Finding their soulmate was the last thing they expected.
Holly:
The first time we met, he literally took my breath away.
The second time, was less fate and more meddling friends who think they know best.
Now, we can’t seem to escape each other.
Is there such a thing as falling too hard, too fast?
Daniel:
She was the last thing I ever expected, but now I can’t seem to let her go.
Running into her seems like fate when our paths keep colliding.
Can you fall in love with someone you just met?
Our friends seem to think we’re crazy,
But this was only the beginning…
Before Only For the Summer, Holly and Daniel met. Following their romance, leading up to their wedding & the events of Only For the Summer. While this is in the same universe as Only For the Summer, this is a prequel where either can be read as a standalone.

I fell in love with Daniel and Holly and their friends and family in this quick, fun read about love and finding your forever. Fate brought them together and they built a relationship and a future. Shannon O’Connor is one of my favourite authors and I have loved reading all of her books and this is a new series that is off to a great start and I am so excited to be reading more of all these characters in books to come.
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is sooo cute! I love Holly and Daniel so much! Their chemistry is super cute and I loved the way they met! It was short and sweet and I really enjoyed getting lost in this story for a couple hours ❤️
Cute story, Daniel saves Holly after she is pulling underwater by the riptide. He is a workaholic that has always put work first. They have great chemistry and have a misunderstanding, will it break them apart? Enjoyed this short read.
I received this copy and my spoiler free review is voluntary
This is a great story showing the start of a whirlwind romance! The chemistry between the two main characters was off the charts. I am itching for more details and depth about each of the characters! Seeing as this is the prequel for a much larger series, this was a great introduction and teaser to entice readers to dive deeper into the Only in Seaside series to connect more with the characters. I can't wait to see where the next book takes us!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. This is a prequel novella to Only for the Summer which I will definitely be reading next. She drew me in so fast and I couldn’t stop until I was done.
Holly and Daniel weren’t looking for love. But fate intervened and that’s exactly what happened when these two met. It was literally live at first sight. And their friends and family are so supportive. Their chemistry is off the charts. I love the progression of their time spent together and their relationship. But can these two last with how much Daniel works?
Such a quick short read that sets you up for Only for the Summer. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I received this arc and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I loved Holly and Daniel! Imagine your love story beginning when someone literally saves you from drowning. That is what happens with Holly. Daniel is her hero. Both their friends and family want them to find someone. Daniel is always working and it has interfered in his dating life in the past. Can Holly possibly slow him down? Their chemistry from the beginning is off the charts. They start spending time together-camping, meeting his family, and just hanging out. They have a ball and even when Daniel is working extra, they try their best to make time for each other. Will they end up together in the end or will Daniel’s work interfere yet again? You don’t want to miss a single moment.
This story starts with the kiss of life and just keeps getting better. It is a beautiful love story with laughs, sexy times and just enough drama to make it realistic. I loved this book.
Love this short read about Daniel and Holly! It wasn't the best way to meet but they made it work! They have awesome heat. Sweet and swoon worthy what a great combination! You will want to dive into this one!
This story was so good and as always left me wanting so much more!! Holly and Daniel's relationship had me smiling the whole time and I very much enjoyed the bit of steam that was on this story. I hope we get to see more of the happy couple and the people in their lives!!
This was such a cute quick read. The main characters were relatable and who doesn't love a sweet love story. I do wish we went more in-depth with some of the side character interactions, but maybe we'll get that in a future novel ;)
This is a cute little read and I loved how well the characters jelled. My favorite party was when he doesn't want to say 'I love you' too soon, you know, pull a 'Ted Mosby'!

Holly is swimming in the ocean when she gets pulled under by a riptide. Next thing she's waking up on the beach with a man staring at her. Daniel is immediately infatuated after saving Holly. To both their surprise, their friends randomly try to set them up on a blind date together and they get to spend more time together.
I loved this short story. It was so cure and enjoyable. I thought their meeting and all the events after were just so great to read about.
