The Society #2

To Capture a Thorn

Rate this book
I know pain and loss, what it means to be lied to.

I have nothing. No one. I’m all alone. They took everything from me and want to take more. I did everything Gideon, Dante, William, and Mateo asked of me, and they failed.

The Society believes I can leave. They give me the chance that was taken from me, but I won’t give up. I will have justice for the ones I lost, which means I have to stay. I have to become part of The Society. I must give them everything in order to get what I want.

I wish I could blame the Saintly Devils. They turned my life upside down, but after I lost everything, they’re the ones who come to my rescue, making it so hard for me to walk away.

But this was never about me, this was about them, and all I can do is hope to be there to save them when the time comes.

No one betrays The Society. They are always watching and always prepared

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

overthinking is not good.

I confess I slaughtered the first book and vowed not to read this one. Well, I caved. I was too curious to find out what happened. My problem as a book reader and ersatz reviewer is that I over think. I find holes in the stories and especially in the time lines. This particular genre gives me a massive headache, all because the characters are supposed to be teenagers, and act like 40 year olds. Especially in the matters of intimacy. And their ‘skill sets’ are nothing short of ridiculous. I won’t get into the details, you all know what I’m speaking about. Anyway, this book had the typical problems, typical ending and typical revenge scenarios for the previous bullies. The Association remains secret and the author promises more to be revealed in future books. Will I remain on board this dubious storyline? Maybe, maybe not. To each his/her own.

Well worth the read!

Although this author doesn't like duets that leave you hanging, I was more than happy to fall into the second half of this book. It crammed so many emotions all in one super charged read. There was never a doubt how the characters evolved, the internal conflict or the loyalty to their relationship.

Definitely worth the read. Be prepared to get a book hangover! I read straight into the wee hours box the night and woke up diving right back in!

The story I had been looking for.

It's the second part of a to keep a rose in the society. There were so many darker elements in it, it was really captivating. I couldn't put the book down. Because I always wanted to know what happens next.

Overall, it was a good story, but it was definitely dragged out

It seemed the whole series could have been 1 book if the characters didn't drag things out for multiple chapters without a resolution. Anticlimactic.

Could not stop reading...

Simply awesome...Love the sex scenes, but she has a plot going. Just when you think you know where things are going... The author surprises you again. Definitely a big fan of her.

OMG! Absolutely Phenomenal! The story grabbed me and didn't let go through out the book. I loved it and this was worth the wait. I found nothing predictable about this, in fact, there were a few things I didn't see coming. So worth the read.
