In the year 2129, there is a mass exodus from Earth as people are fleeing a planet in the throes of global warming. Due to wormhole technology, global coalitions are able to send millions of people to distant solar systems every year. Nikki Jones is one of the skilled pilots who explores planets in the Goldilocks Zone to make sure they are habitable for humans. However, when she is sent to a planet designated 14ER, she ends up crashing her shuttle into the surface. Faced with the possibility of being stranded on the planet for months, or potentially longer, Nikki and her AI must contact the mothership before it leaves without her. Needing all her survival and mountaineering skills honed on Earth, Nikki is in a race against the clock, although she soon finds out that there is a bigger problem than just her rescue, and resolving this issue might just involve climbing the biggest and baddest mountain in the Eridanus solar system.
