Lila Jameson’s life had been nothing but hard work. Breaking the cycle of working endless jobs, she achieved her goal of owning a bakery with her best friend. That was, until her dreams went up in flames.
Literally.
While her beloved bakery was restored after a massive fire, her apartment above was not. She’s left with no money, no car, no place to live. With nowhere to go, she’s forced to accept help from the one person that could both save her, and ruin her.
Travis Langston spent his life working towards being an officer on the Logan Creek Police Department. The chance of promotion is within his grasp, with the stipulation that he prove he’s dedicated to staying in Logan Creek.
With a murder that rocked the town, and a fake relationship with the only woman he’s ever truly wanted, Travis is at a crossroads about what he really wants out of life. Can he get the promotion and keep the woman he’s falling for?
Canadian Fall is my first book ever by the lovely Kimberly Ann and I have to say that it won't be the last. After a couple of dark romances in a row, I ended up reading my arc of Canadian Fall just because I wanted something fluffy to soothe my heart after so much heartbreak. And God, did I love it!
The book tells Travis and Lila's story. Said story goes back five years, when they first met during a camping trip. They bonded instantly, but uninterested in pursuing a long distance relationship, Lila moves on with her life in the city, but they never forgot each other.
After going back to Logan Creek and opening her own bakery, Lila and Travis' are bound to find each other again, even though the stuborn Lila refuses to let herself fall for the charming Police Officer. Now, with Lila on the verge of not having where to live and Travis needing to show that he's commited to his city in order to snatch a much desired promotion, they decide pretend that they're together... Well, Lila is pretending they're together while Travis is all in.
I have to say that Travis is the most thoughtful, caring and lovely man I've ever read. He's constantly trying to prove Lila that everything he's showing to her is real, not something fabricated to make the city board happy. At some points of the book, I really wished I could hit Lila in the face because of how fricking stubborn she was being when Travis was just trying to help. She definitely drove me mad sometimes, but these flaws are what make the character seem real to me and I loved to hate her sometimes.
Overall, the story sucked me in. Both characters are relatable, their relationship is cute and their friends are awesome... I can't wait to see more about them! Travis is a dream and Lila is perfect just the way she is and the environment surrounding the narration is just adorable. Perfect for a cozy reading!

Lila and Travis shared one incredible weekend five years ago and then went their separate ways. Now Travis wants a second chance and a real chance with Lila. Lila has a hundred and one reasons why it won’t work but Travis is willing to try as many times as it takes to show Lila he’s serious about her.
Travis and Lila! Lila and Travis!
After reading Canadian Summer, I was SO excited for Travis and Lila's story and it did not even remotely disappoint.
I love a feisty heroine and Lila is F E I S T Y to the max (hellcat!) Travis is also so sweet and doting and so clearly madly in love with Lila. I loved the second chance/redemption themes here as well as the one night stand turned soulmates concept. I loved watching Travis pursue Lila, he was really, really sweet and adorable with her hesitancies. I also really love fake dating so that was definitely a nice touch!! AND AND AND THEY ARE SO STEAMY!! Lila and Travis are SPICY (and not just pumpkin spicy).
The fall themes were heavy which amazing because I am a proud pumpkin spice season aficionado and just generally a proud basic white girl who loves autumn, sue me! (Lila's baking descriptions focused mostly on autumn flavours was so satisfying, I love.)
The murder mystery aspect of the story made this really fun and different from a lot of contemporary romances that you read.
AND FINALLY, the LAST LINE!!! I was dying, I loved that so much, what a beautiful little ending to one of the main things Travis talks about throughout the book, no spoilers though! You'll have to read for yourself!
Thank you to Kimberly Ann and Amy Dodson PA for an e-ARC!
Canadian fall is the second book from the Logan Creek series, and I could still enjoy this one without having to read the first book.
I really like the story and the world building is great. I like it when the story was set in a small town where everybody knows everyone in town. The mystery aspect is a nice touch to the story, even though I wish it could have been explored more.
Lila is stubborn and fearless, she wanted to become her own person without being dependent to someone else which is probably why she has issues in trusting others. The opposite of Lila is Travis, the police officer whose been flirting with her every chance he got. Despite all that flirting, he really cares about Lila and patiently wait for Lila to open her heart for him. Out of all the nicknames he had for her, the last one is my favorite! I have to admit the fake dating between Lila and Travis was fun to read although, the pace was a bit too fast for me with how Lila and Travis moving forward in their relationship.
Overall, this is a good fall romance and also a quick one since I finish this in one sitting. I love the small town setting of the story and I have a good time reading this one. I saw at the end of the book there will be Canadian Winter which will be coming out next year! I wonder whose story it would be, I'm guessing it's Zach and Mandy! I'm looking forward to read the next book in this series :)

***Book kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. ***
I am so over the moon to be writing this ARC review for Kimberly Ann’s, “Canadian Fall.”
I fell in love with Kade (Cadence) and Brody in “Canadian Summer,” and was itching to know more. When the opportunity presented itself to be a part of the ARC team, I made greedy little goblin hands until it fell into my e-mail.
In this installment, we follow Kade’s best friend, Lila, and her once-upon-a-time-lover Travis. They met at the same camping trip that bound Kade and Brody together. Though, their relationship didn’t see the same impassioned beginning. Travis was convinced they could make their long-distance affection last, while Lila was otherwise unconvinced. They’re now in the same town, grown-up, with enough history under their belts to make reuniting entirely too complicated. After the fire at the bakery, Lila is hard up. Travis feels like he has the answers to her problems – chiefly, a place to live that isn’t a motel. All he needs in exchange is for her to pretend to be his girlfriend. A role that is far more loaded than either can even begin to realize. The quiet town is rocked by a heinous crime, adding complex layers to an already tricky situation. The question begging to be asked is whether their fake relationship will turn real and if Travis can get both his longed-after promotion. And the girl.
I have a lot of love for this series. I love the characters, I love their personalities, I love the growth. Even without all of the external conflict with the murder and displacement Lila feels, I would adore this story. The rest is just added tension on top! I loved how Kimberly Ann incorporated more suspense into this book than in its predecessor.
I went into this hoping that it would live up to the expectations “Canadian Summer” had left me with, and it certainly did! I definitely recommend checking out both. As soon as you’re able. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
Now it’s time for me to start making little Gremlin-Grabby-Hands for the third book!
A small town, second chance, fake relationship between Lila, a baker, and Travis, a cop.
Lila has been working hard since a teenager to help her parents pay the bills. She put everything she had into a bakery in Logan Creek, which burned in a fire. They were able to rebuild but new zoning laws prevented them from rebuilding the apartment above the bakery leaving Lila living in a hotel until her insurance money runs out.
Travis had always dreamed of becoming a Logan Creek police officer. He’s finally made it happen and is up for a promotion, the only problem is that board doesn’t think he’s devoted to the town and will leave for a bigger city. To prove he’s dedicated he convinces Lila to fake a relationship & move into a house with him.
This was such a great book! Travis and Lila have great chemistry and banter. He was devoted to her and wants to take care of her. Lila however is head strong and fiercely independent and is determine that she can take care of herself. I was on edge with anticipation a lot of this book until it was revealed why she was so hesitant to be in a relationship and wanted no one taking care of her. The secondary characters and stories were all down well too and there was even a little mystery and danger related to Travis’s job.
Fall in love with your new ‘fake’ boyfriend. When I first read Canadian Summer, Travis and Lila and their tension kept creeping in and stealing my attention. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their book and Canadian Fall did not disappoint! Canadian Fall is full of heartwarming moments, uncertainty, tension, and escalating feelings, as their relationship moves from fake to something deeply real. Or maybe it always was. Travis is a strong, swoony, and devoted hero. Lila is a headstrong, determined survivor. This was a beautiful love story to watch evolve as walls come down and these characters rekindle old feelings and spark new ones. This is a perfect cozy weekend read. Can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!
I loved book 1 of this series and book 2 was even better.
Kimberly twisted a beautifully heartbreaking and heart warming story that had the perfect amount of spiciness, personal growth, suspense and acceptance. This one kept me on my toes and swooning.
I love to the cameo appearances by former series couples and bread crumbs for stories and couples to come!
This didn’t take me long once I had time to sit and read. I liked that the characters were different. (Meaning the focus was on different characters from the first book with their own set of conflicts and drama.) I really liked Travis more than Brody though. Looking forward to book 3!
Travis and Lila! Stole My Heart! After reading Book 1 I couldn't wait to read their story and Canadian Fall was everything I had hoped for. Lila and Travis met five years ago, spent one incredible weekend together then went their seperate ways. Five years later they have a second chance. Can they? Will they take it? Or is it just not meant to be? Travis is my perfecto book boyfriend. He's humorous, sweet, sexy, caring, protective and soooo swoon-worthy. And Lila the hellcat, oh how I love me a feisty heroine. Daaammmnnnn these two and their push and pull /sexual tension before things got spicy. Lila tried hard to fight off Travis and his advances but let's be honest who could say no to this man forever? definitely not me. The added suspense twist added a little extra kick to this story which I loved.
And..... the beautiful ending. It was dust in my eye I swear, not happy / swoony tears.
Another wonderful addition to this series! I'm looking forward to Book 3
Out of all the books in the Logan Creek series, this book is ought to be my favorite, yet (hoping we get Dyllan’s story too). I was so excited to read Travis and Lila’s story when I was reading Zach and Mandy’s. Even when I was reading Brody and Kade’s romance, I kept seeking moments of Travis and Lila. I knew, in Canadian Summer’s epilogue, that the wedding ring was from Travis, but to know it was from a fake marriage, mhmm.
I love a fake dating trope, but honestly, this one didn’t feel fake, ever. The emotion was real from the very beginning. Travis’ love for Lila made me feel some kind of pain, though I don’t know what it was.
Then came Lila’s POV. Not familiar with her father’s history, her concerns felt remote, but the feeling of never belonging, not holding the power of letting go or depending on someone, felt like the closest I’d ever felt to a character.
Their love story resonated somewhere deep in my heart. Lila’s reserves and the story made me ache. Somewhere deep in me, I do not hope for a happy ending either. The feeling of never finding a home doesn’t go away. It makes a hole so deep it becomes difficult to climb out of it. This book filled up the hole a little and alleviated my spirit. I couldn’t thank the author enough for this beautiful book.
When Lila was kidnapped, I felt a part of my soul was being taken away, snatched from me. They say it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. But it didn’t feel better when Lila’s life was hanging by a thread and Travis had no clue where to find her or how to save her. I love the couple though, with all I have in me, and hope to read more about them, and of course about Dyllan and whoever he falls for (I’m hoping Rachel, the flower girl but it could just as easily be Ashley, with the banter and enemies to lovers trope) in the fourth book.
This is Travis Langston and Lila Jameson’s story. They met five years ago on a camping trip, she’s from the city and he’s from Logan Creek, a small and beautiful town. There’s a special connection between them, he wants to try a long distance relationship but she doesn’t so this weekend is all they get. Five years later she moves to Logan Creek to start a bakery with her best friend, Kade. Of course Travis remembers her and makes his mission in life to make Lila his. He’s been known to be a ladies man in the past but the moment Lila comes to Logan Creek that stops. He tries one and a million things to make her believe in him and to give him a chance, and although she really wants to she doesn’t. She’s trying to prove that she can be independent and take care of herself (after one too many things have gone wrong for her), she also is trying to protect Travis from her past… will they be able to overcome all of their obstacles to get their HEA?
First and foremost, I Love Travis Langford! He’s what book boyfriends should be! DREAMY and HOT 😍🔥 this is a second chance, fake relationship trope story and I’m here for it! Travis makes this book, seriously 😍 and did I mentioned he’s a police officer!?! That gets him extra hotness points in my book ❤️ Once Lila gets on board with things, their relationship (fake or not) is pretty amazing! Another thing I loved were all the details that go into making you feel that you’re in fall (autumn). Including Lila calling it “Pumpkin Spice Season” instead of fall 🥰 The group of friends is fantastic, too! I can’t wait to keep reading this series and I hope even the mayor gets his own book.
This is the perfect fall book! All the fall vibes with a splash of mystery, oh! And all the heat! So many spicy scenes! 🔥thank you very much! 😅
❤️ I'd do whatever it takes to make her laugh like that everyday ❤️
This is the second and my first read from #logancreek series but the good thing is one can easily read and enjoy the story without reading the previous one. You can easily read as a standalone book though you'll enjoy reading the series most.
This story involves Travis and Lila. They met five years back. Things didn't go as planned then. Working endless jobs and sleepless nights, hardwork paid off and she achieve what she dreamt off. Finally Lila is back in town, who owned a bakery with her best friend Kade. Something terrible happened and now she's left with nothing apart from the shop.
Travis met Lila again after ages. This time he is serious about her but she won’t let him in. He work as an officer in Logan Creek but have rumours so he must have to settled down first. So both Travis and Lila agreed to be in “fake relationship” only because of certain circumstances.
Lila is worried for something. And so she should have to maintain her desire to be with him. Will they really meant for each other? Or they’ll be apart? Are they destined to be with each other?
🙏🏻 Few things I'd like to highlights too 🙏🏻
💘 Fast paced. 💘 Amazing storyline. 💘 Page Turner 💘 Travis and Lila’s hilarious conversations 💘 Travis calling Lila with pet names. Those are really sweet.
Thank you to @kimberlyannbooks and @amyd_apa for providing me eARC in exchange for an honest review and for this excellent opportunity to be in this book tour.
Canadian Fall is the story of Travis and Lila 5 years after their hook up at the campground. Travis is known around town as the local playboy and Lila has not been able to commit to anyone since that incredible weekend. Sparks fly when they see each other, and you know it is going to be a hot and steamy reunion. When Lila’s bakery burns down, and Travis needs to show commitment to the local police department to get a promotion they agree to “fake date.” Their fake date quickly escalates and next thing you know they are engaged and buying a house. Lila is holding back her feelings for Travis due to a dark and mysterious event in her past. Misunderstandings on both sides threaten to end their budding relationship. Lila is very independent and does not like someone else taking care of her. Travis just wants to be the best husband and does not understand Lila’s attitude towards his care and concern. I was super excited to dive into Travis’ and Lila’s story. I was expecting a bit more sass from Lila as she was very meek and unsure of herself. Once we learn her backstory, the change in personality makes sense, and I am so glad she finally accepts her friends help. I really enjoyed the added murder byline. And yes. There is all the hot and steamy you need to keep warm this fall! I am looking forward to Canadian Winter and hoping it will be Zach and Mandy’s story.
Travis and Lila have a past, one that Travis is more than interested in picking up where they left off. But Lila lives too far in her insecurities and doubt to let the teddy bear cop in. But when she finds out about a plan to derail his promotion potential, she agrees to a fake relationship with him. For Travis, it was never fake, but Lila has a hard time believing that. Eventually, the secrets she keeps threaten to derail everything they built together. I loved their interactions. I loved how Travis was always touching her lovingly in some way, a swoon-worthy book boyfriend. There is a bit of suspense in this book that we didn't get in the first Logan Creek story that will have you continue to turn the page. Now if we could only have a bonus book full of Lila's recipes. Pick up Canadian Fall and fall in love with a wonderfully steamy sweet story.
Kimberly Ann was a new to me author and I can say that I will definitely be reading more. Travis and Lila meet and share one passion filled weekend with the understanding that that's all it would be. However, they both felt this deep connection that no one else is able to satisfy. Lila moves back into Travis' hometown, loaded with baggage that she doesn't want to dump on Travis so she pushes him away. I love Travis' persistence though! He pushes down her walls and pushes all her buttons and it is glorious to watch it unfold. A series of circumstances has them thrust together and what starts off as one thing quickly becomes something real. I loved the twists and turns that this story took. I love how strong Lila is even in the midst of something frightening. In the end Travis gets to be the hero, but in reality they both win because they have each other.
I was looking forward to Lila & Travis’s story after reading Canadian Summer. Canadian Fall by @kimberlyannbooks didn’t disappoint. From the first book I expected Lila to be a bit more feisty, at the beginning of the book she has had a hard time and it takes a while for her to show everyone just how strong she is. Travis seems like the typical playboy, but when he sees Lila again, she’s all he can think about. He wants his promotion at work, but he wants Lila too. Lila is loving, loyal and independent, Travis just wants to be the best husband he can be and to take care of his wife. They have their misunderstandings and there is an element of suspense (which I did see coming) which added to their story. This is a warm, hot, enjoyable read.
This was such an amazing and sweet romance! If you enjoy fake marriage or old flames reuniting tropes then I highly recommend this story. Travis is a mounty and just about the sweetest, most romantic book boyfriend you could ask for. Lila is an independent, hard-working baker who has a past that she isn't willing to share with Travis yet. They first met in college but Lila kept it as a brief fling. Then Lila and her BFF move to Travis' small town and open a bakery. The chemistry is undeniable and Travis needs to establish himself as stable for the board to choose him for the detective promotion. I enjoyed the extra suspense the author added and a special twist within the story. I highly recommend this book and I know you will enjoy Travis and Lila's story!!!
Oh my, what a fabulous story! Lila, a pathologically-independent skilled baker struggles with her feelings for Travis, a thoughtful ambitious cop. Travis is convinced he loves her but in the face of her secrets and stubborn Independence, their relationship is going nowhere. Ahhh, but outside events and a murder or two help make their feelings for each other very clear. Loved the story, the characters, the sweet foods... I'm ready for more books by this author! Oh, and could I get the recipes for Chocolate Explosion muffins, and the Whiskey-infused Ginger Pear pie-? Please-?? Highly recommended!
Loved the description of Logan Creek in the fall- it was everything I imagine a small town fall would be! Also, I really connected with Lila. She seems to think the same way I would in certain situations and that made the story really come alive for me. Travis is beyond sweet with just the right amount of sass and spice. Their relationship is unique and sweet and their issues felt real and alive. Loved seeing both of their POV’s- but my fav line of the book is Travis’s confused thoughts when Lila complimented his arms! overall, love it. romance isn’t my go-to genre but I really connected with these characters and the story felt so real!
I enjoyed Canadian Summer so when I had the chance to read a second book from the Logan’s Creek series I jumped on it. I love a fake relationship and Kimberly Ann rocked this one. Travis and Lila agree to start a for show relationship to help Travis get a promotion. But all too soon nothing about how they feel is pretend. Sparks between these two jump off the page. And you will love the heat! I loved watching the lines of pretend and real blur so throughly that neither could deny their feelings. My favorite book by Kimberly Ann so far. And I can’t wait for Canadian Winter!
I could not wait for this to come out!! After I finished Canadian Summer, it was painful to wait for this story. Travis and Lila... They're fire! And I absolutely love it!! The anticipation of their passion... Knowing what you want to happen but the reality of the relationship still being undetermined made it so hard to put this down. The twists and turns with in their own lives made the suspense build as well. Phew. What a rollercoaster of emotions with these two. 10/10 in my book! Can't wait for more!!
Kimberly Ann has written another great book in the Logan Creek series. Lila and Travis have the chemistry that makes a very hot and steamy romance. While she lets her pride and anxiety run wild, Travis always seems to calm her down. Lila is everything he wants in a woman, and the fact that he loves everything she bakes just makes him want and love her more. I have fallen in love with Logan Creek. The way Kimberly Ann describes the town and it's people makes me want to live there myself. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this series.
Oh wow! I wasn't expecting that! What a fantastic read. This story was a very intriguing and involved story of two people who finally come together in the most unconventional way. A sexy cop who knows what he wants, and a woman whose life has been difficult and who's too scared to love. Finally, she can't deny her feelings but just as everything seems to be coming together, a killer is on the loose and the stakes rise exponentially. Great action, romance and everything we want - sexy, steamy love scenes! A really great read!
Travis and Lilia have a past. When Lilia moves.and.starts.a.bakery.with.her best.friend.Now Travis and Lilia live in this.same small town and Travis wants more. They agree to live together when her bakery.has a fire and she can no longer have her apartment above it.Travis wants a promotion and the town's people wants someone who they know will be permanent so the two start.a.fake.relationship.Lots of hot moments, humour and.suspense.
Kimberly Ann did it again! Pulling us in with a sexy cop and a strong female! I loved Travis and Lila's story. I related so much to Lila's character, and the chemistry between her and Travis was HOT! Fake relationship is one of my favorite tropes and this book is at the top of the list in that category! Can't wait for the next one in the series!
I devoured this book like all the delicious treats that show up in it! It was so enjoyable to read. Travis is super cute and sweet. I loved all the nicknames he had for Lila.
And Lila, what a feisty female. I loved her attitude and the mystery surrounding her past. With the added suspense plot, this made for a book I didn’t want to put down! Looking forward to the next one in the series!
This book was soo good!!! AAH! I wasn't able to pick up part 1 in this series before reading this one, but they are all standalone and can be read just fine. The story was lovely, I LOVED the characters and their sweet little hometown!
Travis and Lila have chemistry that is out of this world but is chemistry enough. An emotionally charged romantic sexy read set in a great small town. The characters and settings flow gracefully from the pages into your heart.
Fate, stars aligning, something that made us be here this weekend.
Their relationship might be fake, but she wanted more than anything for it to be real.
Five years ago camping in Logan Creek was life changing for Kade and Brody and Lila and Travis. Kade and Brody got married and Kade and Lila’s Bakery business ( Charmed Bakery) is doing well. While love flourished between Lila and Travis but now Travis wants to pursue his dream of becoming a police officer. Does this mean they will have a long distance relationship? Yet Lila couldn’t bear the thought of staying away from Travis and something that happened in her past is holding her back. But she doesn’t want to become barrier in Travis dreams. While Mandy lost Matthew years ago and since then raising her kids. Lila is afraid what fate has in attic for her and Travis.
The odyssey is filled with love, grief, loss, solving a murder case and making tough choices followed by twist of fate and unfortunate events.
If you love romance, mixed with a little murder then this book is for you. I love a good fake dating and marriage of convenience tropes and Canadian Fall did not disappoint on either. Add in a couple murders to make the perfect recipe for a perfect fall read.
I loved Travis and Lila and how they both were driven in their careers in Logan Creek and wanting to be the best, him up for a promotion and her running an amazing bakery.
Travis needs to look like he’s settling into town, and Lila needs a place to stay. Seems simple right? It would be but Lila overthinks everything and Travis is just trying to not scare her away.
As a woman who overthinks and worried, I related more to LIla than I’d initially thought. Especially with the having issues when people do things for me.
