Mercy Stevens is smart, beautiful, and full of potential. An eighteen year old girl that isn’t a stranger to abandonment or heartache; thanks to watching her parent’s dysfunctional lives. She’s also not as meek as one would think, and has a taste for the fast lane every now and then. After encountering the formidable Christian “Champ” Wolfe, her life is never the same. When harmless flirting turns into something neither of them are prepared for, Mercy finds herself in a whirlwind with Champ at the center. She isn’t his usual type, so Champ fumbles along the way with her young heart. When tragedy strikes, and Mercy is backed into a corner, she tries to piece together the shattered pieces of her life while more debris seems to fall down around her. With little displays of love growing up, she always assumed it was toxic and consuming. Champ can’t resist her optimistic outlook, and she is unable to go against his brash charms. But when his baggage becomes a little too heavy to tote around and compartmentalize, Mercy is left on the sidelines. Who has her best interests at heart? Who can she trust? Will she be able to persevere through her darkest days, or are there more of them ahead? Can she and Champ outrun the deepening bond that is forming, or will it cause a ripple effect for everyone around them? Find out in this full length standalone!
Baby you did that with this Mercy book and I really loved it. I’m so happy that Mercy got her self together and went back to get her man back. I was happy that she finally gave my man champ a chance. Mercy went through so much her life though. But my girl definitely pushed through it though.
When I tell you that I will read ANY and EVERYTHING SL Partee writes I mean it!!! She's a beast with that pen and here is another reason she's one of my favs. I laughed and cried when I read this. Mercy and Champ just pulled you in and held you captive til the very end! I don't want to give all the details just know that you need to read it!!!
Mercy and Champ was meant to be she had to leave and find herself then she came back as the women Champ needed he became the man she needed they showed you have to fight for what you love!
I loved it all!! I actually didn't think Mercy and Champ was gonna make it. It was so many snakes in their lives. Grain and Malika were so cute together and I'm happy Game became something for himself after his father passed. This was a lovely read...
Wow where do I start? This book was amazing, Mercy is such a kick butt type of chick but still humble I loved it, her & Champ are so good together by the end of the book I was proud of everyone’s growth
Champ is a boss with a heart of gold but don’t mess with him. He knew Mercy was for him when he met her but he tried to fight it. Love the growth that Mercy showed. I truly enjoyed this story.
Mercy was an excellent story. You dealt with a lot of emotions. I'm so sorry that Big Grain was killed. That darn Lorina received exactly what she deserved she was a darn sneaky THOT. S.L Partee did an outstanding job with this story.
Mercy and Champ, Grain and Malika and all their children were so much fun to read, the spice was on ten, the love was on a thousand, what more could us readers ask for. S.L. never disappoints, her pen is lethal.
It was Champ for me. The way he had her back! Even after all this time! I love how Mercy took to Cage and loved him immediately. How she raised him as her own
