And all of this happens before she wakes up and faces reality where in fact she is a 50 something mom with grown kids, she's been married longer than Theo’s been alive, and now get her kicks riding a Harley.
As far as her body, she can thank, Ben & Jerry’s for that as well as gravity and vodka. But she says that she could never be Adele’s backup since she never stops saying the F-word long enough to actually sing.
Danielle writes about kickass women with even better shoes and the men that try to tame them (silly silly men).

This was a fun cute well written cozy mystery. There are no spoilers in this review.
She gives a girl a crazy back story and then gives her an even crazier town to live in with characters that run amuck daily and as if it's normal. I loved it from the first line to the last. The mystery is well thought out and has clues that go all over the place, but finally wind up with a ribbon tied around it.

The romance is slow but nice and the emotions are well done, for a cozy mystery. The fact that both parties have a hard time trusting and have family completely invested in their relationship makes it fun and funny too. There is a little comedy and definitely some hijinks in there as well. Also, if you wanted to know how a stripper pole works, this story is for you.

I actually loved this story and will read more of her cozy mysteries. And by the way, I was so engrossed I read the whole thing in one sitting--with a couple bathroom breaks.

This is a cozy mystery from Danielle. It's set in a little town called Poultry Georgia.
It has everything from a naughty pole dancing grandmother(Dottie) to gossiping church ladies.
Paige is running home to work in her grandmother's book store after very bad break up.
Eli is a police office in town. After the town Vet and her secretary(Sunny) get murdered the three of them try and figure out who did it. There are a lot of suspect in this town.. grumpy accountant ( Arthur) to a employee(Dexter) that isn't happy with the new Vet.
Sara dies by having a allergic reaction to apples. Her step mother(Abigail) comes to town and might be the next victim on the killers list.
A romance has begun between Paige and Eli. A clue is left for Eli to help find the killer.
They plan of party to help keep an eye on Abigail because they think she is going to be murdered on that night.
Things go down at the party and a few things are revealed.. The murderer is.............. lol Have to read the book to find out.
Very enjoyable book...

In this cute and quirky mystery we meet Paige and Eli. Paige is moving to her grandma’s hometown after a series of unfortunate happenings. Eli is the local cop, who is endearingly interested in Paige. While they work together, which I had to ignore the fact that he shouldn’t have been talking to her about the case, they realize that they have a lot in common.
First, the vet is found dead in her clinic, the the receptionist is found dead. All signs point to one person, who is missing. Add in her grandma, who is a hoot, and Arthur and you get comedic gold. I can’t wait to read more about this quirky town.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Oh my word! Poisonly Ever After is such a cute mystery! Cute isn't usually how I would describe Danielle Norman's works, but it fits the bill for this small town murder mystery. The quirky cast of characters kept me wondering who the murderer actually was and Dottie had me rolling. Each character was so unique, it reminded me of the old board game "Clue" as I tried to solve the mystery. Thrown into the mix was Poultry, Georgia's small town charm and the sweet budding romance between Eli and Paige. This is the perfect book for anyone looking for a lighthearted afternoon read.

Danielle Norman is always a definite must read for anything she creates. Poisonly Ever After is definitely different than the rest of her type of stories but still had that Danielle touch throughout. Eli and Paige were the cutest pair from the beginning. Oh and her grandmother kept the story entertaining and comical throughout. Each character was perfect and like always Danielle did not disappoint with the 1st book of her new series. Cannot wait for book 2. Thank you WordSmith Publicity for the ARC.

This was a delightfully sweet book by Danielle. This cozy mystery is different book from what we normally get from Danielle but it didn’t disappoint. Paige has moved to Poultry to be with her grandmother after a embarrassing break up and it’s not the sleepy little town she remembers with 2 murders. With the local deputy Eli they are on the hunt for the killer while discovering their growing attraction to each other. I enjoyed reading this lovely book by Danielle and I was lucky enough to win an arc.

Wow I read this book in one go. I couldn't put it down . Who knew that in a town called poultry, home to every chicken recipe known to man where nothing exciting ever happens that there would be two murders in one week . I absolutely loved this book and will definitely be buying it on paperback . I loved the chemistry between Eli and Paige but Paige's grandma Dottie stole the whole book she was a cracker 😂.
Lots of twists and turns in this book and just when you think you know who the murderer is , boom plot twist.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery and lots of chicken recipes lol.

I don’t usually read many mysteries, but this on was fantastic! I can’t wait to get more books in the Scary Takes series!

Poisonly Ever After is a delightful new story that will keep you on your toes as you get to know the town of Poultry, Georgia. I loved this one so much. You are going to laugh out loud as Paige, her grandma Dottie and Eli work on solving the murder in this small town. Paige is a bit awkward and trying to put her life back in order. Dottie is that sweet loveable grandma who has her own set of secrets. Eli is that small town cop who is trying to do the right thing. You feel for Paige as this one unfolds and you get to know her. You cannot help but to laugh at every misstep and antics that go down. This is a new mystery from Danielle Norman that you will not want to miss out on. I love the humor and mystery that is brought to the pages. I cannot wait for more Scary Tales to come. I could not put this one down.

Paige has just returned to Poultry Georgia after a break up. She decides to run from her old boss/ex and move in with her grandmother Dottie. After arriving and taking her dog to the vet for a check up, the vet mysteriously dies leaving the town wondering what happened. Paige hooks up with the sexy cop Eli to help him solve the mystery. Especially when another one is found dead. Great book just in time for Halloween.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This new series is a total departure from Danielle Norman’s typical style. Paige suddenly finds herself in small town Georgia living with her grandmother after her forbidden relationship ended in a spectacular fire. Paige was dreading living in the small town but strange things began to happen. The local veterinarian turns up murdered and there are many suspects in the small town.

This book is an absolutely delightful mystery. Paige is a character that is very real. Shortly after moving in with her grandma in what is supposed to be a sleepy town a murder happens. Paige gets reacquainted with Eli who she met a few times when she was young and would visit her grandma. Eli is a police officer who Paige ends up helping to solve the case. The case was definitely not to predictable and it was fun to try and solve things with Paige and Eli.

PEA by D. Norman is a stand-alone and book one in this new series.
Paige is new in her grandmother's small town. And she get left by her to run her bookstore.
When she stumbles into a scene at the local vet clininc, she has her work laid out for her.
PEA is a cozy mystery/romance, witty and fun, well written and gives all the feels, has everything I love in a good story.

It's not a stretch to fall into the mystery of a Danielle Norman novel. It is a tad odd when that mystery is drowning in ironic humor. Stumble into the unpredictable intrigue that is Poisonly Ever After. Paige is trouble with a capital "T". From her sassy personality to her penchant for walking into sticky situations and her curious mind, there is always a new discovery waiting just around the bend of every page turn. A smartly written edge of your seat, straight to the heart thrill ride.

Totally adorable cozy mystery

I'm a big fan of Dani's and this work is another example of why.

Paige and Eli are so freaking cute and adorably awkward with each other, it's hilarious and lovely all at the same time. Dottie is the granny everyone wishes they had. And the rest of the characters are just freaking fun.

This is a cozy mystery with some fun twists and turns. It's only downside for me, it's set in a very small town and reminds me why I left the one I went to high school in the day after I graduated. It has more to make it good tho so I was easily able to overlook the snooty busy-bodies.

If you choose to pick up this work you will definitely laugh, you'll be stumped and wondering what in the world is going on, and you'll end with a fun read that was well worth the time, effort and money.

I definitely recommend this beginning of a new series by the fabulous Danielle Norman.

This cozy mystery is a first for Danielle Norman and it has everything you’d expect from a book within this genre along with everything you’d expect from a Danielle Norman book. Set in a small town of poultry Georgia with the gossipy church going lovelies, a frisky pole dancing granny. This book had me hooked from the first page and I cannot wait to see where else Norman chooses to go with her journey into cozy mystery land

This is a sweet, cute, diversion in the DN career. Her first 'cosy mystery' it's a good story. Now bear in mind that this is not a genre that I generally enjoy - but this story is cute. Weirdly the thing I like the most about it, is the direct opposite to what I like best in DN's previous books. I really love the fact that Eli is weirdly uncomfortable flirting and interacting with Paige. Normally DN writes such confident alpha men - I like that this guy is kinda dorky and sweet and unsure of himself. Equally DN's heroines are normally sassy confident women who own and rock who they are... And Paige is a big mess. She's attempting to restart her life, she accidentally sets fire to things (totally something I'd do), she'd not entirely sure where she fits into the town or even with her new living situation. These are the parts I really love - the story itself is good, the 'normal' new characters are great!

I actually think there's at least a novella in Paige's back story too DN.

A witty, lighthearted, murder mystery in the small town of Poultry, Georgia. Yes, they feature chicken dishes in all eateries.
Paige Turner just moved home to help Dottie, her Grandmother run her bookstore and live with her in the apartment above. She left Atlanta embarrassed, mad, and with her dog, Darby.
It didn't take her long to be:
half owner of a stripper pole
involved in the investigation of not one but two murders
involved with Officer Eli Kirby
thinking their were prowlers at their apartment
listening to all the busybodies in town
and making friends along the way.
You will love this action packed, page turner novel by Danielle Norman. Oh romance is also involved.

Paige moves to her Grandmother Dottie's home town after her life went sideways in the city. She is expecting to have a quiet and boring life for a while. Between her pole dancing Grandma, good looking Sheriff Eli and people turning up dead, Poultry GA is anything but quiet.

This is a fun cozy mystery. Total deviation from the author's normal style but she totally pulled it off. Paige is and her crazy luck are fun and Dottie is hilarious. Eli was a the perfect good guy, sweet and kind. Had some good laughs, just enough suspense and surprises to keep you guessing and a little bit of a budding romance. Can't wait to see what kind of fun the rest of this series holds.

Needing a fresh start Paige has moved to her grandmother’s hometown and is now working in her bookstore. An innocent trip to the vet starts a chain reaction when the vet dies and Paige is determined to find out who is responsible however there seems to be a lot of people with motives.

Eli is a police officer who isn’t certain he needs Paige’s help to solve the case however he certainly enjoys spending time with her.

The romance is sweet, the secondary characters are entertaining, and Paige’s grandmother is a hoot.
