At the closing stages of the FA carling premier league season in 1999-2000, west London football clubs continual endeavour to stave off relegation to Division one of the football league was looking more and more unlikely.
It was seven years since it’s formation it had never experienced such consistent difficulty. It was hard enough competing against some of the best clubs in the world on a level playing field, but unknown to them, an additional party was determined; by foul means including blackmail robbery assault murder to extinguish any chance of the club had of surviving.
I have actually read the book twice. Although I know very little about football it didn't stop me reading a thriller that I could not put down, and highly recommend it. great read. May Welch.
