One night.
Just one night can change everything…
As my mom’s date to her annual work party this year, I’m looking forward to a night out full of glitz and glamor in the heart of the city.
I hardly ever get out.
And though that’s probably because of my own self doing, I’m alright with it. But tonight, I could use a change of pace—not having a clue of what would be in store.
When Dane Miles approaches me at the party, carrying a dark head of hair with silver streaks bursting from his temples and this smooth grin adorning his face, I practically freeze on the spot seeing a man so gorgeous. And wanting to talk to me.
I can’t believe I’m considering ditching my mom for a stranger tonight.
But he’s not a total stranger, right? They’ve worked together long enough…I would’ve heard if he was a bad guy, right?
I hope I’m not making a mistake here because after tonight, I still wish to be the one…for Daddy.

On the Precipice of Adulthood and Falling into Love
Ivy Greer, an innocent 18-yr-old with bright green eyes and bouncing golden curls, is a recent high school graduate has been her mom’s focus for the whole of the sweet girl’s life. Mom’s focus became even more complete when Ivy’s dad traded in Ivy’s family for one he wanted more, leaving mom, Rachel, and 5-year-old Ivy to manage without him.
And now, the relationship of the two women is once more on the verge of change. Ivy, working a summer part time job is anticipating college in the fall, and with her recent 18th birthday, mom has helped her purchase her own small car which is currently parked at home awaiting Ivy’s acquisition of her driving license the next week. So, when mom asks her to be her “plus-1” at a party that her graphic design company—D&M Designs—is hosting at a Seattle event center to celebrate the successful launch of a client’s product, Luxy Vodka, the sweet daughter is happy to support her mom’s company and its success.
And, Ivy is ready to celebrate with both her graduation and her 18th birthday helping to enhance her festive mood. So, with the room filled with music, dancing, eating, drinking and, schmoosing, Ivy is contented to find a quiet corner table with her plate full of goodies and observe the festivities, even without an alcoholic beverage since she is still not “legal” for drinking.
As she loses herself in the sights and sounds of the festivities, Ivy senses, but hasn’t verified with a visual confirmation, is that she is being watched. But by carefully letting her vision pan around the crowd, she eventually makes direct eye contact with a handsome older man’s crystal blue eyes which are watching her. And, when she eventually decides to move to a nearby balcony overlooking the lights of Seattle, the watching older man soon follows her, impacting Ivy’s heart as no male, young or old, ever has. And with the steady gaze of his crystal blue eyes, the set of his chiseled jaw, and the sweep of his short clipped dark hair with slight greying at the temples, something awakens in her, setting her heart to pounding.
And as the handsome older man introduces himself as Dane Miles, an executive in the company that D&M Designs is feting, she is drawn to this older man as none of the boys her age has ever drawn her with his kiss, his touch and his watchful eyes, accessing just what the sweet girl needs at that moment, and giving her just enough, but not too much of his male attention, so as not to frighten her. And when he suggests that they find a more private location in the large event center, she willingly agrees to yield her will to the older man, meeting him in a more distant space from the large ballroom and its adjacent balcony.
B.L. Brooks once more gently leads her reader to the awakening of a young girl to love with an older man leading her to knowledge and awareness with gentleness, patience, and above all, love. Each of Brooks’ novellas centers a young girl, who sometimes knowingly, and sometimes unknowingly, needs the loving attention of an older man, not a young player, to deliver the direction, stability and unselfish passion that only a mature man can provide.

The author has given us an older man/younger woman quick read that pulls us into the lives of Dane and Ivy. When she attends a party sponsored by the company her mother works for, she can feel someone watching her. Once Dane sees Ivy, all he wants is to get her into his life.

One Amazing story
This book is yet another amazing read from a fabulous author. I loved the characters and the story very much. I 100% recommend this author to anyone . She really knows how to write some very hot alpha Daddies and is a mild autostart exploring the Daddy Dom/ Little Girl life style

Another fun short read from B.L. This is Dane and Ivy's story. Older man/younger woman. Instant attraction. Hot times!

Ivy is at a party when Dane spots her from across the way. This was a very sweet, insta love story that was very enjoyable.

Every one of these books are my reading guilty pleasures! Just love the series, and this is another great addition. Steamy, older man for younger woman. Quick, fun read!
