Great story

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about "bad boy" Kevin and Cher
In the previous Sag Harbot series Kevin was always the bad or slick character
It was a fantastic story revealing his true self and why he did some of the things he did and finding redemption along the way with Cher
Maddie and Chrissy showed their true colors but what's done in darkness always comes out in the light
It was great seeing previous characters but also seein Cher find her true self and accept it
Great story Lula, love your writing and will continue to read your books

WELL NOW ☺️❤️

Kevin and Cher, ooo, Chile, all I can say is “Well Now “. I really didn’t know what to expect when I started this book ,but once I got started I couldn’t put it down. ❤️

The inter action between Kevin a savey Tech Billionaire and Cher an up and coming attorney , was something like an explosive love hate thing. At first I just couldn’t figure it out 😂😂 They both seemed to have split personalities and when their ,competitive no hold bars selves ,encountered each other you just really didn’t know what was going to happen. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I don’t want to give the story away but I will say it not your usual love hate romance. It has several layers to it. With several surprising twists and turns. I Loved Kevin even though he was portrayed by some of his arch enemies as an arrogant Azz hole.As for Cher who was classed as a spoiled brat, I loved her spunk and her sass and fearlessness, until it came to her family. They both were really kind hearted people who were dealing with deep seeded hurts and resorted to having their ruthless personas show up to keep others from touching their hearts. That was until Cher’s Family members hired her to represent them in a very important Business Matter before the city Council of the Sag Harbor in the Hamptons. And that is when it seemed someone took the lead off of Pandora’s box
😂😂

This is my first time reading something by this author, and I really enjoyed this book a great deal. ❤️.
I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series. And upon completion I’ll double back and read the Sag Harbor Black Romance series written by thisAuthor. I feel like that series will answer the questions I had about some of the auxiliary characters in this series.

I really, really loved the storyline. It was just the storytelling aspect that I could not fully connect with. I found myself questioning if I skipped pages on numerous occasions as I read through this book because the flow of the story felt jumpy from paragraph to paragraph, as opposed to there being a smooth transition between each scene.

Regardless, I could not but the book down and finished it in record time. I got through the final 70% of it in 24 hours because both Cher and Kevin’s personalities intrigued me. They were flawed, but both of them were also highly ambitious, fearless, and fun. I also found their family dynamics relatable, especially when it came to the high expectations and damning secrets. Great character development along with lots and lots of layers to give both Cher and Kevin depth.

This was my first experience reading from this author’s catalogue, and I look forward to reading more of her work and seeing her grow and further develop her storytelling skills.

This book was a great start to the Explore Men of the Hamptons Series. It is also a spin-off to the Sag Harbor Black Romances Series.

I must admit I liked Kevin's character from the beginning. He was a strong-willed individual. Cher was a new attorney, and Kevin was not one of her favorite people. How will she respond when he becomes interested in her?

By the way, it was nice to hear from some of the characters from previous stories. I highly recommend this enemies-to-lovers romance to anyone who enjoys a little drama and romance. I'm looking forward to the rest of this series.

I loved learning the dirty bits about the Middleton dynasty and seeing the cracks in all that perfection. This was great insight on why Kevin was a little shit growing up. He was truly battling some heavy emotions. Cher’s blind loyalty to Chrissy was adorable but for the first time I actually didn’t care for Chrissy and Maddy. This story definitely casted them in a different light.

I felt the ending and relationship was a bit rushed but I supposed Cher was no fool in locking that down. 😂

Worth The Read

This was a hard read. After hearing how bad Kevin was for 3 books, it was hard to think of him as likeable. Ms White did it though and I am glad I stuck it out. Kevin and Cher, complexity personified, but good for each other. I loved the corporate moves he made and the way he stood up for his business and became an example for others. I loved the way they "saw" each other and just knew what the other needed. The 2 of them will be the power couple.

Two sides of the same coin

Thanks for making Kevin relatable, I knew there was more to his story. I love Cher when she's being her bold and vivacious self, she gave Kevin the business, in multiple ways. They truly were like two sides of the same coin. Lionel needed to come to terms with his own toxicity because name be damned. I love that you have this thriving black community in these stories, even if they are a bit bougie. A good solid read.

Heartwarming

Just like all the other couples, I am now in love with Cher and Kevin. These books continue to warm my heart. Every family has issues, and we all need that special someone to care and share as we work through our problems. Cher is the perfect love for Kevin. You are a grand author!

Wonderfully layered HEA

Cher and Kevin were both complex people, afraid of being their authentic selves because of doubts that doing so might complicate their family relationships.

Their HEA journey felt real and raw, exposing their inner voices that almost kept them accepting or expecting love.

The spin-off series has much the same elements as the first. I'm not sure I understand the constant nefarious acts by the former frenemies.... Just let it go. The repetition is still abundant in this one as well. See what you think because otherwise, the writing is promising.

Excellent…I absolutely loved Kevin & Chenera’s story. It was especially nice getting to know Kevin and was makes him tick. His story was even stronger than their love story. Moving on to #2….after I read the prequel. 😅

We all have issues

Great story of Kevin and Cher. They were two peas in a pod. She was definitely his match and he helped her find her independence from her family.

amazing!

As much as I hated the main character I couldn’t put this book down. The author has transformed the experience and made us readers fall in love with him.
