Hell hath no fury like a rejected mate

Years ago, my mate rejected me and stole my pack. Instead of licking my wounds, I set that mangy wolf on fire. The Supernatural Council executed me, and my soul went to the deepest punishment pits of Hell.

That’s until the Demon King offers me an opportunity for freedom.

My mate escaped Hell, and only one person knows him well enough to track him down: me. If I can find him and bring him back, they’ll move me out of the pit to a place where I can spend my afterlife in peace.

Of course, I said yes, and with a fake body and an infusion of magic, I set off into the Living World.

Tracking him is easy—our souls are connected, and we attract each other like magnets, but when our eyes lock, I hesitate to betray him. Griff is tall, dark, masterful, and each moment I spend with him reminds me of our bond.

The air between us sizzles, and the tension burns hotter than Hellfire. Our souls resonate, and I can’t help but fall in love.

But he doesn’t know I’m the mate who sent him to Hell…

Not Enough

Spoiler

I loved the revenge the MC took and her lack of regret. So although her enemy had a story, it was not enough. Come on. This man screws every new female first. Every other guy has to wait for his sloppy seconds. Does that sound like a man you want to put in you heart?

Make no mistake, it was clear that the enemy purposely took the MC power to make her less and him more. He thought she needed to be brought down, for no reason than the fact she worked to rule alone. Alone because everyone thought she was ugly and treated her as such. He wanted to be the big man on campus and when that backfired he wants to be angry. No. He did it to himself by using her. Fairies really didn’t matter in the end.

So no book two about a mean male wolf trying to destroy a woman for a second time like it is his right.

Hellfire Pack is set in the same world as the Blood Fire series. Cathwulf is given an opportunity to not only get some much deserved revenge but also justice that she believes shes owed. Oh boy Cathwulf's backstory is a sad one and my heart broke for what she went through in this book. It was heartbreaking. My mind kept swinging from hating to liking Griff. I could not work him out? At the end of this book i still hadnt made my mind up about him even more so with that cliffhanger ending! Im dying to see what happens next. This was a cracking start and i cant wait for book 2 now. Loved it

Hellfire Pack by Bella Klaus is another return to the world of Logris and a myriad of familiar characters. The author introduces readers to a character by the name of Cathwulf. She's locked away in the pits of the 5th Faction, with the all too familiar Demon King. He has an opportunity and an offer that she can't resist. A chance at revenge if she wishes it. While she's been locked away to relive the moments that twisted her fate, her mate managed to escape Hell and return to the land of the living. Now, she has an opportunity to find out what he's up to, and drag him back. But if she fails, it won't be just her who pays the price.
Hellfire Pack is an interesting novel that quickly grabbed my attention. My jaw dropped when the author reveals all that happened to Cath aka Katie in her new persona. Of course, her revenge was pretty epic, too. lol Of course, now she has to keep her head straight and her wolf in check so that she doesn't repeat the same mistakes. The storyline is really interesting and I like the twists that the author throws in. I'm easily engaged in this character and the ongoing back and forth between herself and her wolf.
I have to confess though I'm not too thrilled with her wolf. For me, I can't help but feel that her wolf should want to side more with her than with wanting to "reconnect" with Griff's wolf. That aspect of the story is disappointing for me, but at the end of the day, I can understand it because it adds to the overall drama.
All in all, I'm rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoy enemies-to-lovers stories, especially when they are well done and the author is doing a good job with this book and series so far. I look forward to what comes next for these characters. It will also be interesting how things play out concerning the original mission.

I just finished this book, and I am all fired up! But before I explain why, let me talk about this book. Cathwulf was in Hell for killing her mate in a gruesome way after catching him cheating after their first night together when Hades approaches her about getting out of the punishment pits. This leads to an interesting story where Katie (her new name) meets her once-dead mate, and she finds that his story holds some truths she didn’t know. I enjoyed this book from beginning to almost the end…where it felt like I was in a nice hot shower and all of a sudden, the water turns ice cold. This was a well-written, fun book, and I am really looking forward to the next especially after than unexpected end. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Woman scorned gets a chance at payback....🔥🔥🔥

While suffering in Hell for forty odd years our main character is given a chance at freedom by Hades. How one asks? Why by giving her the chance to hunt the one who betrayed her in the worst way possible and caused her entry into Hell in the first place. Who knew things would get so complicated? A great introduction to this new spinoff in the world we've come to love. There are a few cameos of characters we know from other books, but its not 100% necessary to have read them before. Though I strongly suggest doing so as they're all awesome, and it gives you a better understanding of the world building. I love the heart and spirit of this character, and can't wait to see what happens next!

This is a time-twisting return to the world of Logris. And I feel like that’s about all I can say without giving away big pieces of the best parts of the story. (Which are pretty much the entire book.) My rage burned and my heart broke for the injustices Cathwulf/Katie had suffered. Her emotions are so powerful throughout the story, and they took me on something of a roller-coaster ride. A note of warning, this definitely ends on a cliff-hanger, and I haven’t completely decided if I love it or hate it. The one thing I know for certain is that I’m dying to find out what happens next.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

OMG this is such a good read! Imagine being rejected by your mate, sending the one who rejected you to hell only to be executed yourself and sent to hell to find out your mate has escaped hell and you are the only one who can track him down!! I mean what the actual hell!! Poor Cathwulf she’s such a kick ass character that’s been mistreated and abused and this is such an emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Throw in the slow burn, the twists and turns and that ending and I can’t wait to read the next book!

This book is very storey content driven with a little heat but as its slow burn thats fine as i am sure teh author will ramp this up a little in later books, The storey is complex but easily followed with an element in intrigue and mystery that you know will have some whiplash plot twists as the storey progresses.
Cathwulf our female MC is strong but yet retains a small amount of vulnerability and is given a way out of the pits of hell into a more comfortable space with in a nicer realm of hell if she can capture and bring back the mate she killed for betraying her many years ago. Only that mate isnt the self centred, ruthless and selfless man that she once knew which complicates things.
Great read cant wait for the next book.

This was a great story of love and revenge. Cathwulf is punished to hell for killing her mate. She leaps at a chance to get out. Her mission seems easy enough but things never go smoothly. Some great plot twots and one heck of an ending.

Ok so I didn't like this at all. Read the free sample, DNF.

We are pitched into Hell, literally, where seriously dark subject matter is interspersed with cheesy dialogue and weird throwaways that I think are meant to be funny. So hard to understand what I'm supposed to be feeling about endless sadistic torture carried out by imps who range in size from bat-sized to 7ft tall and whose sexual harassment of the MC is simultaneously high school and serial rapist.

Our heroine is an unrepentant sociopath (I don't believe that torturekilling is a reasonable response to betrayal) who claims feminism as her alibi for killing the guy who did her wrong. Girl power!

CW description of violence, paraphrased from the book:

If women made the laws then kneecapping your ex before beating on him for hours, shooting him in the chest and then burning his corpse would be perfectly fine. Women's lib for the win!

Although she implicitly claims a feminist viewpoint, she subscribes to outdated beauty standards and ideals and the only aspect of her appearance she is pleased with is her long, blond hair. Women unite!

But seriously, please do unite behind a slightly more um grounded feminism that actually works to dismantle gender and racial and other hierarchies in sensible and constructive ways. Thanks.

After the first trilogy Rejected Mate which I LOVED, I thought I'd love this too but this is such a complete 180 from that amazing series. Makes zero sense why these assholes are leads in the first place. Cathwulf was born to be the alpha queen, she was smart, capable and was supposed to lead her pack to a better future. She meets her soulmate 🤮 Griff, this asshole who completely enchants her and her wolf, and even though he is her soulmate he steals her throne, her pack and her purpose. He cheats on her, makes her a laughing stock of the werewolves. Obviously infuriated by all this betrayal and grief she gets wonderfull revenge on him, she shoots him, beats him almost to death and then, puts him on fire and dances on his remains. Unfortunately , she ends up killed by the council (all men, why doesn't this surprise me) and she ends in 5 circle of hell suffering torment everyday of excrutiating proportions for 40 years, night and day. After all that suffering and rewatching her betrayal shown on a memory wall of her worst moments of betrayal, she makes a deal with Hades, and is sent to spy on this asshole who ended up escaping hell. She falls for him AGAIN and feels remorse for killing him?!!? You felt no remorse for 40 years, you suffered torture daily and weren't able to repent and leave hell and endless torture, but seeing your ass of a soulmate for a few days and hearing his sob story (after all the lies he told you in your first life ) you actually forgive him... you are a complete moron. I know your self confidence was at the bottom because you were once butch and unattractive but damn girl that ass hurt you so much and just because he likes you now that you got pretty and has done a thing or two for the good you are ready to spread your legs and forgive everything ? For what? A bit of dxxx???? This is just sad. She was portrayed like such a great Mc but as the story progresses she gets lamer and lamer just because of some asshole soulmate her betrayed her in the worst way possible but she can't help herself. Give me a fuxxing break. I HATE this lame book.

What a mythical, emotional roller coaster ride of a journey!!! This was my first time reading Bella Klaus and all I can say is SOLD!!! The way she creates pure magic by crafting new worlds, unveiling intriguing storylines and developing amazing characters that make you feel connected right out of the gates is insane! If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers, rejected mates and all things mythical then you definitely need to grab this one for yourself! Just be prepared for a journey full of emotional rides of passion, endless twists, turns and betrayal around every corner and love that never comes easy but feels so dang good!

Hellfire Pack is the first book in the Demon Wolf Hunter series and it drops you right into Hell (literally) with the story of our fearless and badass heroine Cathwulf, a shifter who's been condemned to a lifetime of hell and endless torture after murdering her fated mate Griff—though I’m sure stomping on his fiery remains and celebrating his death after didn’t help her case much either. As evident by the decades she’s been locked in literal Hell paying for her crimes…until she discovers her mate has escaped his own hellish prison and is now roaming free unpunished.

So when shes given a chance to hunt down her former mate and return him back to Hades on a one way trip to Hell she jumps at the chance for ultimate revenge and retaliation and teams up (unwilling at first) with fellow Hell bounty hunters to drag him back where he belongs. However of course things don’t always go as planned and she quickly realizes there’s more to his betrayal than she originally thought. And of course right when you think things are going well…..chaos ensues. Needless to say, thanks to that killer ending, that book 2 can’t come quick enough!

This book in in the same universe as a few ithers were we meet, Hades, Valentine and others chatecters but it centers in the Wolf faction of supernatural. Cathwolf had a very sad story, She was mocked buy the other girls and guys of her pack because She wasn't like them. She was big and strong and that made her and outcast, the Alpha outcast, but still She would be the Alpha of all wolfs and a representativa if the supernatural counsil. She had trust issues and when her mate appears She doesn't trust him, and thinks its a scam. It took 2 years for they to mate and the next day She caugth him in an orgy.... So everything went downhill and She murdered him in a very cruel way and was sent to hell. She was 40 years in hello being constantly toutured but She still didnd repente. She would do it again. But as always fate is very cruel and She finds herself with the mission of catchig her mate. A lot happend and we find terrible truths. Things aren't always as they seem and She must undestand to move on. The end is just the cherry on top. Cliffhanger away.

Cathwulf wasn't exactly an attractive, delicate, and feminine woman before being thrown into the Punishing Pits of Hell after killing the mate who rejected and betrayed her. So when given a (not so voluntary) second chance from Hades to claim her vengeance and overthrow her former mate, she does not hesitate much. Only, her mission shows her a different side of Griff, and the cause he has dedicated himself to is far from her expectations..
For fans of shifters and PNR (no RH), this is a good pick and a nice starter to a series with rejected mate trope and a strong heroine with lots of fire within. I was very much enjoying the interactions between Cath and Griff and definitely rooted for her every time she pushed him away - hell hath no fury is spot on in her case. I was also quite enjoying some of the side characters, happy that Hades only had minor role in this book (never liked that one, ever). The cliffhanger at the end leaves the reader literally hanging and craving more, and I think this series has a lot of potential to develop into a very entertaining read.

We're heading back to Logris for another series by author, Bella Klaus and I'm so here for it. I love this world that the author has created so much, and honestly, I think I'll happily read every single book from this world because it's amazing.

The FMC, Cathwulf has had her soul sent to Hell for killing her mate. She's being tortured every day for her crimes, that is until Hades needs her for a new task. One she is determined to fulfill. But obviously, it's never that easy. And there was one hell of a cliffhanger ending that left me wanting more.

The characters are intriguing and I enjoyed every minute of finding out about Cathwulf aka Katie from her past to her now odd present. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way in this one, and we find out things that may have changed the course of Katie's life, as well as her demise. Can't wait for book two.

This was the first story I've read by Bella Klaus and really enjoyed it! You're transported to Hell when you're introduced to Cathwulf, a woman who's been condemned after murdering her mate. As you find out everything she's been through over the last 40 years of incarceration, you understand why she jumps at the opportunity Hades offers her: find your mate that's escaped Hell and bring him back to be tortured. However, the best made plans always work best on paper, don't they? This first book is an emotional one, where slow burn and being a spy is the name of the game. Looking forward to reading the next installment of this story to find out if Cath and Griff can have the happily ever after they deserve.

I love that this is set in the same world as other books by this author, but even so is a completely separate story. Cathwulf is was a female alpha who was betrayed by her mate Griff. She may have acted a teensie bit over the top and for this earned a place no one would ever want to go - The punishment pits of hell. Offered a chance by Hades to escape the pits to retrieve Griff after getting the information that Hades needs from him Cathwulf is given a new body to return to earth to complete the mission. This is an amazing story and I love Cathwulf, she is certainly a strong feisty female! The ending is cliff edge but hopefully we wont be hanging for too long, I will definitely be looking out for the next book to continue the tale

Left the reader dangling

Cathwulf, an alpha female wolf shifter, has spent the last forty years in the punishment pits of hell for the crimes she committed against Griff, a wolf shifter and her mate, for his actions after their mating night. As the story progresses a second chance is offered, life seems to be on repeat, and learning the truth may be detrimental to their health. Bella Klaus left the reader dangling in Hellfire Pack. Be prepared to see some of the other characters from her other series set in this same world and try to watch from the sidelines.

I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Oh my, this book had my emotions all over the place! While we are back in a familiar world, we are introduced to new characters and they sure take you on a wild ride. I was pulled in by the story very quickly, and found myself sympathizing with the female lead quite quickly, and rooting for her and her revenge , but once we also got to learn the male leads perspective, I really didn’t know how to feel! I love that the authour gives us such in depth , solid characters that make us as readers feel so much! I am totally invested in this story and I am really really curious to see how this story plays out! This book has fantastic world building, its well paced and well written and very entertaining!

I loved Hellfire Pack and honestly struggled to put it down. Having already read Lydia and Fenrir's story I knew the world and some of the characters we were introduced to. While you don't need to read the other series, I recommend it as I enjoyed seeing how this series builds on the previous ones.

Cathwulf is a woman scorned, who makes a deal with Hades in order to further punish the man who scorned her - though she did already kill the guy rather spectacularly. Both the character and world build is great and the storyline is really engaging. The book ends on a cliff hanger and I can't wait to see what happens next!

I don’t know how Ms. Klaus does it but every book (series) she writes is insanely amazing. I’m always hooked from the start. This one does connect some to the previous series but could be read as a separate series, but it is so much better to read them in the order they were published. If you like shifters, gods, and some kick ass characters then you will love this book. The main character of Katie is nothing like your heroine in distress that needs saved. She is a big beautiful woman that could break a man in two. The twists are so unexpected and the romance will leave you needing the next book right now.

So so good!! I absolutely devoured this book and couldn’t put it down. Cathwulf has been sent to the fiery pits of hell as punishment for murdering her mate, Griff, after his betrayal. When she’s summoned by Hades, he offers her a deal she cannot refuse. She’s to hunt down her ex mate, who has escaped Hell, and bring him back. However, things never go as planned and there may be more to Griff’s betrayal than she thought. I just loved this book, it’s wonderfully written, with an entertaining storyline, complex and engaging characters, and filled with twists and turns, betrayal, revenge, and love. This book does end in a cliffhanger and I’m looking forward to the next book!

Hell hath no fury for sure! Imagine being sent to the punishing pits of hell for killing your mate after finding him cheating on you, only to find the man that caused the experience is still alive and doing well earthside? Outrageous! Then you're offered the chance to escape constant torture and meet up with him once again in the land of the living? You bet our heroine, Cathwulf, jumps at the chance. While planning her revenge, she learns things that start to make her question her and her ex-mates situations, or not! It's a wild ride for sure! Great first book that really pulled me into the series. Enjoy!

This one didn't immediately draw me in, but once I realised it was set in the same world as the Lydia and Fenrir stories, I started to enjoy it more.
Cathwulf's story was a crazy one (parts were funny, too), and having to face the person who took her pack from her decades ago, resulting in her ending up in hell in the first place, was a massive ask. But the chance to leave hell for good was an offer too tempting to refuse.
Cathwulf was such a fun character, despite all she'd been through, and although I could see where the end of the book was heading, I did end up enjoying the ride. I look forward to reading book 2.

Cathwulf has managed to end up in hell due to choices she made in life but now she has a chance to get out of hell it just means capturing the man who betrayed her. Her mate who hurt her badly and she also set on fire. It’s rather complicated and the attraction between the two is intense but there are a lot of things the characters don’t know. The ending made me want to shriek it is just a painful cliffhanger. I love this world and these characters. I can’t wait for the next book since that cliffhanger is a rough one. And if you’ve read other books in this world then you’ll enjoy seeing characters from previous stories.

Brilliant read. I love this world and glad we get another series out of this.
Cathwulf has been damned to the deepest punishment pits of hell. to revive her worst/best moments. But she gets some peace knowing her ex is facing the same horrors as her. but when Cathwulf is summoned by the Demon King she is given an opportunity she cannot refuse. to hunt down that ex of hers who has manage to escape hell and is living his best life. giving Cathwulf extra pain that she doesn't need right now.
Brilliant read Cannot wait for the next.

A villain……..you love to hate

I want to start off by saying that I love this universe. If you read any of Bella’s books, you have come across a few of these characters. The storyline and characters are so well written that you get very attached. The main character is in hell, and has made a deal with Hades to get revenge. The story progresses and builds so much that you can’t put it down. And with the cliffhanger ending, the next book can’t come fast enough! Definitely a well invested read.

What amazing read about love and revenge. My heart really hurts for Cathwulf being betrayed by the one you loved. I enjoyed every minute of this twist and turn in this read. But I liked getting to know Cathwulf aka Katie I loved that she is a strong MC but still have a small amount of vulnerability made her more relatable. Overall a fantastic read can't wait to see what else is in store for this series. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.

“What an incredible story! I’m writing this story while reading the second part lol. If you like the rejected mates trope as much as I do you’re going to love this first book. The tension wasn’t a joke but everything was worth for the suspense and development of the story. Talking about great characters and the FMC deserves a shoutout! Her mission had me on the edge and couldn’t put it down. Now that I’m reading the second part I’m not sure how to not give details lol so I’ll gonna stop and just say highly recommended!”
