Phoebe Hart can’t take any chances. Her new job as a publicist on a breakout Hollywood film is her one shot at getting her life back under control. Screwing up could cost her everything.
From his time as a U.S. Marine to the silver screen, Griffin McNalley is a wild card and makes no apologies. But his devil-may-care attitude may have finally caught up with him. If he makes one more mistake, his career could be over, and getting involved with Phoebe Hart could be the biggest mistake of his life.
Despite their determination to stay apart, when Phoebe is thrown into a real-life action/thriller, it’s Griffin who volunteers to be her protector.

I suggest reading the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels before reading books in the Society, but it is not a requirement.

I can’t imagine what it took Phoebe to move from Florida to LA, especially with as close as she was to her family. I did understand why she did it. I think I would be so star struck working on a movie production to do my job, but Phoebe wasn’t. What a star too, Griffin who was a Seal and now the star of a movie. He was a man that didn’t see himself settling down. Phoebe starts getting threats and Griffin finds out. I was glad Griffin had friends to try and help him find out who was after Phoebe. There were a few things that happened to Phoebe that would have sent me going back to Florida! I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Reckless is an entertaining, suspenseful romance with a bit of mystery and a whole lot of steam! Phoebe and Griffin compliment each other so nicely. He’s a protective, ex military alpha and she’s a happy, sunshiny, gun wielding heroine.
Once again Ms. Blanchard has hit a home run! I loved Griffin and Phoebe ... they are just so relatable and the banter between them is very realistic. Even though Griffin is a PR nightmare, he actually has a protector's heart. And Phoebe just wanted to get on with her life without her parents watching her every move ... even though they are justified in their actions. The twists and turns had me turning the pages and before I knew it, the book was done ... wwaaaay so soon! 😢 I wanted more of Griffin and Phoebe.
Phoebe moves to California to be a publicist on a movie. All her new boss says is "don't fall for Griffin, the movie's lead actor". But when Phoebe is being stalked, it's none other than Griffin who comes to her aid. It's kinda hard not to fall for him when every time she turns around, he's there. Griffin is a marine turned actor and his protective side comes out when he finds out that someone is stalking Phoebe ... he just can't help himself. Will they be able to keep their hands off each other? Or will they give in to the burning desire between them?
I received an early copy courtesy of the author in exchange for a honest review.
Phoebe is about to leave her family and move across the country to start at a new PR company. Her first job is to work on a movie set and makes sure the most sought-after director and his main star Griffen are taken care of and stay in the positive. She is so excited about this job until she meets Griffen and knows there will be a problem. LOL, But it's a good problem as she will show them all she can do her job. Griffen is a tough man who has his own issues and being in the spotlight he never thought he would. Now he's a sought-after actor who has had his fair share of tragedy. What he doesn't need is some woman under his foot. However, when someone is threatening Phoebe it's Griffen who is unexpectedly there to make sure she's okay. Let me say this Phoebe is not your normal woman she is totally bad@ss. Sometimes though not everyone can protect you if someone really wants to get you. I was shocked when I read who it was that was after Phoebe and what this person has already done. Can Griffen save her before it's too late?
I really did enjoy Reckless a lot, however, I do believe it would have been perfect if it had been just a tad longer since it seemed rushed at the end but that's just me. Phoebe has finally gotten her big break as a publicist for a Hollywood film, and she's determined to not let anything get in her way. However, she sure didn't see Griffin McNalley (the lead on the movie) coming as they definitely shared an instant connection. He's not one to toe the line while she's totally a rule follower so they don't make sense on paper but the heart wants what the heart wants. If that's not complicated enough, she has a dangerous stalker in the shadows so there are plenty of twists coming in hot. And that's enough out of me since Reckless is on the short(ish) side so just hit those one click buttons to see how it all pans out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I liked this book, but everything moved at warp speed. Griffith and Phoebe worked together, he is an actor and she is a PR person for the film. They aren’t supposed to fraternize. When she starts receiving threatening texts he is there to help her and their relationship begins.
I did like how protective he was and how he genuinely had her safety in the forefront of his mind. I wish they would have explained the reason the person who was threatening Phoebe a little better. Don’t get me wrong, it is explained, but I am wondering if there was a deeper reason (I am being vague so I don’t give anything away).
Overall, I did enjoy this book and seeing some of the people from the original series was nice. I thought the relationship between Griffin and Phoebe was believable, if not rushed. I could actually see them together. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Hollywood glamour, a military hero turned movie star a girl with a great family who moves to Hollywood to make a name for herself, and you know that this story is a great addition to The Salvation Society set of books. Nicole Blanchard has crossed Reckless with her own First to Fight series and produced a must-read story.
Phoebe needing a change and although it is difficult to leave her family, at 25 it is time to spread her wings, and where better to do this than working PR for a film unit. Ex-military man Griffin now a Hollywood heartthrob loves to make his film company nervous, the things he witnessed while in the Army make him like to push the boundaries, there are more important things going on in the world than the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. From the moment that Griffin and Phoebe the sparks fly and the gloves are off.
Fast-paced, twists and turns a story that you won't want to put down.ex-military
Phoebe’s reasons for moving to LA is two-fold as it will give her some freedom and allow her to work in PR on a film. She is determined to deny her attraction to Griffin as getting personally involved with him could end her career but that is no longer possible when she attracts the attention of the wrong person.
Griffin has transitioned from his military career and is now an actor. He has a difficult past and isn’t looking for love or a relationship but when he finds out that Phoebe is in danger his need to protect her changes everything.
Phoebe and Griffin are compelling characters, and the romance and intrigue of the plot will have you invested in them and their story.
Entertaining story with some suspense and a sweet, steamy romance! Loved the connection between Phoebe and Griffin; a little more flirtatious moments between them would’ve been good, but they are cute together. Phoebe is the daughter of Ben and Olivia from Blanchard’s First to Fight series, so I was excited to read this because I love that series! Phoebe is trying to become a more independent woman, so she accepts a job in Hollywood as a publicist, leaving all her family and friends. She lands an awesome job working on a movie set, and that’s where she meets ex-military turned stuntman turned movie star, Griffin. There’s a no fraternizing rule at Phoebe’s work and Griffin has some issues from his past, so they both keep their distance. That changes when someone isn’t too happy that Phoebe is in Hollywood, and starts causing her problems, so Griffin can’t help his protective instincts and offers her help. Fun danger; enjoyed the stalker premise! Likable, smart characters; love how honest they are with each other. Plus, I loved getting a bit more with Ben and Olivia! I like Blanchard’s writing style too, so an all around enjoyable read for me!
Not sure, although I feel like it went from 0-10 so quickly. Which meant that I couldn't put it down but now I'm sad it's over... Phoebe and Griffin are super cute from the start. If instant love/chemistry wasn't what you wanted to read then this book , it is...then fast forward to their steamy scenes mixed with "who's the stalker??" In the end it was quick a refreshing read, HEA. To be honest though the "who done it?" answer came to early on for me. But well written and definitely worth the read!!
I haven’t read anything by Nicole Blanchard before Reckless. This was a good intro to her and her writing. This was definitely a quick read & I enjoyed it! It came off a little rushed, but I don’t think it takes away from the story. Phoebe & Griffin try to fight their attraction to one another. He’s the broody vet turned actor and she’s the new publicist for the film he’s shooting. Both have pasts that hurt & are keeping them from being open to more.
Love Griffin and Phoebe together. It was such a read revisiting Ben and Liv through their daughter. This was a very fast paced story with plenty of suspense and bits of intrigue. The chemistry between tough as nails Griffin has his not so faint of heart lady Phoebe full of steam and heat. Although I felt their story was I little rushed it was still an exciting story that you will enjoy reading.
LOVE LOVE LOVE My first read from Nicole Blanchard and it was so good Phoebe is working for Catherine Cole and Griffin is ex-military, worked for Jackson Cole and became an actor. The book is full of suspense, passion, romance and cool alpha male heat. I loved it!!!
Can't rate this book it's missing so many pages you loose the story. Obviously something happened in publishing prklessocess? If you can get it fixed would love to read it
Really enjoyed this action packed and edge of your seat adventure. Emotional, sexy, thrilling and engaging romantic adventure filled with danger, mystery and scorching hot passion.....
Phoebe and Griffin are definitely reckless when the chemistry between them can't be denied and explodes. The suspense and mystery surrounding Phoebe's stalker had me on edge and I just love that this story not only connects to the Salvation Society World but to the author's First to Fight series as Phoebe is Ben and Livvie's daughter. It was a full circle and I practically devoured this.
I really enjoyed Phoebe and Griffin’s story. Phoebe and Griffin’s connection was amazing and their chemistry was off the charts. I love that I didn’t see the crazy twist coming. A really amazing read with amazing characters.

A great read! I sweet and suspenseful story. I was hooked with its twists. I loved the characters, the connection, the banter and steamy chemistry. It’s an entertaining read and not to be missed!
Nicole Blanchard has written an amazing story of mystery, suspense, and love with the Hollywood actor Griffin and the publicist for his new production, Phoebe. The denial of their true feelings and their run from love makes it a fun read. This is a not to be missed Salvation Series read!
This read pulled me right into the story on the first chapter. Phoebe is one strong woman, some of her situations she was In, no way I'd stick around. Griffin is probably the last person who should befriend Phoebe, but he turns out to be one of the best man for the job. These two had some serious insta chemistry, both deserve to be happy, both deserve an hea. They made the best team, while searching her stalker down.
A brilliant story i could not put down. Pheobe is a great character, resilient and fierce in her determination to succeed. Griffin is the star, reckless and brave in adversity. Put together they make quite a combination. The twists and turns of the story had me engrossed. I could not put this book down. I love the character arc, plot detail and nods to previous casts. I highly recommend this book and author. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Shortly, sweet and Hart-fully wonderful. I have missed this family and Ben's grumpy protective ways (though we only get bits and pieces of him). This is Phoebe's story and it was wonderful seeing her soar. We meet ex-marine/actor Griffin and though he is a bit of a mini Ben (🤣 grumpy ex-Marine) with a bit of a wild side we eventually see him soften up and be deserving of Phoebe's love. Phoebe was amazing to meet. She is strong willed and hard working. She's not afraid to let an unknown force stop her from doing amazing work. I admired that about her. This book took a slight twist I didn’t expect but it made me love it even more. I'm just said that it was so short (I wanted that Ben interrogation ❤).

I really enjoyed this shorter length read. This book wastes no time in pulling you into the storyline and having you feeling invested in the characters. I found Griffin and Phoebe likable and I loved them as a couple. The story flows nicely and reads smoothly. A blend of romance, drama, suspense, twists and emotion make the pages feel like they fly by. This is my impartial, independently posted review.
