3.5 ⭐️The lesson I learned from this book is that don’t buy a cheap $20 dollar dress because then some lady gonna give you a necklace for free for one night. Morgan was trippin ruining Eve night 🤣🤣 she just wanted to party not solve a case but Morgan wanted justice. If I was Lily I would’ve hunt Heather racist ass everyday. Creative plot I wasn’t expecting that.

Have you ever experienced deja vu? The feeling where you’re absolutely certain that you’re living an experience that has already happened? 🌪️😵‍💫Well this was exactly what happened to Eve after prep for a college sorority Halloween party led her to Lily’s Boutique. 🪦

While shopping for the perfect costume, the boutique owner insisted that she wear a necklace that would set her ensemble off perfectly. Against her better judgment, Eve accepted and had no idea that this necklace would connect her with the past of its previous owner! 🌪️🕸️🔮

I really enjoyed this mysterious read! It gave suspense, and that eerie Halloween feeling that’s the perfect spooky vibe! This quick read was the perfect pace and gave just the right amount of plot and resolution and when it was all said and done, Eve ended up with a Deja Boo 🥰🎃🪢

This was a creative take on a Halloween story. Eve had no idea that a borrowed necklace would resolve an over 5 decade heartache for a family and uncover a heinous hate crime.

Listen the way I would have been spooked out 😩 and no secrets uncovered because literally seeing the past in yourself is craziness.

Eve gets invited to a Halloween party. While shopping for her outfit she is given a necklace. A simple necklace solves a murder mystery. This was a nice short story. Eve even got a boyfriend. I like how Devin validated her instead of making her seem crazy

This short read came with the spooky vibe, and I had no idea what was going to happen. That interaction Eve had in the boutique, was strange, but intriguing. Then when things began to fall into place at the party, I was all in. Glad Eve was able to help get closure for the family and gain her a boo along the way. I loved that Devin jumped right in to help her without questioning things or making her feel like she was crazy. Now I gotta see what's up with Jackee's story.

This short story had me hooked by the first line! The familiar feeling of experiencing something but it isn’t quite for you. It’s All Hallows Eve and this is what we call Deja Boo! Imagine stepping into an boutique shop and the owner gives you a necklace to wear for free without charge. You decide to wear necklace at a Halloween party and begin to have flashbacks that you are someone being attacked. Read this and find out how the 58 year old murder mystery is solved. It was a short story but definitely a 5 star read!

Of all the Halloween themed books that I’ve read this year, this one had more of a Halloween vibe. It sucked me and kept me interested throughout. It was more mystery and suspense and less romance.

Eve reluctantly agreed to go to a Halloween party that she had no interest in attending. Looking for a costume to wear, she’s drawn into a boutique she’s never seen before. After purchasing a dress and borrowing a necklace at the insistence of the owner things start to get a little mysterious. By the end of the night, Eve has helped discover and solve a 58 year old cold case.

I needed this to be longer because wtf?! My mind was blown! Eve is invited out to a Halloween party where she meets Devin and they are instantly drawn to each other but she is also battling these visions in her mind caused by the necklace she got at a boutique earlier. The visions lead Eve and Devin on a trail that’s been forgotten for 52 yrs until now! What they find changes them both forever and a new beginning can begin! I wasn’t expecting this to be what occurred but this was really good to be a short story! I would’ve liked this to be longer! I found this book off of @sharonda_isadora page last year and finally read it! This was good I definitely recommend!

Probably not the original intention of the Author Kyeate, but “Deja Boo..” was the fictional equivalent of the”me too movement” on behalf of former student & Upsilon sorority neophyte Ms. Lily. More so, oh how apropos especially as our civil liberties, diversity, equity, inclusion & democracy are systematically dismantled & ultimately irradicated. Yet bigotry, misogyny, tyranny, cruelty & exploitation towards Black & Brown ethnicities are applauded (obviously, not an exhaustive list😬). Nonetheless, “Deja Boo: All Hallows’ Eve” was a subliminal victory for the disenfranchised & disregarded. Although justice too the scenic root to pervail, Lily’s life, our melinated lives matter too. …Just say her/his (fill in) the name ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼🥹😢‼️

Great story...

Eve was invited to a Halloween party with her friend, but she wasn't excited to go. When she found her costume, she was given this necklace to wear that was expensive, but it also had more. Getting to the party, she is seeing things from the past and present and is not sure what is going on. When Eve and Devin met, there was chemistry between them and much more. When Eve shared with Devin what she was seeing, he knew it was true and finally got what his family has been working on finding out what happened to his family.
This was a great twist to a Halloween story and I loved it. A family tragedy was solved and love was found!!!

I enjoyed this paranormal short story! I read this twice (it’s under 50 pages) and in the second read, I was impressed with how much the author put into under 50 pages. There’s a magical/spelled necklace that helps to solve a decades long murder mystery/disappearance that brings a family some peace and closure. There’s also a love story happening in the midst of it. Good spooky read!

Upon second read, I’d probably give this 3.5 stars.

All Eve wanted was a costume to attend her college party. She ended up in a boutique buying a dress but getting a necklace for free 👀. When Eve put the necklace on she started feeling and seeing the past of the owner of the necklace. Even tho it took years justice was served for Lily. The title of this was so catchy and the storyline went great with it. It was suspenseful, mysterious and gave off spooky vibes. This was faced paced and detailed. This was a good short story.

I don’t how I would feel with being the chosen one! Eve was braver than I could’ve been yet I probably would’ve saw it through lol! Poor Lily! All she wanted was a good education but during the time in which she lived in, “they” wouldn’t allow that to ever happen. In this day in time no cop would’ve believed her thankfully Morgan has a buddy who cared enough to believe them! This was a quick journey that kept my eyes wide opened! Also, is this Jackee related???

I enjoyed this Novella from beginning to end. I couldn’t put it down. I’m not even gonna lie I cried when I found out what happened to Lily my heart broke for her and her family. I’m glad Emily and Devin meet each other but I would like to hear more about them. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Now this is how you write a suspenseful Halloween story. This book is short and mighty. For it to be less than 50 pages, this book literally had me in a choke-hold. I couldn’t put it down and I became thoroughly invested in what happened to Lily all those years ago. In this short story, we got a quick glimpse of what it was like to be a black woman passing for white . Who would’ve thought going to a party would’ve solved a fifty year old murder and bring you a boo at the same time. With that being said, I wish the focus was more on Devin and Eve’s relationship. I wanted to see how their Halloween adventure turned into a love connection. Good job to the author

Eve gets talked into going to a Halloween party. After finding a quick dress to wear she is gifted a necklace when she puts it on she turns into an unknown person and paranormal starts. The neckless later helps her unveil an unsolved mystery. Interesting read really wasn’t expecting that lol but I would’ve haunted Heather every damn day like I had nothing else better to do. 😂

Ouuu I absolutely loved this. I don’t normally read paranormal books but I was just trying to get into the spooky season vibes and stumbled upon this book. I absolutely loved this. I don’t like books like this but I’m glad I read it they was so wrong for what they did to Lily but I’m glad Eve went in that store it was meant for her to find out what happened great story
