New York Times bestselling author Meghan March continues the utterly addictive Legend Trilogy in House of Scarlett.
Gabriel Legend is unlike any other man I’ve ever met. He came into my life like a hurricane, shattering all my assumptions and preconceived notions. I wasn’t prepared for him. I wasn’t prepared for any of it. But life doesn’t wait until you’re ready. Whatever happens next, I know one thing for certain. I will never be the same Scarlett I was before I met him.
House of Scarlett is the second book in the Legend Trilogy and should be read after The Fall of Legend, book one in the utterly addictive Legend Trilogy.
Making the jump from corporate lawyer to romance author was a leap of faith that New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Meghan March will never regret. With over thirty titles published, she has sold millions of books in nearly a dozen languages to fellow romance-lovers around the world. A nomad at heart, she can currently be found in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, living her happily ever after with her real-life alpha hero.. She loves hearing from her readers at meghanmarchbooks@gmail.com.
This is the second instalment of the Legend series and once again I found the story to drag for a large part of the book. I actually feel like this trilogy might have been better all in one book. This is an assumption on my part because the end of this book had a big cliffhanger and I am pretty positive that book three is going to be quite the finale! In fact, all of the questions that have come up in the first two books are going to be answered in the last instalment!
I am more than hopeful for the conclusion to this series. To be honest this wasn’t the easiest trilogy to get through.. I stuck with it because I have always loved Meghan March’s work.. this is the first time that I have been somewhat bored through a big portion of her trilogy. Fingers crossed that I get my explosive ending!
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙❤️💚💜 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: 🙂🥰😎🤩😀 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Scarlett Priest - she grew up wealthy in New York. Her supermodel mother died five years ago, and Scarlett inherited everything including her fashion house which she sold. Scarlett also owns her own shop called Curated where she sells one-of-a-kind items each week and by opening time every Friday, there is a line down the block of customers waiting to get in. Though her father would rather she go into his business. So much so that Scarlett had gone out with Chadwick, a man who worked at her father's company for far too long just to be included in her father's life.
The Hero:Gabriel Legend - he grew up poor in Biloxi, Mississippi. When he was a teen, he fell in love with a girl who could sing. They had big plans for moving up in the world. He would own a fancy nightclub where she could sing every night. Though there were people in Biloxi who didn’t like people who wanted to move up from their station and he got on the bad side of one of those men. That man tried to kill him, ended up killing his girl and shooting her brother, Bump in the head, thinking he was Gabriel. He and Bump left Mississippi for New Jersey, changed names and he saved money from underground fighting to buy his first club. Now he owns a legitimate club, called Legend, though it has struggled after someone opened fire during his grand opening.
The Story: Scarlett is also a social media influencer and has been using her celebrity and influence to help Gabriel fill his club with people since they were not inclined to try out a club that had such bad press from opening night. While helping him, they immediately felt a connection for each other and neither of them could stop thinking about the other. Though Legend is afraid to keep her close because he knows that someday his past will catch up with him and the man that tried to kill him will come for him. Especially since he has been in the media after his club opening.
The characters are great. Scarlett has a slew of friends that are fun and terrific and love her. Legend has Bump, who is mentally handicapped due to being shot in the head, but he is so funny and endearing. There is also Legend’s best friend Q, who is kind of a downer at times, but looks out for his friend. Q’s sister Zoey, who works at the club and more. I also loved how Legend called Scarlett Ladybug, and she kept trying on different nicknames to call him, having trouble finding the right one.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. These are two of my favorite narrators and both did an amazing job. The only thing that would have made it better was if it would have been in duet narration.
Meghan March lured me into this series with a false sense of security and had me thinking the cliffhangers wouldn't be too bad. The previous book, The Fall of Legend, didn't end in a way that had me ripping out my hair and screaming for more, which is definitely what usually happens with her cliffhangers. But then we have House of Scarlett where the ending of the book had me ferociously hitting my kindle trying to get to the next page so I could find out what happens next. Spoiler alert, there was no next page and I will be going crazy until I can get my hands on the conclusion of Legend and Scarlett's story.
In this installment of the trilogy we get to learn a little more about Legend and actually got into his head a bit more than in the previous book. It had me loving him so hard and rooting for him to get Scarlett back. They were amazing together and the mix of his hardened personality with her softer one made for such a fun read.
Bottom line, I can't wait to see how this story will end but if this book is anything to go by, I know it will be a brilliant conclusion.

Even if I don’t know how to be what she needs, I’m going to learn.
Know what I love more than a great alpha male? An alpha male that knows how to grovel. And after the epic f-up that Legend makes at the end of book one, you best believe that I wanted a good grovel. And boy did he deliver!
While the trilogy starts off slow, book two brought a much needed one two punch. Pun intended. Gabriel is working through all of the ways that he messed up with Scarlett. You get more insight into his tragic past while all of the puzzle pieces begin to click together even more.
We really get a deeper look into Scarlett in this one. I found myself much more connected to her character in this one than the previous book. Don't get me wrong, she was fierce in the last book, but there's something so endearing about seeing her work through the pain of what happened with Gabe along with plenty of daddy issues. You get to see her soft and vulnerable side here, as much as you see Gabe's, and I loved that.
The chemistry between her and Gabe is absolutely incendiary in this book. I swear it just gets more and more potent and I couldn't get enough of them. Gave really shows his sweet side here and it was the perfect balance to his badass alpha vibes. There's still plenty of unanswered questions before the jaw dropping conclusion, that left me downright ravenous for the next book.

Woot woot! Meghan March brings so much alpha male goodness in House of Scarlett! Gabriel and Scarlett were fiery, passionate and addicting. I loved seeing the progression of their relationship and seeing their connection come to life! Such a fantastic story!
After that cliffhanger ending in Fall of Legend, I was consumed with Gabriel and Scarlett's relationship. I loved how March delivered greater insight into how in sync this couple actually was. Their chemistry was through the roof explosive and showcased how much they meant to one another. But this wouldn't be a Meghan March story without adrenaline pumping suspense and and an edgy cliffhanger. Now I am desperately waiting for book three! Bring on The Fight for Forever!
House of Scarlet continues the story of Scarlett Priest and Gabriel Legend. At the end of The Fall of Legend, I was champing at the bit. If I could get my hands on Gabriel, I would have tried to shake sense into him. How could he have done that to Scarlett? I only wanted to shake some sense into him, her friends, however, wanted to do much worse. I admired their loyalty. They always had her back no matter what.
Although this installment was not as exciting as the first, it was still a good read. Gabriel and Scarlett’s relationship was the highlight of House of Scarlett. Their intense chemistry sizzled and burned. Despite their differences in social standing, they were perfect for each other.
It was evident from the beginning that Gabriel had a good heart, but it was in this installment that his kind, caring and protective nature shone. He had a hard life growing up, but he was determined not to allow his harsh upbringing to prevent him from achieving his dream. However, events from his past, which had the potential to destroy his future, refused to stay buried.
Scarlett has her share of issues. I felt her pain and my heart hurt for her. I could not relate to her pain, as I never had that experience, but I knew it must have been hard. Her strength during it all was admirable. It helped that she had her friends’ support.
The story had me pins on needles, as I knew that a bombshell was imminent and being familiar with the author’s work, I expected it to occur at the end. What I did not know was how it would unfold. She did not disappoint and now I am champing at the bit once again, as I need to know how Gabriel plans to get Scarlett and himself out of this precarious position.
Conclusion / Recommendation Once again, Meghan March delivered an engaging story that left me waiting with bated breath for the final installment.
Gabriel Legend wanted Scarlett in a bad way, however when he saw her in all white like an angel that had fallen from the sky he could not resist anymore. Gabriel & Scarlett let go of all their exhibitions and tore at each other right there in the club beyond the 1 way mirror overlooking Legends. but as soon as Gabriel realize what he had done and Scarlett admitted she wanted to try he dismissed her like she was trash. Gabriel had secrets he didn't want to reveal to Scarlett nor put her in danger so he let her go. For the next couple of weeks Gabriel & Scarlett life was chaotic without each other, when they were together chemistry was off the charts.
Legend was loyal and kept his circle small cause he didn't trust most people. Because of a tragedy it brought Gabriel & Scarlett back together and Gabriel decided he wouldn't leave her again and would protect her at all cost and never left her side. That is until the night Gabriel past came back to hunt him down.
Love Meghan March's books she always add old characters in them, Creighton in Dirty Billionaire & Cannon from Black Sheep are investor in Legends nice job on adding them in story line.
I found Book 1 in this Trilogy really slow so I was so relived and happy to see Book 2 picks up pace quite quickly.. All the little pieces start to come together as the story really starts to unfold. Gabriella made a big stuff up at the end of book 1 and it was so refreshing to see an big alpha male put his ego aside and worked hard for Scarlets forgiveness.
Whilst book one set the scene of the story, gave us an idea about who these characters are, book 2 showed real character development in Scarlett and Gabriel. For two so very different people in a world where their relationship would never/ should never work out they sure have hot chemistry. Scarlett’s weaknesses strengthen Gabriel’s and vice versa they seemingly balance out one another. Whilst Book 2 ends on another cliffhanger, it’s not a gut punch, end of the world, cry yourself to sleep one. You get a good indication that a happily ever after is still in the cards for Book 3 The Fight For Forever. I look forward to see what Meghan has up her sleeve next.

This was an enjoyable read, one that I definitely liked more than the first.
I felt like we really got to know these two a bit more and their chemistry felt more authentic. The steam between them was upped in book two as well, although, I did feel at times that the words that come out of Scarlett’s mouth in the bedroom didn’t always match who she was as a character. But, hey, maybe that is what Legend does to a girl. I do like them as characters, though, and I do like them together as a couple.
I will say that my favorite part of the book is the group of girl friends that Scarlett has. I adore them all and how they support each other
The plot overall is enjoyable, and maybe coming from another author it would be amazing, but Meghan March has always been one of those authors for me who has kept me on the edge of my seat, racing through the pages to find out what will happen next, and this one isn’t. The pacing is fine. The story is written well, but I’m finding it to be predictable, which is a word I would never ever associate with Meghan March. So while there is a cliffhanger, it doesn’t leave me on edge dying for more. It isn’t an OMG, what?! Why are there more pages type of cliffy.
I do like this story overall, and maybe I’m just suffering from MM high expectations, but I really wanted this series to blow me away, and while I liked book 2 more than 1, it was still just enjoyable.
All I can say is WOW. Scarlett and Legend were so good. It was heartbreaking to see why he was the way he was in his past life but it helped you understand him better. When he realized that he was the man for her, watching Gabriel and Scarlett’s relationship grow in this book was wonderful. The chemistry between them was off the charts and the loyalty between them was so good. There is another cliffhanger but it will be worth it when book 3 comes out because if it is anything like books 1 and 2, it will be one heck of a love story and I am all for it. Ms. March knows how to write such wonderful stories and characters that will pull you in and you won’t ever want to leave their world. All I can say is that she never leaves you disappointed. Love her work.
House the Scarlett picks up right where The Fall of Legend ends. I found the story more fast paced and also more intriguing. There is more backstory to Gabriel and Scarlett and there is a better understanding of these two as individuals. But seeing them as a couple is filled with sweet and sexy moments that makes you smile and want to root for them.
The ending was quite jaw dropping and it leaves me excited for The Fight for Forever. There are questions that need to be answered but I’m looking forward to twists and turns, suspenseful moments and of course, a happy ending for Gabe and Scarlett.

House of Scarlett is awesome. It focuses on Gabriel and Scarlett as a couple as well as who they are as individuals. It's quite enjoyable. Their tension, hot sex scenes and a cliffy that has me so anxious for next book that I will be counting down the weeks until I can get my hands on it. I have a fierce need to see what happens next. If you love Contemporary romance with a bit of suspense, twists and turns I definitely recommend this series.
Oh my word..... WOW JUST WOW!!!! Holy smokes was this read full of moments that had my heart racing because of these two amazing characters, Legend and Scarlett! I loved the development of their relationship that was chalked full of explosive chemistry, steamy encounters and an undeniable bond. I tried to read this book as slowly as possible because I didn't want it to end; however, once I started I was immersed in the story and unwilling to part with it. If you thought the cliffy in Fall of Legend had you tied up in knots, prepare to be left stunned, dazed and absolutely 100% speechless!
I am loving this trilogy. I can’t get enough of this slow burn. We are truly getting to understand who these characters are and see their relationship grow. These two have chemistry that is off the charts. Not only did I swoon (multiple times), but butterflies have taken up residence in my belly. This is not like a lot of March’s books with action around every corner, this is a slower build. While we aren’t getting the high level action, there are still surprises and plenty of shocking moments. In true March fashion, we are left dangling off a cliff and by heart is still racing! I can’t wait to see where things go from here with so many elements in play. I’ll be counting down the days until The Fight for Forever releases.
“What was I thinking? That somehow we could come from completely different worlds and have a fairy-tale romance, complete with a happily-ever-after?”
“I’m not what you need, ladybug, but I’ll learn.”
Meghan March has done it again!! I don’t know about you guys, but ever since I finished The Fall of Legend, I’ve been dying to know what would happen for Legend & Scarlett next. And I gotta tell you, Meghan March does not disappoint. Once again, she’s given us a story that will leave us breathless and an ending that will have us dying for more….
Picking up where The Fall of Legend left off, House of Scarlett gives us more insight on both Legend and Scarlett, but also gives us some of the answers we’ve been desperate for. We get to see why Legend is the way that he is and why he treated Scarlett as badly as he did. I’m not saying that what he did was right, because I totally wanted to slap him, but what I’m saying is that I understand him better now and couldn’t help but root for him to make things right. Life has offered Legend a second chance and if he’s smart, he’ll fight for Scarlett no matter how high the cost.
The road to happily ever after for these two isn’t going to be an easy one. There is definitely going to be a lot of hurdles in their way. That being said, Legend and Scarlett are a force to be reckoned with. Not only do they light the pages on fire, but they are both tougher than they are given credit for. They have a fierce and loyal group of friends backing them up and I know that there is nothing these two can’t get through together as long as they give it their all.
There is so much I’d love to say about House of Scarlett, and I am seriously biting my tongue because I don’t want to spoil a second of this story for you. You’re just gonna have to jump in and experience House of Scarlett for yourself. I promise the ride will be totally worth it. Scarlett & Gabe’s story is filled with second chances, a well developed relationship, forgiveness, taking risks, and smoking hot chemistry. Seriously, these two are a scorching hot inferno, that I just can’t enough of.
House of Scarlett is a fantastic addition to this series. It gives me the answers I was looking for from the first book, along with some brand new questions. I have some suspicions about certain things, but for now, I’m just going along for the ride. It should come as no surprise that House of Scarlett ends with a pretty spectacular cliffhanger. The ending definitely left me stunned, shocked and a whole lot more. I am on pins and needles just wondering how things are going to come together in the next book, and am so glad that the wait The Fight for Forever won’t be too long. In the end, all I can say is fasten your seat belts readers, you are in for one heck of a ride. I hope you enjoy House of Scarlett as much as I did!

The man is quite caring, “you feeling okay? You want to sit down? I saw you have a shit ton of different kinds of tea. I can make you a cup, but you’re going to have to tell me which kind , because I got stuck between Lemon Berry Vanilla Swirl and Fall Pumpkin Chai Spice. And just for the record, I have a ***k, so I don’t know what either of those things taste like.” I liked this installment and I can't wait to see where Gabe and Scarlett's story goes.
We come from two different worlds. I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower. I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch. Loved it, the story line was interesting and different and the characters were a wonderful mix of sweet and innocent and hot alpha and the sex was steamy Cannot wait for the next book in this series.
This is a girl that WANTS MORE RIGHT NOW. Deep cleansing breath...in...out. Okay. Book two has us catching up with everything but also adding and layering new events and players. It’s as addicting as it is informative and just as in book one I am hopelessly in love with one Gabriel GD Legend. Ugh. Now I countdown the days until I get to experience my favorite couple of Ms. March’s.
Wow, what a roller coaster of a read! I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I wasn’t sure what to expect after how the first book in the trilogy ended, but this one surprised me somewhat. I was very happy with the plot, and I loved watching Scarlett and Legend’s relationship unfold across the pages. There were some pretty intense moments, but I won’t say what happened. That cliffhanger ending made me want the next book in my hands now though.
I’d never go for a guy like Legend in real life, but I can definitely appreciate him as a book boyfriend. Scarlett grew on me more and more; I loved how she was finally coming into her own, and standing up for herself. I also liked seeing more of Flynn, and even Scarlett’s friends. We didn’t see as much of Bump, Q, and Roux as we did in the last book, but I’m sure we’ll see more of them in the final book.
I highly recommend this trilogy if you like MMA/fighting, a bit of a “wrong side of the tracks” love story, and some suspense. Just be prepared for drama and feels along the way!
The sequel to Scarlett and Legend's story is as good as the first part, and it turns out that my expectations for this book were high since that ending of the previous book left me open-mouthed. But I think the author did a great job here and kept me staring at the book to the last page.House of Scarlett is a quick and addictive read where we could see a little more of the relationship of these characters, which made me fall in love with them even more, and I can't wait for the third and final book of this addictive trilogy.
⭐️ 5 "Bossy" Stars ⭐️ I didn’t think I could love The Legend Trilogy more than I already did, but after reading House of Scarlett I only have praises for this incredible story! Seriously, it’s so gripping and full of feels!
Gabriel Legend is sincerely a remarkable hero! With his past as a fighter he’s so intimidating to people and a little feared, but he shows that he’s so much more than this hard exterior. He’s devoted to Scarlett and it’s absolutely endearing to witness. He made me weak in the knees with all his tender actions toward his woman. He’s a true alpha though, with moments of fierce protectiveness and his filthy mouth that I just couldn’t get enough. Scarlett is a driven heroine that complete perfectly Gabriel. As much as she always wants to show that she’s strong, she also displays a more vulnerable facet of her personality. It doesn’t mean that she doesn’t go for her dreams with aplomb! Oh no! That woman is ambitious and doesn’t know the word “no”!
This book is all about the building of Scarlett and Legend’s romantic relationship. This couple is so intense and combustible! They shared moments of passion that are simply explosive and just wow! Their connection is truly beautiful and so potent! They navigate these new feelings, learning to trust and learn from their mistakes.
This story wouldn’t be as good without the wonderful supporting characters! I’m in love with Flynn! That girl is simply so charismatic and I hope to see he get her own series soon!!! There’s a little bit of suspense with the plot of the first novel still in progress, but mostly this second installment is mostly centered on the protagonists and their emotions and transformation. That ending was so unexpected and left me speechless! I need to get my hands on the final novel, The Fight for Forever! Seriously, I need some answers!!!

When you read a Meghan March book, always expect fast paced and intense moments clad in a nail biting story. Always expect interesting characters that leave you breathless. Just like House of Scarlett, Meghan March leave you panting for your next fix.
Damn you, Meghan March. What do you do this to me? My heart is reeling. My mind is a mess. Why? Well, House of Scarlett took my heart, beat it to her bloody pulp and crushed it. Sounds morbid. I know. Thanks to Meghan March, I am a goner. I still love her books so no love lost there. I just angry at her right now. Unputdownable. Sensual. Intrigue. Heart of Scarlet is a bubbly spicy read with a captivating story of danger, passion and trust. A sexy read with heart burning story. Meghan March’s writing will pull into a soul trapping book that makes your heart fall in love with her words and characters that bring life and colour into your life. Gosh, my heart is forever rocked.
Let me tell you, Legend and Scarlett’s chemistry makes me swoon. I want to squeeze them into my heart so much. They bring so much life with their scorching romance and fever pitch chemistry. I freaking love them with my whole heart. I can’t wait for their conclusion.
What a cliffhanger. I am still a bit angry with Meghan March. I am now antsy. I am so looking forward to the conclusion of The Legend Trilogy.

Scarlett Priest & Gabriel Legend are back in part two of this trilogy and begins right where The Fall of Legend left off. We get more backstory into Gabriel’s past to understand why he is so tortured & my heart broke for what he has been through. Can Legend make things right with Scarlett? “She tugged at parts of me that have been buried for years.” He might get the chance when she is the one to need some help. Will his club be able to make money finally or will he have to turn to the one thing he said he would never do again? Will enemies from the past finally get what they want?Who will come out on top? I really enjoyed the dynamic in this book and I loved all the conversations with Bump, they are so sweet and innocent. Oh and Scarlett’s sister, lol, Flynn is a spitfire! They have a connection that is unlike any other that makes you swoon for more. This does end in yet another major cliffhanger and book three is coming soon. Told in dual POV
House of Scarlett blew my book-loving mind out of the stratosphere! Gabriel and Scarlett’s chemistry is absolutely explosive 🧨, Fall of Legend lit 🔥 the fuse, House of Scarlett kept it burning and turned it molten lava ☄️ and I have a feeling Fight for Forever is going to set it off like a rocket 🚀 to outer space .
I cannot wait for Fight for Forever, my heart is literally in my throat, my stomach is in knots and I am on the edge of my seat hanging off a cliff waiting for the final book in this amazing trilogy.
Earth shattering, absolutely earth shattering, I hope everyone is ready for this!!!! I have a feeling I am going to be white knuckling my seat until January!!!!
