Middle grade. Animals. HEA.

Story: Zoe helps take care of the animals at the zoo. It's Christmas snd she's making gifts for the animals.

Characters: Zoe, a young girl, cam understand and talk to animals.

Language: Short chapters, pencil illustrations. Near present, UK but could be almost anywhere.

This is my first rescue zoo book and I was pleasantly surprised. The book follows the formula of many modern early chapter book series, but instead of a dramatic ending, it was very subdued, which I liked. A good Christmas book.
