I have. The girl who has owned my heart since she sat across from me at the lunch table and pinned me with those ocean blue eyes, friend-zoned me.
After ten years of waiting and wanting, I finally get my chance to show her I’m not only her best friend but a man worth her time. I’m not letting this opportunity slip between my fingers.
I’m going to show her what she needs has been right in front of her all along.
When the bartender calls closing time, there is no turning back. She’s mine.
I'm a self proclaimed book addict. It's sad but true. I want ALL THE WORDS! My love of words led me to blogging and blogging led me to this new and most awesome adventure as an author. What a ride this will be!
I'm a southern girl and mom to two amazing little dudes with a strong addiction to Godzilla and I’m wife to a wonderful man whose undying support has made this writing journey possible. Over the years I have amassed a collection of Godzilla toys, dinosaurs, LEGO pieces and blocks in all shapes and colors. Not fun to step on in the middle of the night. Romance novels have been my thing since my aunt put a Harlequin in my hand when I was ten. From all things old school to romance that has made me swoon, this has been on crazy adventure.
This was a good short quickie read. It had all the elements I need for a quickie. A best friend in the friend zone, a little steam and a HEA. I really enjoyed this one.
Title: Closing Time Author: C.G. Barrette Format: Audio Narrator James Cheetum Genre: Romance, friends to lovers, curvy girl Standalone: Yes Part of a Series: A Riggs at Cross Street story POV: Jules, Cole Steam Level: slow burn to steamy 4/5
I listened to this audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast. I enjoy the friends to lovers trope and Closing Time is just that. After Jules gets dumped before her blind date doesn't even start, she realizes that she locked her keys in her car. Luckily her best friend and owner of her heart is there. This novella takes place over one night and feels link it could be a prequel but can also stand alone. However, it's been a few days since I've listened to this book and have already forgotten it. I think the novella format didn't give this couple their justice. I wanted more, both before and after the story.
I listened to this on the Read Me Romance podcast and I loved it! I think I need to start following CG Burnette and read more! Cole and Jules have been friends forever and secretly in love with each other but neither thought the other felt the same way. In this book, they figure their stuff out and get together in the best way and I love it!
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
I listened to Closing Time on the Read Me Romance Podcast. Closing time did exactly what I needed to do and got me out of my head. Friends to lovers trope with a long history between the two. Can they finally see what all their friends already know?
