Roommate Romps #2

Love Thy Neighbor

Rate this book
Don’t fall for your roommate…especially when he’s your best friend.

Cooper Bennett is my best friend.
That’s all he is and all he ever will be.
Nothing will change that.

Accidentally seeing him naked? Please. So not a big deal.
Having less-than-tame thoughts? I mean, have you seen this guy? Who could blame me?
Kissing him? It was a one-time mistake, and it will not be repeated.
Falling into bed with him? Uh-oh…

It’s fine. We’re fine.

We’re Caroline and Cooper. Best friends until the end. Nothing has ever come our way that we couldn’t survive together.

Surely, we can handle this too…

Best friends and roommates who don’t want to ruin a good thing!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💜💙💚💖
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌎
Character development: 🥸😯😎☺️🥰

The heroine: Caroline - has been best friends with Cooper since her parents divorce when she moved across the street from her. Caroline is painfully shy and timid. She wants to be a clothing designer but her father was dismissive of that as a career path and so she is afraid to put her designs out there.

The Hero: Cooper - he is a video game coder who works from home. He has been roommates with Caroline since the summer before college and he kissed her once and it didn’t end well so ever since, they have been just best friends and nothing more.

The love story: Caroline has been feeling a bit lonely so she wants to meet someone new. Cooper says he will help her find someone, but a chance encounter between them in the hallway when he is just out of the shower changes the dynamic between them.

This story has so much sexual tension it is crazy. Since the nude encounter, Caroline and Cooper both can’t seem to keep their thoughts away from each other. Things get even worse after they kiss. Cooper has some seriously steamy thoughts about Caroline and you know that he will end up acting those things out because once the pictures are in his head, he can’t go back to thinking about her as just his best friend.

I usually am not too fond of friends to lovers romance, I like to see the first meeting and the romance from the start. However, these two were seriously hot and I liked the fact that they knew each other so well and have been there for each other for years. Of course things don’t go perfectly smoothly but the story was a good one and I loved the tension, the steam and the romance!

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

We’re perfect as friends. No reason to screw that up, right?

I love a good friends to lovers story and Teagan Hunter’s books are always hilarious and fun, so I knew I was in for a treat with Love Thy Neighbor and I was right. I really enjoyed this one. It was a ton of fun, sweet, and steamy.

Caroline and Cooper have been best friends for a long time- I’m talking their middle school days. They stayed best friends through high school, went to college together, and now are roommates as adults. There has never been anything between them aside from friendship but one awkward towel moment changes everything between them.

Both Caroline and Cooper are attracted to one another and they have so much fun together, but neither one of them is willing to take the step in changing their relationship for fear of ruining their friendship, but after an intense kiss, they’re unable to deny their chemistry any longer.

I loved both Cooper and Caroline. Cooper made me laugh so much and I adored how much he cared for Caroline. Caroline was great, and it was so much fun reading her scenes will River. I loved getting more River and Dean in this book!

I was in the mood for a light and fun book, and this one hit the spot for me. It was a wonderful friends to lovers romance with a lot of heart, a bit of emotion, steam, and tons of laughs. I recommend for all lovers of this troupe and romantic comedies!

This was the perfect friends to lovers read. Caroline and Cooper were perfect from start to finish. Their banter was on point and the sexual tension was sooo there.

Cooper and Caroline have been friends for over 10 years. They are beyond comfortable with each other. They have been through so much together. The good and the bad. They have never had the urge to want more from each other. Not until Caroline mentions that she needs to be branch out and finally be with someone after such a long hiatus. Being the best friend that Cooper is, he offers his assistance in being her wingman. But does he really want her with someone that isn't him...

One accident occurs, in a hallway and it's their catalyst. One dropped towel, heated-lustful glances and an accidental grope leads to the truest love one could hope for. One dropped towel sets them off, like a bomb. They went in heart first and never looked back. This was such a sweet and steamy read. I loved Cooper and his dirty talk. Yum!

Esta autora no es mi más, los libros que he leído de ella han sido meh en especial el primero de esta serie PEEERO este es Friends to lovers and you know what it means además son roomies.

Muchos clichés que uno disfruta.

Y obviamente me gustó.

Love Thy Neighbor is book 2 in the Roommate Romps series but can be read as a standalone. This is a low angst, low drama friends to lovers romance following two best friends & roommate's Cooper & Caroline.

This story was a fun, sweet and super quick read. It had the usual Teagan Hunter humor sprinkled throughout & I loved the dynamic of these two together. Cooper was super supportive, goofy, cute and a little dirty but the good kind. Caroline was a little more reserved, a true homeboy & struggled with wanting to chase her dreams and passions but being hesitant after being told repeatedly (by family) they were a waste of time.

Watching these two navigate friendship into a more flirty, physical and romantic relationship was a joy and as usual the side characters added that extra charm. The conflict/resolution wasn't my favourite but it still fit the flow of the story well and I enjoyed way it ended and can't wait for the next installment/couple.

Is the way they ✨effectively communicated✨ for me!!

No, seriously, this was so so SO cute and fun, I really loved reading this book. It was full of domestic and sweet scenes, good banter and bickering between two people who were friends first and foremost AND KEPT THAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE HISTORY. Ugh, Thea and Sully are still my favorite couple written by this author, but I think Caroline and Cooper earned second place in my heart 🧡

FRIENDS TO LOVERS?

Jaaaaa I’m in!

Entretenido, bonito, sensual y divertido.

“Being a good friend to your best friend is hard to do when everything inside you wants to haul her into your lap and kiss her until neither of you can breathe.”

Caroline and Cooper have been best friends since they were fifteen and roommates for about seven years. They have a tight and strong friendship, everything is perfect between them and nothing could ruin their bond … until a naked mistake makes everything awkward. Caroline and Cooper think they can move on and forget what happened, but they are not ready to face the flood of feelings that will hit them.

Love Thy Neighbor is the second book in the Roommate Romps series, Caroline and Cooper were mentioned several times in the previous book and once I knew they were best friends, I was very excited to get my hands on this book. Best friends to lovers is probably my all-time favorite trope when it comes to romance, which is why I was so excited about this book. As the first book in the series, I enjoyed this one so much! It has all the rom-com vibes, this book is funny, steamy, cute, angsty and a well-written best friends to lovers romance. The dynamic between the main characters, whether they were friends or more, was great and I loved it a lot, they were so sweet and adorable together! The fact that they were also roommates led to so many domestic scenes and I could reread these scenes all day. I also liked the little glimpses of Dean and River’s relationship from book one and they are still so funny and cute together. Like Teagan Hunter’s other series, you really get attached to all the characters, main and secondary, you want to know more about them and can’t stop reading to find out what’s going to happen to them.

Caroline Reed is a shy and talented designer, but not confident enough to share her work with the world and sell it in the boutique where she works. And her best friend, Cooper Bennett, is a confident game developer. They both have very different perspectives on love and relationships, Caroline uses dating apps to find someone who, like her, is interested to be in a real and serious relationship. She is kind of a hopeless romantic and is tired of not finding anyone to date who wants the same things in life as she does. On the other hand, Cooper isn’t really looking to settle down and is perfectly happy to have one-night stands. They have very different personalities, but over the years they have formed a close friendship.

Caroline and Cooper have practically known each other their whole life, but only became best friends in high school when Caroline and her father moved in next to Cooper’s family after her parents went through a rough divorce. Cooper was there to support her during this difficult time and since then they have developed a very strong and tight friendship. They grew up together, went to the same college and are now living together. They probably know everything about each other, are very protective and supportive of each other and love to bicker and tease each other a lot. Caroline and Cooper are aware that many people think that a girl and a guy can’t be best friends, so they unconsciously set boundaries and rules in their friendship to never do anything to harm it. But when Caroline accidentally sees Cooper naked and grope him, these rules will all be threatened by their sudden attraction and feelings. They try to ignore them and act like nothing has happened because they are both scared to ruin their friendship, so they pretend that everything is fine, but they can’t stop thinking about each other and the angst between them is only getting stronger. It’s even harder to act as if everything is cool when all their friends are rooting for them to get together and they just can’t stop thinking about kissing. At some point, the attraction is just too strong and they can’t stop thinking about each other that they finally decide to act on their feelings. After a night Caroline and Cooper will probably never forget, they will make a decision that will forever change their friendship.

Overall, Love Thy Neighbor is another great and well-written rom-com story by Teagan Hunter. I absolutely loved the angst and chemistry between Caroline and Cooper and they perfectly served the best friends to lovers trope <3 I’m excited to see what’s next for this series and I think the next book will be Maya’s. I’m still rooting for her to end up with Dean’s best friend Nolan, so I can’t wait to know more about it!

if you see me crying over fictional couples please just let me be

And she did it again HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE not a single bad book from miss Hunter. When I first heard that this is gonna be a best friends to lovers book I wanted to scream one of my favourite authors writing one my favourite tropes...just mind-blowing.

Caroline and Cooper were everything that i was expecting !!! They had this domestic vibes all the best friends have, they almost shared everything with each other no shame with these two, once again their banter was the best part of this book such funny dialogues and let's not forget these hot scenes 👀 yes club part I'm talking about you thank you for existing.

Caroline is my emotional support character and president of the baby community, she's so talented but afraid to start something new she loves spending her days in and watching shows......awfully relatable if you ask me. Cooper is a bubbly guy he loves making fun of Caroline, a little bit too much, he's the life of the party, he's not afraid to risk anything even if it means their friendship just so he can be with Caroline.

Cooper wanting to help Caroline meet new people and then seeing her socializing with men and deciding "fuck no" is very personal to me. These two wanted each other since forever and they were scared to ruin their friendship it was obvious !!!! I loved how they kept pushing each other to follow their dreams and being always very supportive !!!

Did I mention that their relationship also started early in the book like fuck this 80% in and still no relationship talk in a book, Cooper was pretty much obsessed with her and risked everything for her, I love when we see the guy doing the first step and the girl is the scared one AHHH love it.

Such a soft book that you don't want to miss, amazing writing and characters that feel so close to you !!! This is truly becoming a very special series to me and I can't wait for the next books 💛

2.5 there is nothing wrong with this novel except its been done before 1000 times over. In fact I think Emma hart did a book like this where heroine falls in love with guy best friend hero twice already. I also got super annoyed at our heroine for being a sassy little snowflake who wanted him but didn't want him and would sass our hero when he didn't do anything except be hot. She's a caricature of a typical romance reader so she can be relatable to the mass audience. Always wanting cozy things. Always doesn't want her bra on. Etc etc. All fair points and im that person but i can tell when im being pandered too sometimes.

Damn Teagan Hunter, is there trope you can't nail!! This is by far one of my favourite best friend to lovers Rom-Coms.

This is a book that not only has Teagan's signature snark that will keep you laughing until the next page, but has all the emotion and heart you can expect from her stores too.

I was so excited when I found out this was Cooper and Caroline's book! We met them in a small part in Loathe Thy Neighbour (which if you haven't read yet, grab it now. It's an enemies to lovers/rommates to lovers rom-com).

They have the greatest friendship ever and I loved how that shone through. I adored how they slowly slipped and started seeing each other differently through little mishaps.

Cooper discovers that Caroline is trying to look for guys through a stupid dating app, so he offers (more like insists) to take her out so she can meet people on person and find a hookup since she admits to feeling "lonely" in so many words.

From that point it's when things change, they've known each other for over ten years and are the bestest friends so it's hard to keep these new feelings in check. However when they keep giving in and things get more complicated they realise that the worst that could happen is them never speaking to each other again, and they can't live with that so why not give a relationship a shot.

It's so cute and funny! You also get to see a lot of growth in Caroline, despite Cooper making many mistakes and one big one they're love wins out in the end.

If you want a rom-com to help you escape whole also giving you the cutest rom-com you'll ever read, grab Love Thy Neighbour now!!!

Now I shal patiently wait for book 3, Crave Thy Neighbour which I'm hoping is Maya!!

An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.

love thy neighbor is the second book in the roommate romps series. this one is about caroline and cooper, two best friends who were neighbors and live together since freshman year in college.

i really enjoyed this book! i liked caroline in the first book and i related a lot to her in this one. we even share the same humor because i’m also a fan of the alien comics mentioned… not gonna lie, i was super excited when i read about it because those are super funny and underrated. another thing i really loved in caroline was her shyness. i’m always here for feisty heroines, but shy heroines are super underrated and deserve love too. anyway, the book was great and i really liked their dynamic! what i love the most in this series is that it’s very fast paced and the books can be read in like a day. caroline and cooper are really cute, and honestly i also want a boyfriend to watch the vampire diaries with while we eat pizza.

looking forward to the next book in the series!!! single mom trope come to me ♡ i assume the main girl will be maya, and i would love it if her love interest was nolan ♡

best friend-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes in romance so i'm definitely hooked right from the beginning with caroline and cooper's story. everything in their relationship developed smoothly. the main conflict was somewhat predictable and i could totally understand each person's point of view especially with caroline's insecurities.

“Love Thy Neighbor” is a standalone contemporary romance by the best selling author Teagan Hunter. Told in dual perspective , Get ready to meet Caroline and Cooper!!

I can’t even tell you guys how much I love this author's books! The best part is that every single sentence of her books has humour! I repeat EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE! The way she writes , I can’t help but be hooked right from the start and never leave the book until the very end! Cooper and Caroline were everything and I bet you to not fall in love with these two NutJobs!

Caroline and Cooper have been best friends for almost 10 years. There have been moments when they have tried to cross their best-friend boundary but that just resulted in failed attempts and awkwardness so they gave up pretty soon! Everything is fine between them , until a certain blunder happens. The mentioned blunder would be Caroline stumbling upon Cooper naked and Gawking at him. There might be some accidental groping also involved. They try to play things off but suddenly the only person they both want is each other.

There are boundaries that they both respect and now it;s becoming really tough for them to not cross those boundaries. If they give in to their urges then there is a high chance that they might lose their friendship. But if they don't then they might lose their minds lmao!!
We also see a lot of scenes of Dean and River who are the couple of “Loathe Thy Neighbor” i.e. the first standalone book of this series. I am sure I will never read the most epic banter of the century , i.e. Dean and River’s Conversations! Those two make me laugh so bad!

The book was perfect and was everything that I would expect from this author! It had laughter and sass which makes it one of my top contemporary reads and there is no way I wouldn’t recommend this to all the contemporary romance lovers out there!

Teagan's books are always something I look forward to, and I've been desperately needing her brand of wit and comedy in my life and this book did not disappoint!!

Caroline and Cooper have been the best of friends for the past 10 years, even though anyone can see they obviously mean more to each other than that. One disastrously placed towel later, the sexual chemistry between them can no longer be ignored, and soon these two are figuring out how to balance their friendship and the love they are just beginning to admit they feel for one another. But can they find the perfect balance without destroying their newfound love?

I absolutely LOVED the beautiful friendship these two shared!! They were definitely each other's person, and knew what was best for them even before the other realized it. Their flirting was so intense that I just couldn't wait for them to bang it out😂😂 I truly enjoyed Caroline's character arc and how she was torn between staying true to who she was and what her father wanted her to be. Even though I wanted to shake them both for some of their actions, everything turned out perfect in the end!! I can't wait for the next book in the series!!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

“I’d never give him the satisfaction of knowing it, but sometimes I think Cooper was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

omg really enjoyed this ?? made me realize how i miss reading best friends to lovers pls ,,,, been awhile i think 😣,,,, anyway

so yes coopercaroline served the following tropes:
✔️ best friends to lovers + roomies
✔️opposites attract
✔️ guy pining for the girl first
✔️ ive learned that i like it in best friends to lovers when the guy is the one who’s willing risk to it all but the girl’s the scared one,,,, dunno hits different to me 😙
✔️ so yes the guy does the first move(s) in going transitioning to the romantic territory 😎
✔️some domestic scenes pls
✔️ the softness of the bffs to lovers hits different u guys,,,,,, ngl i shed some tears

in addition:
-caroline is babie pls ??
-um,,,, cooper is 6’5”???? hello??? what even
-cooper calls caroline ‘care’ pls that cute
-when caroline was thinking about like the in-between moments and the subtle moments like how much she wanted that???? um same???? i felt that in my bones ngl hfnffj
-um yeah im pretty much sure caroline is my book twin, personality-wise stop jdndjd
-them being friends for 10 years,,,, yeah i love that
-pls the singing thing towards the end,,,,, that cracked me up xd

Let me tell ya that this book is one of the most adorable books I've ever read and I can't get enough when it comes to Caroline and Cooper. These two have been inseparable since their teenage years and no one knows them better than they know each other. For their entire life, they have never crossed the limit for the sake of their friendship, until one day Cooper decided to help Caroline to find someone for her to hookup with. Even more, there was a little nude incident that happened between them that they ended up starting to feel something that they know they shouldn't. Therefore, that was the moment where something more started to develop between these two.

In this book, I can't help but adore the relationship between Cooper and Caroline. Their chemistry is extremely strong, and they were always there to support each other no matter what the circumstances. Also, I loved the development of how they started to realize that they had feelings for each other and how they tried to get used to the idea.

Overall, I truly recommend everyone to read this book especially if you're a fan of friends to lovers trope. This book is very entertaining and it really made me smile throughout the time I was reading it. Moreover, it is pretty light and easy to read so I was able to finish the book in one seating. Finally, I have to say that Teagan had done a great job in delivering the story and I can't help but appreciate how beautiful it was written.

Tutto è diventato incredibilmente chiaro: io volevo lei.

Cooper & Caroline have been best friends since they were teens and now as adults, they’re roommates, too. But friends is all they’ve ever been, until Caroline accidentally sees Cooper naked. They try to keep things cool, but things take a turn when they kiss after a few drinks. They no longer are “just friends.” Cooper & Caroline decide to give a romantic relationship a try, but they’re worried that if things fail, their friendship will be ruined forever. And they have to decide if it’s a risk they’re willing to take.

Love Thy Neighbor by Teagan Hunter is book 2 in the Roommate Romps series. I always love a good friends to lovers romance so I was excited to hear the next book in Teagan’s new series was one of my favorite tropes. I enjoyed this one but definitely not as much as the first book in this series. I wanted more buildup, more slow burn before Cooper & Caroline get together. They become an item early on and a lot of the book is them hooking up. It’s low-angst and I saw the low-stakes conflict coming from early on. I would’ve loved to see more push and pull with our couple but I still enjoyed this light read, as Teagan’s writing is some of my favorite. Can’t wait to read Maya’s book eventually! 3.5/5 stars.
