With special appearances by King Scimitar, Stoveplate Sullivan, Billy Wristwatch, and others directly from the podcast, this oversize special brings you deeper into the mysteries behind Batman: The Audio Adventures!
Probably more of a 2½⭐, but the final story featuring Two-Face was actually pretty brilliant. Also I've seen a bunch of people rag on the art but I don't think It's a fair criticism. There's a very low-key Darwin Cooke'esq to the art direction which I think works well for something comparable to 1940’s radio serials.
I haven't heard the Audio Adventures stuff yet, but it's at the top of my list, this is absolutely what I love about the older age of comics, blended with the new. There's the great energy, while still taking itself seriously, and the actual energy of it all is really well done. The writer team here went all out, and the art is phenomenal, this is a fantastic special and I had so much fun with it.
This was fun! I really like the art style and the sometimes goofy Batman panels it left us. While most of the stories didn’t do much for me, the Riddler one was good and I liked Miss Tuesday.
The Two-Face one was ultimately my favorite - I find him so interesting and I love the coin aspect of his character. I just - my live for him in infinite.
Rating everything together maybe more of a 3.5/5, but the Two-Face part was amazing.
The first couple stories and the Two-Face story are probably worth the price of admission alone. At its best, this comic feels adjacent to the tone and artistic style of Paul Dini's & Bruce Timm's Batman. But the bulk of this book is filled with dull and forgettable stories, making this a comic I'm unlikely to return to.
this was so cute! perfect companion to the podcast. i enjoyed every story quite a bit. twoface’s was compelling and the riddlers was silly and the scarecrows was funny and ect ect . i love how they wrote out the penguins particular laugh !
A tie-in to the podcast that doesn't really add much. I guess it was kinda cute when people were trying to debate how Batman came to be. Much of the art looked too "cartoony" for me.
