Morgan grows up believing that she is an evil child worthy of punishment. Why else would her father disown her? Why else would her mother not answer her letters? When she meets her blind grandmother, Grace, she is delighted that at last she has a true family, but sadly her happiness is short lived. Grace dies and it seems to be Morgan's fault. It's only when she becomes a mother herself and is forced to abandon her own son that the true story is revealed.
4.5 stars This is such a lovely book and a real surprise. For an indie author to grasp such important things including depression and grief so well it was incredible. Morgan is a flawed but loveable character who you are willing to be happy. There are other characters that grow but I don’t want to give spoilers and tell you who but I will say keep an open mind on everyone.
