A few days before I started this book a friend of mine died unexpectedly. I didn’t know her for a long time and never met her but I felt closer to her than I did to most of other people I know for much longer. She was a huge fan of Jamey Moody‘s books and Melanie from No More Secrets definitely was her favourite character from all of Jamey‘s books. Or she said it in her own words „H luv Mel n vry hapi“.

It‘s the first book I can’t discuss with her. Talking about books was always special to me because of her TBI and being on the spectrum like I am, the talks were different in the most positive way. I know she would have loved Tara and Lauren‘s story. And she would have loved to see Krista and Melanie again (or Mel how she called her). All in all it would have been another perfect book for her.

Jamey Moody just knows how to make you feel warm inside. Like she describes her books herself it’s another totally sappy story. And that’s exactly what makes her stories so perfect. In a world that is often cruel and where kindness gets forgotten a lot, her stories are the perfect escape. Her characters show us how others should be treated, how communication works and that kindness is so important. Of course it’s fiction but I still believe we all can learn a little bit of something from these characters and their stories.

The story itself is like I already said another beautiful one. I fell in love with Lauren right away in Where Secrets are Safe and I hoped she will get her own story. I actually wasn’t totally sold about the prospect of Tara as her partner. But I changed my mind right away when I started this book. And I totally fell in love with her the longer the book went on. These two are just perfect for each other and while not everything is all happy and sunshine because Lauren has two kids that can’t be forgotten (even if they are already adults, exactly what makes it more difficult sometimes 🙈). In the end they work things out together. They show us when you choose someone it’s for the better and the worse times.

When I finished the book I was happy and sad. Happy because I got to read another wonderful story by Jamey and my heart got filled again. But then sad at the other hand because the book was already over again and that I can’t ask my friend what she thinks.

Not sure if this review is helpful in anyway because it came out different than I thought and than I usually write them. What I can say is that I highly recommend this story and I hope there will be more in this series.

I received an advance reader copy from the author and voluntarily leaving a review.

This story brought back all the feelings I remember having when I found my one special person. The story is beautifully written with so much love and tenderness. Tara and Lauren are both looking for their forever person. They felt a connection the first time they met at Lovers Landing. As their friendship grew so did their love. You can't read this book and not feel all warm and happy inside.

A big thank you to Jamey Moody for the audiobook And The Truth Is I won in July.

I listened to it without having read or listened to #1 and #2 of the Lovers Landing series. And while the book is easy to understand, it would definitely be better to follow the order as I did miss some of the back stories.

Tara Halloway, a great and popular actress, and successful real estate agent Lauren Nichol are the main characters in this entertaining romance. A story without a lot of drama, but one or two important issues are addressed.

I loved the setting of the small lakeside town in contrast to glitzy and noisy Hollywood. And women over 50 as the main characters in a romance is always lovely to see.

Lauren and Tara are independent and successful women who find love again after failed relationships. The attraction and chemistry between the two are great.

Romantic and emotional, it is a heartwarming and sweet love story - an absolute feel-good book.

Narrated by Amanda Wrege, a new to me narrator. I like her voice and overall she did a very good job, only the different voices were a bit too similar for me.

And I will read or listen to the first two books.

This book was available for free on the Romance Day giveaway and I gladly took it. Because it is part of a series I did read the two preceding books on KU, so I already knew the characters. Lauren Nichols has been separated for a few years and her divorce is finally finalized. She is a successful real estate agent in a small Texas lake town near Dallas. She is longtime friends with Krista who owns Lover’s Landing a cabin resort on the lake. For years she has been included when Krista invites her Hollywood friends and production company to the lake. Tara Holloway is an Oscar winning actress and is ready to slow down her career. She asks Lauren to find a Lake House perfect for her and she does. It is also time for Lauren and Tara to finally act on their feelings that have been simmering for the last three years.

This is a very loving book. The two are firmly a couple before the thirty percent point. The minimal angst is getting the reaction of Krista’s two adult children. I’ve like both these characters in the series but the expressing their love for each other is a little overboard. Some variation of love happens 391 times in a book just under 300 pages. It felt repetitive. But I’ll still continue on and finish the series. Also even though I own the my copy I did read this through KU so the author gets paid for it being read.

I couldn't wait to snuggle down with the latest offering from the author.
A love story with warmth and bedroom heat, this time with main characters Lauren (realtor) and Tara (actress). Tara buys a property with the intention of moving permanently from California to the lake area in Texas. Aided by Krista and Melanie's gentle nudging, Lauren and Tara's friendship blossoms into a hot romance. Naturally, there will be a few hiccups along the way. The Grand Canyon, wedding and HEA....
I know that life's problems will melt away for that period of time while I'm reading a Moody book so once again I encourage readers to get away to the lake resort and I look forward to more books in the series. Easily recommend.

I rec'd a copy from the author and this is a voluntary and completely unbiased review.

And The Truth is by Jamey Moody is the third book in the Lovers Landing Series. It's nearly impossible to be sad reading a Jamey Moody book. Her books allow you to truly escape for a while and just embrace love.

We have gotten to know Tara Holloway and Lauren Nichol's in the first two books in the series. There has always been this pull between the two and I'm not surprised that we now getting their story. Tara is a successful actress disenchanted with the fakeness of Hollywood, who shows up to check out a house her friend Lauren thinks will be perfect for her. She wants to find a vacation home or maybe something more permanent so she is closer to her friends Krista, Melanie, Julia, her family but most of all Lauren. She's also ready to settle down and have a loving relationship.

Lauren has been divorced from her high school sweetheart for several years. She has raised her two children and is now ready to explore her sexuality. She may be new to the lesbian party but that doesn't mean she isn't ready to jump into the pool. The two women confess their feelings for each other after Lauren finds her the perfect house. Lauren helps Tara decorate and the house truly becomes theirs.

The path to happily ever after isn't usually too stressful in a Jamey Moody book. There is a bit of strife with Lauren's grown children but is easily overcome when they see the happiness radiating from their mother. It's lovely to see women over 50 as romantic leads. The characters are charming and I'm happy to finally see Lauren find happiness. The questions she posed to Krista in the two previous books were so clearly pointing to her being open to loving a woman and ready to take that leap. This was a very satisfying conclusion to the Lovers Landing Series. I look forward to Jamey Moody's next book. I'm sure it will be a heartwarming book filled with friendship, love and laughter.

ARC provided by the author for an honest review.

This was a good addition to the Lovers landing series though it was not my favorite. We’ve had glimpses of this pair in the previous books but it felt like they uhauled pretty fast in this one. I liked both characters throughout the series though and it was great finally getting their story.

Another winner in this series. We have met Tara and Lauren in the previous books. Now we have the pleasure of their story. Tara is a larger than life personality. But she met Lauren at the lake and has felt a pull. Lauren was unhappy with her marriage and got out. Now is their chance to take a risk. I love getting to visit with old friends. Like Krista, Melanie, Julia and more. This series feels like coming home. As in life there are ups and downs. And Jamey handles it all wonderfully. If you want a book to make you smile and feel good this is it. I did receive an ARC.

This is the last book in Loves Landing series and I really love it! It is friends to lovers romance with toaster oven through in. I love that it is low angst, heartwarming, sugary sweet and the ultimate ideal loving relationship that we all dream about. Both MCs are extremely likable, Lauren, the newly divorced with two grown children is bold and outspoken, Tara, the movie star is unexpectedly sweet , patient and considerate. Their deep love also includes for their family and best friends. This is a dreamy loving story between two middle aged beautiful women and I just wish for more!

Jamey Moody is the absolute queen of low angst, sugary sweet romance stories. Sometimes all you need is a story that will restore your faith in love. This is absolutely one of those.

Somehow you are just in need of a book that is about characters that find love with each other early on and you get to experience their first steps into a relationship. It’s like the happy ending begins in chapter two. If you’re looking for something like that, look no further!

This is the 3rd book in The Lovers Landing Series and Jamey Moody gives another amazing love story. Tara and Lauren have been dancing and sharing their hearts for a few years. Tara is ready to move to Texas so they can explore what a life could look like with Lauren.
I confess I did not like Tara. It has taken a bit to see the good in this character. The relationship she builds with Lauren helped me see her differently. I enjoyed their dialogue from the start..
There are a lot of doubts about this couple. It was such a good story and the real connection these two have is fun. Lauren helps Tara set up the new house and Lauren's daughter Emily and son Justin add to the coming together. I enjoyed this story unfolding. It will be available October 25 and is a great read. I received an advance copy from the author and voluntarily leave this review.

We return to Lovers Landing, actually the lake of Lovers Landing.
Tara want’s to buy a house next to Lovers Landing.

Lauren as the real estate manager of the area, has a beautiful house.
Tara and Lauren have known each other for over 3 years, Tara likes Lauren.

Lauren likes Tara to and tries to find herself to love again after her divorce.
Both Emily and Justin have to, get used to, the idea of their mom Lauren in a relationship again.

It’s a complete loving, romantic story, where you learn that Hollywood actresses are also normal people.

I love this series, I hope there will be more editions of the Lovers Landing series in the future.

This is book 3 in The Lovers Landing series, no need to have read the previous books as this can be read as a stand alone; although the first two books are well worth a read. This follows divorced real estate agent Lauren as she falls in love with lesbian actress Tara. It is a lovely, well written story. No aghast, just a feel good about life, book. Would highly recommend.

Excellent

What a beautiful book, so romantic and full of emotions. About finding your other half and build a life together. Perfect dialogues and so real characters with some intense moments. I couldn’t stop reading it. Part of a series but definitely can be read as standalone. Loved it

This book has, amazingly, a freshness, depth and emotional reality of a first ever book published by an author. How Jamey Moody can achieve that is something very exceptional.

If you want to find a good definition of contentment, just read this book, the third of a truly delightful series. There is an intimacy described so vividly by Jamey Moody throughout this trilogy, but particularly in this book, it is difficult to believe this is purely a product of her imagination. Just occasionally it comes as close as you can get to being schmaltzy without actually crossing the line! It’s heart warming. The most intimate moments are seriously hot but make no mistake, this is certainly not to be mistaken for salacious porn. It’s an insult to even assume it gets anywhere close. Jamey writes it as it is but with a delicate skill not too many other authors in this genre can match; it’s deeply personal and I loved it. Let’s hope the Lovers Landing series has much more mileage to run. I’m sure it has

This was compelling, I read it in a day. It was the kind of book I really like in that most everyone communicated. I also liked that there weren't any tropes that came along and pulled me out of the book or made me think the characters just took a stupid pill. The other thing that was amazing was the MCs got together pretty early on (though, with a little history from the previous books). So i was wondering how the author was going to keep me entertained for the remainder or the book. Lo and behold, it was still a page turner until the end. I liked it a lot and there are definitely large sections i will read again.

Lovers Landing does it for me again

This is a wonderful story about how love conquers all and that playing the long game can be totally worth it. And The Truth Is continues on with the stories of the women surrounding Lovers Landing resort. One of the things I have liked about the second and third books is how they can stand alone, but if you are smart and start from the beginning you can enjoy how each book continues to also carry on the stories of the characters from the previous books. These books are about strong women figuring themselves out later in life and showing that it's never too late to find your true love. This book is a feel good book with mild angst and a wonderful HEA.

Nothing beats Lover's Landing magic, Tara and Lauren are in for the magic this time. This has got to be one of the best lesfic series I have read so far.

There is a consistency in all the books, you just got to love them. Lauren making a bold decision, and Tara doing something that she has never done before. As usual there is Krista and Melanie to support them through the tough transition.

I loved it, and can't wait to see what happens next at Lover's Landing.

I received a copy of this book free of charge and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A brilliant third book in the Lover’s Landing Series!

Sharing the journey of Tara and Lauren was a gift. Both are strong characters as well as the secondary characters. I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate Ms. Moody’s works, especially this one. Her thoughts on love and relationships are profoundly moving. I’ve learned so much from reading her works. I heartily and enthusiastically recommend this and any other works by Ms. Moody. She has a powerful gift to share with her writings. Thank you Peace

This might be my favorite of the Lovers Landing Series so far. The inclusion of the complexity of blended families with adult children is really well done. The love and passion is still strong like with the first two books and the characters that are loved are interwoven into the storyline. I appreciate, just as with the other books, strong and confident LGBTQ characters and allys. You can read it in the series or by itself!

Really a Romance

These Lovers Landing books are so good, and this #3 is really all romance. Yes it's a bit "sappy" in places but it fits and even the characters know they're being sappy and can't help themselves. I've known people like that! Sappy is their normal!
Tara and Lauren are sappy because they're so happy to have found love. Read this story about how they found it, claimed it, and intend to keep it.

I was lucky enough to read this book before it was released. If you liked the first two of this series, you wil! Love this one as well! I was able to meet Jamey this past weekend at an authors event and it was a pleasure to listen to how passionate she is about writing these books!! I hope you enjoy this book as much as you did the first two!!!

And the Truth is.. is the third book in the series, but don’t worry you don’t need to have read the others, although it would be useful.
The book is a good positive read, and I love this series.
You learn to love the characters; they are so well written.
Another great book by Jamey Moody.

I loved this book. The storyline and characters were fantastic, interesting and engaging keeping me engrossed from the very first page. The third in the series this is an intricate peice of the story. I couldn't wait to read it haven't read the others. This book could be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read the whole set.

This is a very sweet and enjoyable story. There is no angst, just lots of love. A real estate agent who owns her own business with two adult children and a movie star who wants a family. This makes for lots of fun. Great love scenes and very good ending.
