The Beach House Trilogy #3

Beach House Wedding

Rate this book
Penelope Rider has transformed her uncle’s utilitarian beach house in Seahaven into a beautiful venue for intimate weddings, but she’s struggling to promote her new venture and her money is running out. When she offers a steep discount to a social media celebrity, who books the house for her ceremony, reception and the week leading up to her big day, Penelope hopes she’s finally gotten the break she needs—until a handsome stranger shows up claiming he booked the house over a year ago for a fishing vacation that same week.

It’s been a rough year for Westin Abbott the fourth, Wes to his friends. Just when he’s ready to start his own fishing charter business, his parents boot his sister from the family telecommunications business and demand Wes step in as CEO—right now. He’s agreed to take on the job, but not until after one last fishing trip with his favorite guide. He’s come back to Seahaven every year for a decade, but when he arrives this time he finds Fisherman’s Point is now EdgeCliff Manor, and a stranger is running the show. A very pretty stranger. She’s filled his quiet getaway with a raucous wedding party, and she claims she knows nothing of his longstanding booking.

Penelope can’t believe there’s an outstanding reservation left from her uncle’s fishing charter days. She’s got only one room left to offer Wes—the spare bedroom in her attic apartment. When he asks if there’s any way she can take him fishing on her uncle’s old boat, it’s hard to say no when one bad review could tank her business. Now she’s fishing in the morning and dealing with a bridezilla and her entourage the rest of the day.

Can she possibly pull this off?

Or will she lose the beach house she loves so much?

This was a terrific end to the Beach House series and I truly hope we see more of these characters! Technically, I suppose this book can be read on it's own but I highly recommend reading the trilogy in order since the characters all make appearances in each book. Not to mention all of the books are highly enjoyable, as are Cora's other books! Penolope has finally finished the renovations on her building and is ready to first her first wedding. Too bad that wedding is for a celebrity bridezilla , so she's definitely not prepared for the drama that entails. When unexpected guest shows up, will that just be another headache or a needed ally for Penelope? I truly hope this is not the last we see of these characters, I especially hope the story of the Castle is soon to come!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining and romantic series by Cora Seton. I loved Penelope and Wes's love story.

Penelope loves the home and fishing boat she inherited from her uncle even with with bad feelings between the two when he died. Now, Penelope has turned Fisherman's Point into EdgeCliff Manor - a boutique wedding destination. But it quickly becomes clear she made a horrible mistake booking the entire house to a social media celebrity and not fully reading the contract she signed. Things are only made more difficult when a very handsome and unexpected guest arrives that booked a room with her uncle a year ago. The only room left is a guest room on the third floor in her private quarters, and with her bank account running on fumes she can't afford a single negative review.

Weston Abbott needs to get away from his controlling parents who are manipulating him into becoming CEO of Abbott Enterprises. This fishing vacation will probably be the last one he gets. Fishing has always been his passion, but it appears his dream of owning his own fishing charter business is quickly drifting out to sea. But, arriving he finds his buddy has died and a beautiful stranger has transformed the old fishing beach house into a soft and romantic wedding venue.

I did struggle a lot with the excessive damage done to Edgecliff Manor and that Penelope didn't fully read the contract or stop the travesty that Olivia's team was causing. But then again, that was the premise for the entire book.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

I love reading Cora Setons' work! Her style is captivating, enchanting us with words that bring her tales to life. As I read, I can picture the details in my mind, and tend to get swept away with her intriguing story! Her characters are down-to-earth and believable, and she tends to set a pace that is comfortable, but definitely keeps you enthralled, needing to keep reading until the end!
In this, the third episode in the new Seahaven series, we have the pleasure of meeting Wes, as he stumbles onto the mayhap going on at what he believes is Fisherman's Point, and where he will find his old fishing buddy, Dan! What he finds, or rather who he finds, is Penelope Rider, and what is now called EdgeCliff Manor! Needing this "escape" from his life, Wes is not willing to be turned around, and pretty much begs Penelope to let him stay, even after threats of exclusivity from the queen of drama, Amber!
Will they manage to sneak him in and keep him hidden away, and will they ever be able to see what is right there in front of them? With both of them haunted by their pasts, will they ever be able to see the future?
If you haven't read the first two stories in this gem of a series, I recommend you do so before reading this one, even though it can be easily read as a standalone! I can guarantee you won't regret having started with the first book!
I was gifted a copy of this book, and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.

Penelope and Wes are two peas in a pod. They love the ocean and both have a dream to run fishing charters. For now Penelope has renovated her late Uncle’s home in order to host weddings. What she didn’t expect was Bridezilla and her entourage to be her first wedding. What else could go wrong? Throw in Wes, an unexpected guest of her late uncle’s coming for a fishing holiday, Bridezilla’s entourage taking apart all her hard work to get the house how they want it and you’ve got absolute chaos. Taking pity on Wes, Penelope allows him to share her private space for the week and even manages to sneak in fishing time. Falling in love with Penelope wasn’t supposed to be an option. As their relationship grows, Wes realises more than anything he wants to be the guy that makes her life better. It’s easier said than done. Between helping Penelope with Bridezilla and dealing with his own family issues, time is running out for both of them. When it comes down to it he will have to choose what’s more important – his duty to his family or his dreams and a life with Penelope. This is a real gem of a story. It’s a heart warming, emotional, chaotic return to Seahaven where not only do we catch up with old friends and memories, we have a new romance and get to be involved in the ups and downs of hosting a celebrity wedding. It was a brilliant story and an entertaining read.

First of all – while this is a standalone, you will enjoy it far more if you read the other books first. One thing at which Cora Seton excels is creating worlds for her characters to inhabit, and she’s done this again with the Beach House trilogy. The last in the series, this is Penelope’s story, and she has some … interesting … experiences as she opens EdgeCliff Manor. Wes is one of those experiences – he has a longstanding booking, but she’s booked the whole guest house out to a nightmare, I mean a wedding planner and bridezilla deluxe. And, you can just imagine how this could go wrong. Honestly, I haven’t loved the Beach House stories as much as the Chance Creek ones, but I do recommend them for anyone wanting a gentler, kinder read than most on offer. Cora Seton offers a breath of happily-ever-after that is desperately needed right now.

This is the third book in this series. When Penelope inherits her uncle's house and his fishing boat, she decides to turn the house into an exclusive wedding venue. Problem is she knows more about fishing than planning weddings! Her first guest is a very popular, and very demanding star, and while the young girl's a handful, her manager is a nasty tyrant! Enter sexy man who had standing reservations with her uncle to stay in the B&B and go out on the fishing boat. Being unaware of her uncle's passing, he turns up to go fishing. A deal is struck, and Penelope finds herself juggling the wedding party, plus taking sexy fisherman out fishing every day. There are twists and turns, and dark secrets. But mostly, there's fire burning between Penelope and her handsome guest. You definitely want to read this!

Fishing for the Future

Emma, Ava and Penelope each run lodgings for tourists in their California ocean town of Brightview. Emma and Ava have already met and married their true loves. Now Penelope is opening her recently restored late Uncle's fishing lodge, Fisherman's Point, as "Edgecliff Manor," a wedding venue. Her first wedding is For a high profile, social media, singing celebrity and her high powered gaming champ. Of course, the couple is immature, spoiled and revengeful. Add to all this an overlooked fishing reservation and Penelope's hope for a successful wedding venue business is very grim. But the arrival of Wes Abbott provides Pen support and hope. Her true love of the sea, and her inherited fishing boat,as well as the help of steadfast Wes all help bring her future in sight. A lovely ending to this wondrous series.

Loved the final book in the trilogy but also sad that it was the final book.
Penelope has inherited a property and a fishing boat from her uncle, she has worked hard to update the property to be used as a boutique wedding with a celebrity as her first client, obviously everything does not go to plan including the arrival of an 'old' client of her uncles for a fishing break.
Plagued with doubts, setbacks and a wedding lanner who is, shall we say demanding Penelope with her friends have to work together to try to overcome obstacles.
As stated earlier I wish there was a further book as there are one or two ends I would like tying up but who knows theses characters might turn up in future storyline

Aw, I loved this book. Like the others in this series it was on the sweeter side compared to what I often read. Mild language, and mostly fade-to-black/closed doors. Which sometimes I don’t mind at all because it is nice to change up the style that I’m reading.
There were some interesting moments, especially towards the end when Wes and Penelope came to some realizations about things. They’re a good couple that comes together and they work well together. Problems kept popping up with the “Bridezilla” and in the end they were able to get everything taken care of. As a whole it felt like a natural coming together of them as a couple, their development as characters, and also the community coming together to help.

Beach House Wedding is the third and last book in the Seahaven novel. Penelope loves the house she inherited from her uncle, but because of emotional scars instead of running a fishing charter like she wants to she renovated the old house and turned it into a wedding venue. The first client is a semi famous singer who turns into a bridezilla, and then and unexpected client of her dead uncle showed up for a fishing charter what is Penelope to do?

I Enjoyed this series and hope Cora Seton continues to write books about other characters mentioned. I also hope she finishes the story line about the castle.

Beach House Wedding by C. Seton is the final book in this trilogy.
Penelope Rider just opened a wedding venue and is awaiting her first guests. She's a rather outdoorsy woman and loves going fishing on her boat.
Wes, the heir to an empire, is on his well deserved fishing vacation and lands on Piper's doorstep.
This is a stand-alone, slow burn, beautiful small town romance that makes me want to do a re-read of the first two books. A beautiful story, beautifully written and told.

Penelope and Wes grow close very quickly while dealing with a diva and her entourage. Amber is running the show at this wedding event, and her shenanigans are funny, and mostly absurd Poor Penelope! I really want her to stand up for herself. And Wes, hiding from his family and hiding from the wedding. All he wants to do is go fishing! Penelope and Wes are nice, maybe too nice, yet this is a fun and enjoyable read.

What a wonderful book and addition to the series! It was full of action, soul searching characters, romance, and laughter.

Wes and Penelope are so likable and have such perseverance. You can feel the attraction they have and how right they are for each other. Of course, there are obstacles that must be cleared before their HEA. But, even the obstacles are fun to read about. A great read!

Again I liked the main characters and their friends, but the side characters were completely toxic and enraging. Kind of ruined the middle part of the story for me. Ended well and I feel like although this was a trilogy, there is another story coming about some of the other people in the town. Maybe a spin-off series?

Penelope is trying to set up a Wedding venue at Fisherman's Point, Cliff Edge Manor. The first wedding is for a celebrity, but things don't go to plan. We'd had been looking forward to this break for a long time & can't wait to get to Fisherman's Point. When he gets there, things have change, it's no longer called Fisherman's Point it's now Cliff Edge Manor & even worse Fan died & his nice is running a Wedding venue!

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review. Penelope and Wes’ story finishes the Beach House series. It’s a story of finding yourself and remembering who you are for both of them. Between Penelope’s wedding clients and Wes’s family, there is never a dull moment.

When you follow your heart don't be surprised where it leads you.  Romance comes in all forms and the fortunate meeting of Penelope and Wes shows up at the most NOT likely time. I hope Cora writes a 4th book with updates from the 3 couples!

Conclusion

Again I don't think this book was as good as the first. I missed the interactions between the three neighbors. Though they came to help in the wedding crisis. I recommend the series which should be read in order. I read the books one after the other

Beach House Wedding was a very enjoyable read. The main characters were cute and funny. The way the wedding they had to guide through was very interesting. Wes's family was a surprise. Loved the whole story.

This is my favorite book of the series. I really liked Wes, and I loved the circumstances of how he and Penelope not only meet, but build their relationship. There was always something going on, there was never a lull in the story.

Good book (Book 3 of series and seems like the last) but, author didn’t address the Castle, Fee or James. A side story throughout series that just never had closure. This is strange to me.
