Elimination

Rate this book
Deception. Demons are experts at it.

I thought I could control my fate. I thought I could send the Master of Demon Runes back to the Underworld where he belongs, but instead, I'm the one forced into a dangerous game of elimination.

Now I must fight for my life against the strongest demons—demons who have waited their whole lives for the chance to rule the Underworld.

My only chance at survival is to trust the most dangerous man of all. An ancient, ruthless demon with unlimited power and deadly secrets, who wants to claim my heart and my body.

Illusion. The Underworld is built on it.

He pulls me into his world and promises me everything I could desire, but how can I trust him when death waits for me and my family with every step I take? I won't risk the people I love. Not for anything.

My whole life I've fought the darkness growing within me, but if protecting my sisters and my demon wolves means embracing the nightmares of my power, then so be it.

Demons may be experts at deception.
The Underworld may be filled with illusions that threaten to break me.
But my power is growing, and soon... I will be their nightmare.

Let the Elimination begin.

*Demon Pack: Elimination is a full length (108,000 words), dark and sexy paranormal romance, the second in the Demon Pack series. It’s recommended for 18+ due to language, mature themes, and sexual situations. Ends on a cliffhanger.

This is a hard review for me to write because I absolutely loved the first book in this the Demon Pack series. The characters were strong, unique and the plot flowed seamlessly. However, “Demon Pack: Elimination” was a tedious read for me and I almost didn’t finish it several times.

So, what went wrong? I don’t enjoy storyline lines where there is little to no dialogue. In this case the first 56% of the book was Nova describing one situation after another or endlessly telling us how she feels. Her sisters play a very limited role until about 75% into the read.

In all fairness there are some great moments between Nova and Rune but at times even the sex was too much. No, I’m not a prude but I’ve noticed that some of my favorite writer include one or two sex scenes in a book leaving you wanting more. I wonder if the excessive sex scenes is used as a ploy to extend out the read.

About 75% into the read the story really picked up
and became interesting. There was more action and a lot more dialogue. I know that I’m in the minority regarding my feelings about this read. Most of the reviews are 4-5 stars. I’m okay with this because the main reason I write reviews is to remind me about the plot of a particular book while I wait for the next book in the series. I always recommend that each person should read a book for themselves and decide what they think. As for me, I will not be going on with this series.

I think I liked the first book more, Demon Pack (Demon Pack, #1). Not that this wasn`t satisfactory, but it felt a bit rushed.

In this one the relationship of the protagonist with the big bad boy gets more intense and I did not necessary appreciate how it goes. It seemed to be a bit too much out of nowhere.

And the idea of that trial---ugh. I so did not like it.

I thought I enjoyed the first book (which I did - it was so good!) but this one blew it out of the water!

This book takes place entirely in the hell realm, where Nova, her sisters and demon wolves ended up in the end of the last book. Nova is the 7th of the Demon King's children and, since he's gone missing, all of his children must compete in an elimination to the death, which basically just means they all have challenges they have to survive through to get to the next (and then final) round.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was not all the relationship development that happened between Nova and Roman (which I LOVED!). Roman is not who you think he is, and Nova learns a lot more about him and his past, and he ends up being a fantastic partner and ally for her.

Roman warns Nova in the beginning of the book that everything is not as it seems and boy, was he right. Nova is definitely the underdog and has to fight against everyone's expectations and her own fears to survive the challenges. I was glued to the story and by the time it got to the end I could not believe what was happening.

CANNOT wait for the next book! What a cliffhanger.

Spell binding, Magical and Literal Perfection!

You know when a series is awesome? When book two out shines book 1. These ladies absolutely blew this book out of this world. I was so engrossed in this story that I couldn’t stop once I started. Nova is vastly becoming one of my favorite female leads, she’s strong and kick butt and add in her amazing sisters and how she is with her demon wolves and her affinity for animals …. Take my money! It’s rare when I love animals almost as much as the main characters! They are just everything to me. Add in twists and turns and word building and this book will blow your mind. Andddd let’s not forget our man he’s turning out to be more then I expected and I’m here for it, if you loved him in book one just wait for this book! Of course these lovely ladies wouldn’t be who they are without leaving me with that ending that has me over here like ….. where’s the rest?!? I was not prepared lol! Definitely get lost in this amazing series and don’t hesitate to read, because these two out did themselves and understood the assignment! Cannot wait for book three!

This series just keeps getting better. Nova more then ever needs to fight for her life. With secrets exposed, Nova doesn’t know who too trust. I absolutely am loving this story and the characters are amazing. Nova & Roman(Rune) I can’t get enough of. There chemistry is off the charts. I can’t wait too read what happens next especially after reading how this ended.

WOAH! I haven’t been groped by a story like that in a while! Twists and turns and mysteries and All the things. And that cliffy
. Oh damn book 3 here I come! And no it’s not YA. The spice came in this heart pounding slow burn. SOOOO GOOOOD!

Enjoyable - another don't judge the book by its cover - Great story. I actually think the authors are doing a disservice to the story with these covers.

If you have never read a paranormal book before then you certainly can't go past this series by two of the best authors I have had the pleasure to read. The story continues with Nova being forced into the Elimination trials, the eventual winner becoming the ruler of hell. With bias against her and her packmates in prison, Nova finds that her skills are tested to the fullest. While this book ends on a killer of a cliffhanger I still highly recommend the story .

This book picks up immediately where book one ends. Which, if you're like me and have forgotten, is with the three half-shifter sisters on the bridge to hell and a whole lot of demons around them. The action keeps going from there and doesn't really let up.
I preferred this to the first book, though I couldn't tell you exactly why. Maybe because I knew not to expect the humour and banter this time around? It's a little different from Jaymin's other series, but still very swoon worthy and full of sister-love/support.
I am so behind the way the love interest is handled in this story. Instead of trotting around each other for the entire series and miscommunicating and only becoming a couple right at the end, these two have made their choice and get together during the story, then support it each. It's really refreshing. I seem to have found a lot of dragged out romances in these sorts of series as of late; and while there's a lot to be said for longing and drawn out angst, I actually want to see them as a couple at some point, not just one final kiss end scene.
It ends on a cliff hanger again, some questions are answered but more are brought up, and there is an amazing redemption arc.

50 Chapters and a Cliffhanger

I hate cliffhangers especially after reading 50 chapters without a clear ending does not make for an exciting read nor am I overly excited to wait for the next book.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***

Amazing as always! I really shouldn't expect anything less from these two authors! Put them together and they are magical! Normally, the second book in a series doesn't compare to the first but this was just as good and keeps you on your toes.

So as you all know, I read alot of books throughout the year and this year was no different. However, this year I have been in so many book funks! I love so many books but sometimes they start to blur together and make me not want to read a book for some time. This happened to me right before I read the first book in this series but I am so happy I did because this book got me out of that funk! Instead it made me want to read more books just like this.

FYI~ Read cautiously! This book ends with a major cliff hanger and just gave me a major book hangover! We pick up right where Nova, her sisters, and her demon wolves left off! I am so happy we got to see so much more of Roman. I am totally swooning over Roman and want him for myself!

If you have not grabbed your copy yet, I suggest you do! I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Shocked and speachless!!! 🤯🖤

... That is how I finished this book: with my mind blown and no words to describe the epicness of this book!!! 😍🖤🔥
I was not prepared for the intense and wild ride this book is, for all the angst and heartache, for the darkness and pain... but also, the family and loyalty, the pack and the bonding, the new love and new hope... 🤗🥰
Nova is another level of fierce and bada€€... and Rune, OMFG, I want to lick him all over!!!... He may compete for #1 book boyfriend against Brace, that f'ing hot and perfect he is!!! #mine 🤤🔥
I just need to recover from that damn cliffhanger!!! 😩... but no regrets here, this just means the next book is going to hurt more and I will enjoy every minute of it, can't wait!!! ❤

I've been dying to read this since book one came out and ended so dramatically. Little did I know that Jaymin would top it and make this even more amazing than the first. I loved the twists and turns!!

And like the last book, I loved the strong bond that the pack have. They're honestly the cutest, even as they extend that to others along the way.

Also Roman and Nova are just the cutest couple ever. We all need another half who will fuck shit up if you're in trouble.

Keep up the amazing work!! The release date for Book 3 is honestly going in my diary, I'm not waiting a day later to read this

Demon Pack: Elimination by Jaymin Eve and Everly Frost

“I’m trapped with no way out, kneeling at the gates of Hell, surrounded by my enemies, but I refuse to bow my head to any of them.”

Readers. I’m going to be real with you. You’re not ready!! This second part of Nova and Roman’s story is explosive—filled with heart-pounding action and twists that will leave you reeling. And the spice I yearned for in the first book is generously sprinkled throughout. So. 👏🏻Here. 👏🏻For it!👏🏻

“Having a piece of Roman that no one else has feels like a gift—one I never expected to receive—even if that piece will be the darkest part of him.”

The character arcs for our two main characters are in full motion in Elimination and are only outshined by the development of the relationship building between Nova and Roman. At the end of book one I almost felt as betrayed as Nova—but could feel myself learning to trust Roman again as we (Nova and I, lol) learned his story.

“We’re all creatures of nightmares.”

The best part of this book was watching Nova learn to trust in HERSELF. To love ALL of the facets of who she is and what she’s capable of. I can’t wait to read Demon Pack: Eternal. Fingers crossed it drops soon!

Elimination packed one hell of a punch! We pick up right where we left off and Nova is grappling to find her ground in this new realm. Her sisters are now at risk and it's up to Nova to save their lives, and hopefully her own. She's got a tentative truce with Roman as he's unfortunately the only one around that she can trust. However, they do find their footing and Roman's true emotions come to the surface. This book is all about Nova and her relationships as she furthers her pack and their bonds. She spends a lot of time growing and unlock the part of herself that she's pushed down this far. There's a massive cliffhanger at the end and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Oh my goodness this instalment was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The brutality of the trials and the character development throughout for not only our MC, but the side characters… a review can’t do it justice.

The writing was addictive and the plot exciting as is was heartbreaking. Learning more about Roman and his story had my heart hurting so bad. I adore the sense of family and pack that both Everly and Jaymin’s books capture and this book was just out of this world in every aspect.

Ok so the cliffy is a killer and I did not at all see that ending coming! I need book 3 now!!!! D:

Wow! What would you do for family is the meaning I take away from this book. A twist at the end I didn’t expect that was a cliffhanger but I can’t wait for the next book. Roman or Rune we can now call him is so darn sexy in this book and I absolutely love Nova in this one when I wasn’t too sure about her strength in the first book. Really great read!
The heat factor is definitely up there and i love it!

“Roman’s desperate roar reached me, his strong wings beating the air.”

What is the plot twisting cliffhanger did I just read? Holy heck. That was epic. These characters and this storyline has me internally bouncing around like a kid on Christmas. I didn’t expect the plot twist AT ALL. And usually I can spot them coming. This one completely blind sided me. Buckle up, y’all are in for a ride!

Soooo Good, can't wait for book three!

I ran out of pages...well there's a cliffhanger and it was soooo not what I was expecting, I did not see that coming the wait for book 3 is now on.

Everyone loves an ass kicking FMC and that's what Nova is, I love that everything she does is to protect her family. I'm totally in love with Roman and her demon wolves, I mean there is nothing not to love about this book series.

This one has lots of action, and there's still a lot of mystery surrounding Nova's father that I'm hoping will be resolved in the next book.

I'm totally in love with every new animal that Nova has met and want them all to be in her pack and go everywhere with her lol.

Can't wait for the next one, hoping Mal and Tal are going to get some happiness by the end of the series too, they so deserve it.

I was afraid of this book, since I am really not into books revolving around trials. And this was looking like it was going to be exactly that type of book. Spoiler alert, it was. But this is Jaymin Eve, so I knew there would be more to it than that and I found myself enjoying this book despite the trials troupe.

First, let me start by saying I’m AM aware that I say this almost every time Everly puts out a new series (especially with Jaymin Eve), but……. I freaking love the Demon Pack series!!!! And Elimination may be my favorite book ever! I loved everything about it. I’m a sucker for a badass female MC. Throw in an affinity for animals and a hot, badass, overly protective male counterpart and I’m all in. But Elimination is in a league of its own. Unique story line… check, world building and characters extremely well fleshed out… check, exceptional writing… check! I love Nova and Rune but it’s crazy to me how Everly and Jaymin were able to flesh out the animal characters so well that have absolutely fallen in love with them as well. And then… that ending!!!!! Totally blindsided me. I can’t wait for book 3! Come on ladies, channel your inner superwomen and crank that 3rd book out!

Absolutely AMAZING!!!!

Just when I didn't think that this writing duo couldn't do better they do! This book is so freaking awesome, I honestly don't feel like I have words to express the amazingness. Nova deals with so much and is such an inspiration because she never gives up no matter what she is faced with. I loved the moments or snarky humor, and swoony moments with Roman/Rune. Now, let's talk about that ending. Talk about traumatizing! I need more NOW!!! Highly recommend this series! Read it NOW!
