This is more of a novelty or souvenir cookbook. I doubt very few people will actually make these recipes. Every recipe that requires frying calls for 48 Oz of cooking oil - even when you’re only cooking a solitary boneless chicken breast. Recipe servings range from 1 to 15! Kielbasa & potato pierogi has you making the pierogi from scratch (doesn’t tell you how many it’ll make but accompanying photo shows 2 in pic and recipe is for 2 servings) and pan frying 5 slices of kielbasa. Which diner gets the extra slice? There are photos but not of all recipes.

Who knew that EPCOT was a center of culinary excellence? The author grew up in the Disney neighborhood and has created a social media following with her recreations of some of EPCOT's finest offerings. Since the park is divided by countries, food from all around the world is featured, from Menchi Katsu Sliders to Pomegranate-Chili Crispy Cauliflower to Frozen Red Stag Lemonade. Back matter includes a map to all of the food locations in EPCOT with a list of recipes included in the cookbook Recommended even if you've never stepped foot in EPCOT. I've definitely put the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival on my bucket list!

Most of the recepies do not work. And half of the recipies are fried (which does make sense bc this is a Disney cookbook). Most recipes were a waste of my money cuz I had to just throw them away cuz they didn't work. !!!!!

As a Disneylander who’s never been to EPCOT this cookbook was fun piece of at home Disney magic. The recipes in this cookbook won’t be used for your everyday life but they’re fun for dinner with friends or a Disney movie night. The recipes come from across the EPCOT Pavilions and so there’s a decent amount of diversity in this small cookbook. There’s a park map in the back of the book so if you wanted to you could go go left and start at Mexico, go right and start at Canada, or just hope around since you’re cooking from home and not walking in the Florida humidity.
The recipes themselves seem fairly easy to make for someone who cooks regularly. There’s definitely more then a couple that require you to have vegetable oil for frying. A majority of the recipes call for your typical ingredients and then there’s recipes that call for smelt roe, lingonberry jam, and canned jackfruit. Some of the recipes include simplification hacks, EPCOT park tips, and cooking techniques. My main complaint about the cookbook is that the recipes don’t start until page 45 which considering the book is only 237 pages long this seems like a lot of beginning page space being devoted to kitchen essentials and other introductory information.
I made the Mango Gingerita originally from the China Pavilion located in the drinks section of the cookbook. From what I know of the alcohol based drinks you can get at the Disneyland Resort this drink tastes like a typical Disney drink meaning it was good but definitely juice heavy and not as strong as I would want it to be. However since we’re making these at home that was easily fixed by slightly adjusting the vodka and rum ratios. I definitely plan on making more drinks from the book and trying out some if the desserts.
Overall I would recommend the book if you’re looking to have a little fun in the kitchen or add some Disney magic to your home life.

Crazy high gas prices and travel costs shelving your summer vacation plans? Use The Unofficial Disney Parks EPCOT Cookbook to travel the world from your kitchen.
With recipes as diverse as the Lobster Poutine from the Canada Pavilion to the Froot Loops Shake from the International Flower & Garden Festival, there is food for every taste bud and every cooking level. There are some surprises. Who knew that the Steamed Asian Impossible Dumplings, which look delicious, are served in the Canada Pavilion? My personal favorite is the Sipping Chocolate Flight from the International Festival of the Arts that uses three different types of chocolate chips. Flights can be something other than alcoholic!
Most of the recipes are relatively simple to make. A lot of them are fried treats so it’s probably a blessing no nutritional information is provided. Do you ask for the calorie count when at a Disney Park? Of course not!
My sole complaint is not every recipe includes a picture. I would also like the convenient recipe list by pavilion to include page numbers so the index would not also have to be consulted. However, both are minor quibbles.
If you feel like something fun and different for dinner, pick up The Unofficial Disney Parks EPCOT Cookbook. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars!
Thanks to Adams Media and NetGalley for a digital review copy of the book.

If you love EPCOT and World Showcase, this is the book for you! Featuring great recipes from all over the 'World, this book is a fun way to challenge yourself and make something new, or to help you recreate old favorites. With dozens of great recipes, it's hard to figure out which one to try first!
I absolutely loved it. While it contains several fan -favorites from the different festivals EPCOT runs throughout the year, I'd love to see Festival-specific cookbooks and I hope they're in the works!

It's a nice-looking cookbook with an interesting range of recipes, certainly some that appeal to me. I think there are options here that might be fun for events or parties--special occasions of some kind--in some cases because a recipe's yield is so weird/large, in others because the recipe is so weirdly involved and labor-intensive on a per-serving basis. I am not convinced this is a cookbook for everyday eating but worth checking out anyway if there is something you particularly like eating at Epcot.

Many good representations of things you could find at EPCOT to buy and consume, many are of the special festivals that EPCOT has.
Sadly - some errors in the book should make you afraid to trust it, page 118 had a recipe for SPICY PINEAPPLE HOT DOGS, and nowhere does it list pineapple in the ingredient list, or in the description of how to make it.

Same problems as the other books by this author in this series...not quite enough photos and some that are just too complicated for the average home kitchen. But there are some delicious looking treats in this book, and some of the favorites from some of the other books. Might be worth it, since it's too expensive to go there in real life.

I love this cookbook! It makes it easy to “cook around the world”. I love picking a country, then making a few of the recipes from that country. The book is well organized and visually appealing. The recipes are easy to follow and don’t use super obscure ingredients or cooking methods. Great for personal use, or as a gift.

Another fun Disney book. Anyone who’s been to Epcot knows it’s all about the food. I actually had one of my most memorable meals there, a lobster bisque in the French pavilion. The recipes here are a little more complex. I wish there were a few more pics in the book. Another great $6 find at BnN.

The cocktail recipes are fun, and techniques from their basic tomato soup recipe improved the one I make regularly.

I liked how the recipes were organised by type (appetisers, entrees, desserts, etc.). We've made several recipes and have enjoyed them.

Don't read it while you're hungry. It has pictures and you'll be tempted to ravage your kitchen after finishing the book.

Fun, but not sure if they’re good recipes or not. We got this from the library and copies some recipes down, so we’ll see.
