closer, and his eyes screw shut as he murmurs to himself, “I’m going to hell.” When he opens them again, his lids are hooded as he gazes at me.“Do you need reminding, Megan?”
- It’s clear who’s in control of my body right now, and it’s not me
- “God, I love touching you. I’d have to be a fucking saint to resist… to stop.”“Then don’t.”
- Strong, virile, testosterone-filled, and half-naked in front of me.His dark eyes are fixed on my lips like he’s about to devour me
- axon’s lips caress my shoulder as he slips the straps down, one by one. The grey fabric pools around my feet, and I’m left standing in just my heels, black lace bra, and thong. I hear him growdeep in his throat as his lips continue their exploration of my shoulder.
- He watches me as I buck underneath meeting each thrust of his body with my hips
- I lose myself with her… forget who I am…
- “I wish I could kiss you goodbye.”
- “Can’t or won’t?” His eyes dart between mine, his grip tight on my wrist.I keep glaring at him as I roll the word off my tongue, “both.”His eyes darken, and his other hand grabs the back of my neck, pulling me to him.“Megan, you don’t know what you’re doing,” he growls before his lips crash onto mine, and plunges his tongue inside my mouth
- This isn’t just a fling. It’s never been a fling.
- He’s hiding behind rough sex, and I’m not just letting him; I’m encouraging it. I’m getting off on it
- I don’t even recognise him... but my body does.
- I moan as my muscles draw in tighter, the pressure building and building. My mouth drops opeand my moans turn into gasps. Jaxon never takes his eyes off mine as he fucks me from behind, hifingers grasping my hips so he can position me where he wants me.
- My muscles squeeze him tight, sucking him in, and then he growls out my name, almost shouting ias heat explodes deep inside me.I stare back at him
- It’s not clear if he’s thanking me or a higher power, but as his lips crash down onto mine, I knowho he’s thinking of now.Me. Us .He kisses me like his life depends on it, and I open to him, allowing him to fill the gaps, heal th broken pieces that being apart have caused.I kiss him like he’s my past, my present, my future, and everything that comes with it.Whatever that may look like.Whatever that brings
- “I’ve missed this,” I moan as Jaxon kisses and nips at my neck.“I’ve missed everything about you, Megan,” he breathes as his hands drop to my breasts, and htraces my nipples with his fingers.
- Megan, I will spend every day of my life making up for what I put you through
- Come for me, Megan. Show me the sight I intend on seeing every day from now on.”I stare up at him as my toes tingle and my whole body begins to shake

recensione a cura del blog "libri magnetici" by Meghan

Megan is the protagonist of this story, that I had the pleasure of reading in preview in language for you Magnetic readers: a woman, who has chosen to leave a secure job as a flight attendant to realize her dream as an artist, a thirty-year-old who lives her being single with great serenity. And right in front of one of her works she meets Jaxon King, a man much older than her, charming, confident, and interested in art as much as she is: a successful publisher, Jaxon has a life already closed behind him, with an ex-wife with whom he has civil relations and a twenty-six-year-old son whom he adores. Megan does not expect him to throw the classic bin at her, after the night together, after he tells her that he wants to see her again: oh no, he is too serious, controlled, to do something like that. And here, you readers would say, we have read a story like this many times: a big mistake, because after a few pages the story takes a turn that we do not expect. Both are attracted to each other but not so much sexually as in the connection that has been created between them, that sort of invisible thread that constantly pushes them to see each other, talk to each other, spend time together.

«Alive. That's how I feel. The way he looks at me, the way the cells in my body fizz in response - I can't keep away even if I wanted to.»

This is the most beautiful part of this book: the connection of the two protagonists, the attention that Jaxon reserves for Megan and the tenacity of her in looking for him, in discovering what he hides from her. The apparent selfishness of him is only to protect her from what life can reserve for us unpredictably: when Jaxon let go of all his fears, sharing with her also the disease, for both of us there will be a turning point.

«I'm right here with her. All the reason I thought I had for needing to keep away from her don't matter right now. Nothing else matters, except this feeling, this moment, watching her she smiles up at me.»

Megan's relationship with her friends is beautiful, a support, a real support for her, those friends who know when to bring you "ice cream and alcohol" without judging you, as well as
the friendship between Jaxon and Martin, so different but complementary: the description and inclusion of these characters reveal an author also able to give the right emphasis to the choral characters, not disappointing the reader. A story that also has small unexpected turns and that keeps us captivated to reading. The book is the third volume of a series, but with unrelated protagonists, so I will also tell you about the first two.

Quattro petali e mezzo

I'm totally speechless...... This is the 3rd book by Elle Nicoll and 3rd in The Men Series first we had Meeting Mr Anderson which was good and then came Discovering Mr X which was so good (I read these too the wrong way round but it didnt really matter ) and then came Drawn to Mr King this one is just so much more I didn't think they could get any better but it is OMG its brilliant this book is so full of emotion, its heart breaking but also so beautiful, I know what its like to lose a parent to soon to cancer ...... I just cannot put into words how good this book is and how it made me feel, so beautifully written, Jaxen and Megan's story is definitely my favourite so far.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Having read Meeting Mr. Anderson and Discovering Mr. X and now Drawn to Mr. King, I can officially say Drawn to Mr. King is my favourite in Elle Nicoll’s The Men Series.

There’s heat.
There’s drama.
There’s spice.
There’s so much emotion.
There’s intensity.
There’s age gap.
There’s doubt.
There’s love.
There’s the unexpected.
There’s side characters you will laugh at and love too.
There’s just so much of, well, everything. It’s complete perfection.
Oh, and did I mention there’s bedroom scenes from the get-go!

I couldn’t put it down, and I wasn’t prepared for what unfolded between these two gorgeous souls at all but I adored every single hot minute of Megan and Jaxon’s love story.

Rooting for them throughout the entire book I couldn’t get enough of them.

If you’re looking for a truly beautiful love story that wraps itself around your heart then this is the one for you.

I received an ARC copy in return for an honest review.

This series has been amazing! I love that each book has had such a hot, alpha, billionaire hero. This one gave us the enigmatic, nerdy hero that quickly captivates not only Megan but the reader as well. Megan, well she’s this quietly strong beauty that sneaks up on you. She appears to be a wallflower but has a depth to her that catches even Mr. King off guard. Then there’s insane chemistry and off the charts seggsy times!! I can’t wait for the next book!!

Swoony, Hot yet Emotional ride ahead 🥰

Oh my.. This series is definitely freaking amazing. This one was of Megan, Rachel's roommate and Jaxon king, the sexy silver fox as he is aptly nicknamed.

After a night of passion with the sexy Mr. King, Megan still remembers the sexy times but is angry that Jaxon never called her back.

Now when her company is contracted by a huge publishing house to design the cover of the new children's series, she's is surprised when she discovers that the owner of the the publishing company is none other than the man who she had her one night stand with.

When Jax sees the woman he's been unable to forget, he doesn't know what to do but he thinks it's best to maintain distance as Jaxon has his secret which he is not ready to share with anyone.

But no matter how much ever he tries and Megan accepts their distance due to professional work and all yet they both are unable to keep their hands off each other.

AHH.. I loved how Jax wanted Megan and couldn't resist wanting her but kept trying and I loved how Jax is as a person and his times with Megan.

I never expected this one to take me on a whirlwind emotional ride along with the sweet and hot times. But I loved every second of it. Getting lost in their world and seeing them finding their way to each other.

Also I loved loved Megan's friend, Lydia. She's just so funny and a great friend. Also her unusual interactions and relationship with Tim her Co worker. I'd love to read Lydia and Tim having their own book.

Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Drawn To Mr.King is all about publisher Jaxon who runs into beautiful artist Megan. They share a passionate night together before going separate ways with Jax promising to call. He doesn't call but their paths cross a month later when his firm is her new client. They must navigate around their growing feelings, their new professional relationship and secrets both are keeping from the other. I enjoyed this book. Jax is really the key to a lot of the angst here as he has unresolved trauma of sorts clouding his decision making. However he is sweet and caring of Megan despite their age difference. Megan has a big heart of her own to match and despite being let down has so much patience yet balances it with a backbone that refuses to be walked over. Together these two make a lovely book couple!

Elle has done it again with this emotion packed, relatable story.

We hear from Megan and Jaxson’s perspective throughout the book. The characters and their friends and family are spectacular, I love Lydia, she is one of Megan’s best friends and her quick Witt is 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤 🤌🏻.

We met Megan in Elle’s previous book 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙧 𝙓 and we heard a bit about her and Mr King at the end of that book. This book starts right where we left off, with Megan meeting Mr King at the hotel opening.

The story is written so well that you could imagine it being a true story. I think when an author can make you detach yourself from the world and slip into the story, feeling each emotion the character feels, means they have written a brilliant book with a great plot.

Well done Elle, I adored 𝑫𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑴𝒓 𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒈 and look forward to reading what you have out next!

Elle does not disappoint, the brooding silver fox with a secret !
I love how the chapters ping pong between the 2 characters
Also that the group of friends are still there, gently weaving in and out of the story.
Can’t wait for the next sexy saga.
