Ruby Vincent is a published author with many novels under her belt but now she's taking a fun foray into contemporary romance. She loves saucy heroines, bold alpha males, and weaving a tale where both get their happy ever after.
So I did not at all like the way book two ended and the twist in this one. That twist is just something I’m never a fan of. I was really frustrated in the beginning because I liked the character we had, I didn’t want a new character. Surprisingly though it ended up okay. I didn’t hate it as much as I thought I would but I also never, throughout the whole series, had a real big connection to any of the characters. In the end what bugged me the most about the twist was that she was the one who was always being in trouble and punished. First for setting up Cairo in book one and then for something out of her control at the end of book two/three. I would have liked to have seen them have to prove just how important she was to them. She’s the one doing all the heavy lifting.
All in all it was just pretty chaotic though. There are a lot of errors throughout the whole series. The author always has good ideas but I think if she worked with a development editor her books would end up being way more fleshed out and cohesive. Like in all her books the storyline really seems to favor one guy or two guys and it was the same in this series. I always have this hang up with her books that some of the guys are like side characters. I wish it was more balanced. I needed a lot more screen time with Jacques and Arsenio for sure.
I really wanted a lot more romance in the series as well. I get it’s a dark romance but given everything that has happened to her in her life I wished for her that she had more of those soft moments given to her instead of her just giving them to the men. It would have gone a long way in endearing them to me. I def haven’t ended this series feeling that they’re all so cute together and so in lurve and personally I like to end series with those giddy swoony feelings, especially in HS and college romances. That’s why I like to read about young love!
I am interested to see if Adriel and his crow buddies are going to be getting their own series.
Overall: 2.5. I’d give the whole series 3 stars though because I as convoluted as everything was I really was invested and engaged with the mystery aspects of the town and plot.
Really enjoyed the series at the beginning, and I usually enjoys good plot twist. However, this was not one of them. I quit reading about half way through and just couldn't complete the series.
I love everything else by ruby vincent. I just couldn't force myself to finish this one.
I don’t want to knock this down a full star for this book alone, because overall it has been a good series… until it eventually seemed to turn into a bored college student pulled 10 tropes out of a hat and rushed into the last bit of the series. It was weird, though… everything started as if it was obvious outside of the MFC that she was ‘mentally unstable’ to put it lightly. I was kinda into the hot antihero vibe despite the synopsis sounded VERY different than the plot I was into.
Then all kinds of crazy explosions and shit happened. And FMC is now this double agent type. Then she’s somehow only trying to protect her guys but honestly sounds like she’s full on textbook dissociative identity disorder… then holy fuck! She’s now remembering everything before her memory stopped….
And then it gets more dramatic…. I’m not lying….
And don’t get me wrong… I read this genre for the theatrics and smut, no shame! But this one was odd. Loads of the drama and mental gymnastics trying to figure out whodunnit… but on the verge of being a dictionary of psychological disorders and a dash of a soap opera.
A bit much. Ok. Scratch that. A LOT of MUCH.

I don’t know what it is about this series but I just didn’t like it. It was all over the place, the plot was too elaborate & there was too many moving pieces.
I also didn’t like the relationship between them all, they were so willing to drop her in 2 seconds except one. The men also didn’t stand out to me at all, the only one I really remembered was Jacq (definitely not spelling this correct) & Cairo, the other ones were all melded together. It was also odd to me that they were all into BDSM, I don’t get it 🤷🏻♀️ this also gave me HS vibes & was very cringey a lot of the time.
The FMC was also very annoying & much more likable as Rainey than Ivy. I had to remove points for using the word “member” 🙄
The ending was whatever 🤷🏻♀️

Again this series wasn't my cup of tea. I guess storylines like this just aren't my favorite. I love this authors work though. The story itself was interesting and the characters were great
I'm going to start by saying that the writing is excellent, as usual from this author. There is nothing wrong with the plot, nor in the character development. The plot develops nicely and the twist in the plot was unexpected. So, kudos on a well written series!
That being said, this kind of story line is not my cup of tea. I feel like it glorifies characters being evil by making it seem ok under whatever circumstances are happening. I'm not saying that "an eye for an eye" isn't acceptable to me under certain conditions. But I didn't feel like our main characters always fell into what I consider acceptable. The author did warn at the beginning of this series that it was dark and I accepted that and read anyway. I was confused through 50% of the first book because I didn't understand what was going on. I almost quit reading the series because it made no sense. I also have to say that I have a hard time with the whole "consensual rape" fettish. I understand that there are people who think that's a turn on. However, a friend of mine was raped and my daughter was nearly raped. I don't find "consensual rape" sexy or a turn on. It really bothers me when authors use this fettish because it seems like it makes light of actual rape....as if rape should be a turn on instead of despicable. I'm not saying that's what the author was intending. That's just how I see it.
I don't know how I really feel about this harem. I just don't understand physically aggressive relationships and why any woman would want that. The humiliation of wearing promiscuous clothing and being led by a leash through a college campus is not something I find romantic or loving. Again, I realize there are people with a humiliation fettish, which is their prerogative. I just, personally, don't find it appealing. It makes me want to scream at said character and ask them what is wrong with them that they would accept that treatment. Our MC did have some come back and paybacks, but they didn't happen often enough. I felt like, until the end, she just let herself get used and mistreated because the guys were handsome. I felt like the guys did nothing to make them loveable.
So, I give this series 4 stars because it was well written and interesting. It just wasn't a romance for me. I hope that makes sense.
This world runs on greed. It's no different in fiction. The Sisters were a selfish bunch. How you can overthrow a group of men for their horrible actions, just to turn around and be just as despicable is hypocritical and flat out disgusting. I'm my opinion, they got off light. As for the Men of Honor 2.0, they definitely got their just desserts. Although, I feel they could have suffered more.
I really enjoyed this series. I loathed waiting so long for the last book, but it was totally worth it! Ivy and the boys got a happy ending and even Paris and Jack came along for the ride. I'm glad Ivy forgave Jack. He's a good guy. He had to be. Cairo loved and cared for him. He's a good judge of character.
The only thing that threw me off was Henry Gold. He turned pretty easily, which was surprising, considering he was so concerned about Ivy before. He had good friends on the police force and seemed to be a stand up guy. It was a shock he morphed into a self serving pig so quickly. I thought he was smart too. Evidently, he wasn't. He could have helped Ivy get her deed back and not only made much more money, but he wouldn't have given up his good reputation and dignity.
Wow! This book was jam packed with action, suspense, twists, turns, surprise revelations and so much steam! I couldn’t put it down.
This is the final installment of The Bedlam Boys series and it did not disappoint. We catch up with our crew right where we left off in book 2 - at bridge, facing an enemy and with our girl having to make a decision that impacts all of their lives.
That choice sets into motion a series of events that leads to major issues in their relationship. I love the way she refused to give up on her guys and did everything she could to win them back. There were also more threats to deal with and wrongs to avenge. And it was all so good.
I’m being vague - I know. But there were just so many secrets that it’s hard to talk about any one without compromising another. So, just know the reveals great, the sexy times are phenomenal, and the payoff at the end was oh so satisfying.
I really enjoyed this series. Love this author as well. I ha e to say 1 thing though and that is the ending. I didnt like it. For the most part yea i did but It was to abrupt. Kinda like an open. I was confused are they going to kill the guy in jail. Or someone else. Cause to be honest the guy didn't do anything to them and helped them out when they needed it. And I would of liked to see about more into them. Not just on a boat. Maybe already being parents. Anyway it just seemed cut off. Like there should me more. That is it that 1 things others what a awesome book.
They may not have started this fight but they sure as heck will end it!! This is the final book in The Bedlam Boys series and man what a ride!!! This entire series is jaw dropping, heart stopping, non-stop entertainment. Rainey/Ivy will get her boys no matter what it takes. Roan, Jacques, Legend, Arsenio, and Cario are not sure anymore who Ivy is and its put quite the damper on their relationship. Can Ivy convince them she is still the woman they all fell in love with? Will they be able to save Bedlam? This is an excellent series and I highly recommend it!!
For this to be the end, it just all seemed rushed. Along with rushing, it’s like idle chatter was used to fill up word count to make the pages. I had to skim through lots of tedious paragraphs that weren’t necessary. I almost didn’t finish when Cairo had a girl over and flaunted her in front of Ivy. The last like 4% revealed she was just his lab partner and he never cheated. So, I was happy for that. The ending just wasn’t satisfying though. I had hoped for more.
I loved this series. Rainey was the only family member left on her rundown farm. She enrolled in the local collage and was living in a dorm but every once in a while, took the bus & stayed the night in what was left in her house. She started receiving Black letters with riddles that she could not solve. They were threatening letters that if she did not figure out the riddle one of her friends would die. She was captured by the Bedlam Boys and they were helping her solve the letters as they kept coming each week, they got more demanding each time.Together they started to find out who was sending them & why. It is a wild ride through Bedlam I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did. Start series with Ruckus Royale then next in series Riot King & finish with Chaos Crown.
After a year it’s another cliffhanger and only eight chapters?? Couldn’t figure out if that was a mistake as the blurb reads as it’s the last in the series at least to me.
Really getting tired of all of these series that keep ending in cliffhangers and just keep going with no hint in the blurb that they are unending and not normal trilogies or whatever. Think I’ll wait until the final book says ‘final book’ in the blurb to read the rest of them.
After waiting over a year for this last book, I was super excited to finally dig into it.
I enjoyed how it ended but there were some things that kind of bothered me. Nothing serious but enough to have me rate it a 4 instead of 5.
I liked the twists and thought there were interesting but I think I was just hoping for a little bit more. In the end though I did enjoy the book and am glad the characters got their HEA.
This was the perfect ending to Ivy and her guys! But the twists and turns in this book had me in the edge of my seat for most of the book! My heart broke at the beginning of the book with the horrible realizations that Ivy had to go through and the strain that then put on her relationship with the Bedlam Boys but Ivy is a baddie and like the baddie she is she takes what she wants!
she found the greatest mystery of Bedlam… the truth of her ancestors.. her kings had doubts.. but they never stopped loving Ivy.. breakdown, jumped off a bridge to save her kings.. Men of honor.. Sisters of sisterhood… crystal canton.. foundry.. hunter crest.. 6 masked people responsible for the death of her sister.. she exposed the lies Ellis sprouted and left Bedlam for good…
Loved that we finally got all the answers, although there were some aspects I wish had played out differently. I really enjoyed this although would have loved a bit more romance in this last book and after all the time of Ivy doing everything for them and claiming them I would have liked to have had it turned around a bit and had them do a bit more chasing or bending for her. However still really loved it.
I seem to be the opposite of many reviews I have seen for this one. I was not really loving it in book 1, book 2 got more interesting into book 3 for me where the "real" meat of the plot really came to light imo.
That being said this this does include a trope that many do not like, even though you don't realize it until the trope is over, and it definitely isn't one for everyone. I wouldn't be recommending this to people unless they wanted things I know are specifically in this series.
Didn’t write reviews on all the books because I was too busy steaming through this series it got me hooked at the first book. Seriously highly recommended would of loved a bit more detail in the spicey but I’m a book slut so that’s just me hehe. Definitely read though thrilling, intense, cliff hanging, surprising….not enough adjectives
I absolutely LOVED this book and this entire series!! After the cliffhanger of the last book, this one jumped right back in with the mother of all twists, and it was a wild ride right to the end! I loved the character development, and I love how the story wrapped up. Excellent book, highly recommend!!!
So many secrets revealed and Rainey’s the biggest of them all! Lies, confusion, murder, secrets, greed, diamonds, riots...and the Bedlam Boys. Love the HEA. Solid 5 star series. Highly recommend.
I never saw this ending coming. If you like intense, thrilling mystery peopled by multiple intriguing characters, this is a great series. Be prepared to binge and don't enter if you fear the dark!
So good…intense and surprising! I did not expect the outcome at all! Told from all POV. Cairo was not my favorite by the end, too stubborn and I thought he should have groveled. Love the epilogue. Definitely going to read this trilogy again.
Absolutely hooked the entire way thru the series. Loved it and definitely sad it's over. The characters are amazing and definitely 🌶🌶🌶 and the plot I'd amazing
