First she lost her mother and then a few years later her father was killed while they worked on a tugboat. Freya, with no place to go was allowed to remain on the tugboat working and cooking for the crew. It wasn't the best environment for the girl, but it was better than turning her out to fend for herself or worse, putting her in one of those homes for parentless girls. Freya was already too old to accept that for her life. Then another tragedy struck and she was involved in a trafficking encounter where she became the victim of abduction. Her life quickly changed and she was forced to relocate for her safety. A new life, a new place to live, and a new name. Almost new.

Great Author!

I’ve read every book Ms. Kuhnke has put out. She never fails leaving me with wonderful characters that I feel as if I’m part of their lives. Her books are so hard to put down. I find myself so engrossed with what’s happening, I lose track of time.
Each book is stand alone so you can start anyone of them. Once you start reading her stories I guarantee you will be so hooked you’ll start on the next before you know it!!! Each book shows the wonders of good strong women who let God lead their lives. The results are amazing!

Beautiful story!

Freya escaped kidnappers and saved several other young women. However, she is forced to disguise herself and relocate after an attempt on her life. In her new situation, she becomes acquainted and involved in the lives of several people. Freya becomes an important part of their lives, especially Austin.

This is one of Jean Kuhnke's most interesting and impressive stories.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book

I wish I could write better reviews. I love to read, but am terrible at writing. I love this book and all the books by this Author, as soon as, I find she has written another book I immediately start reading it and don't put it down til it is finished. I think i have read them all at least twice.
