I normally enjoy this type story but I was dizzy as the storyline and characters were all over the place. It’s not a bad book just a book that needs more development.
I give Messed With The Wrong One:An Urban Romance Thriller 3 stars.
This book had me confused from the beginning. The character overload left me trying to figure out who was doing what the whole book. The messy characters were just as undesirable as the plot. It was very hard to like anyone in the book. I was very glad to that the author touched on the need for therapy when life gets out of control. The author drew inspiration from EyeCU Freestyle Friday…I hope to see more inspiration in my next read.
I received ARC from the author for my honest opinion. This book was a good read with a lot of drama and crazy characters. In the beginning the story was slow and confusing a bit with the characters back and forth drama concerning relationships, jealousy and envy issues. I thought Shaniqua would have gotten more than what happened. Regina was wrong for what she set out to do and I felt Corey was wrong when it fact he should not have involved himself because it was his family member who was in jeopardy. Reggie was straight delusional and it was no surprise to me what happened toward the end. I'm glad everything worked out for Junior and Marlena. Also glad that Corey was able to find a happy relationship.
“Befriending Marlena was almost too easy for Shaniqua. All she had to do was send her a friend request, start liking her photos and commenting under her statuses on social media, and the two became fast friends.”
With a creatively outrageous imagination, Tanisha Stewart definitely knows how to weave a story that keeps readers turning the pages. A story of friends and foes, plotting and scheming, murder and mayhem…"Messed With The Wrong One" unfolds much like watching one of those psycho Lifetime movies that you just can't look away from. Each and every character in this book was blessed by the stick of delusion.
My one critique is there were a lot of characters introduced at once but once I found my rhythm, it was on like Donkey Kong! If you're looking for a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that'll keep you on edge...I suggest you 1-Click and buckle up for a wild ride.
This was by far the dumbest plot in a story I’ve ever witnessed. Regina was infatuated with Marlena for over 10 years to the point of wanted to ruin her life because Marlena was popular and Regina was not. Then come Reggie, him and Jr are bestfriends and suddenly he held a grudge against him because he started dating Marlena. The Shaniqua person just got on my nerves throughout. Lastly, the narrator was not good this must’ve been his first narrating gig. I’ve read books by this author before that were decent but unfortunately this was a miss for me. I was unable to connect with any of the characters and it seems as if it was written for high schoolers.
This book was good and it has so many twisting turns. You never know who really be hating you and you don't even know nothing about it. This book brought aware of how you don't have enemies that you didn't even know they exist and they'll be stern you right in your face. But it also showed that if you remain loyal to people, you will never have to worry about nothing bad happened to you. Karma will get the person.
I had to read chapters one and two twice because I was so confused by the characters and what was going on. Once I got into the book, about midway, I enjoyed the story. I read "Everybody Ain't Your Friend" first so I guess I was expecting the same suspense. I am going to read all of the books by this author because I think her creativity is awesome
This was truly an entertaining read but surely to unrealistic to feed into the story line 100%. This was my first book by this author and reading this it was obvious her imagination is one that runs wild. However, in some instances the character flow and story line were hard to follow. All in all I would suggest the read and I look forward to more reads by this author.
This book was so good. It seemed like everyone one in this book was a little crazy. And I was down for all the craziness. If you are looking for a fire read, look no further.
Wow! These characters are something else. It is a shame that you now have to vex your friends. Have to do a whole investigation on. I couldn't put the book down. I highly recommend this book to all. You did it again Tanisha. Thanks.
A 2 people delusional and many others clueless. This book contains the prefect storm for these shenanigans. Master manipulation, scheming and plenty crazy can be found between these pages.
This absolutely cemented me as a true fan I have slowly been working my way there the catalog and their one had me on the edge of my seat bravo sis bravo you did it again five stars all the way
I love the way this author always take scenarios and situations that you wouldn’t even think about and makes them into an amazing story! As always, she is the queen of plot twists, and this story did not disappoint with them at all!
I can’t believe Reggie and Regina actually wanted to kill someone because they got catfished ! That’s the dumbest reason to kill somebody! Anyway karma was served as it should have been.
The beginning of this book was sooooo confusing while trying to figure out all the characters and how they related to each other. But it all came together and KRAZY it was.
This was the messiest shit I had read. Y'all this fool was mad crazy. Had this been a female doing this we wouldn't think nothing of it. Females wear jealousy out. But this right here can't from a mother unfit to have children. Then abused her son til he became a demented miserable evil bastard. Once again this make you almost wanna look at yo friends and see if they on the wrong side of the fence. Mental health is a mf! Please check on your friends. Apparently Reggie been putting bodies down for a minute and his childhood friends knew nothing about the crazy in that fools head! Read the gatdam book! Yo ass is going to be mad and have a good laugh!
