One story told from two different points of view to come together for a wild ending. Usually I don't like books that skip around person to person, but this one flowed easily. I had more compassion for the son than the homeless guy. We have a few of those donation bins around here and I will be sure to avoid them.
The young girl, the queen of her little kingdom of mutts, watched and smiled. Her ruined face was crooked and tattered, but with no zipper. In the dimness of the October night sky, Desiree sat smiling, looking like a rotting Jack-’o-lantern.
Two great extreme horror stories based upon a couple of events but looked at from the point of view of two different protagonists. Part 1 - young Henry, Part 2 - evil Garrison. No more to be said except that the brutal goriness feels of a different nature in both - but lots to like, so no worries. The ‘splitting of the book in this way’ idea worked really well with all the usual top action that you would come to expect from two of the very best writers of truly gruesome horror around at the moment.
Would have been 5 stars, but I felt that the ending for Part 2 was a little weak and may not have been fully cross-referenced by the two of them before publishing. Although both still end in ways that work, I thought more of the material from both tales could have been woven together more closely to give a better ending to the whole which would have finished it all off with a more polished and realistic edge.
I was bursting at the seams to read this collaboration by two of my favourite authors. They are the reel deal and needle-ss to say, this yarn was sew bloody good! The way the two stories stitched together and ended was sheer bloody perfection.
What’s worse? The screams I created, or the ones I didn’t stop?
Fantastic collaboration. Great read. Desiree was my favourite and I hope to see her again. Aron and Daniel do a great job of mixing their own styles together to form 2 stories that connect perfectly. Wish I could have given this one 6 ⭐️’s!
Excellent “combo” book. Two excellent splatterpunk authors telling a story from different characters’ perspective. The first half of the book is writtten by Beauregard, who of course doesn’t disappoint. Followed by Volpe who brings it home with unforgiving brutal force! Really enjoyed this one. Hope these two do similar projects in the future.
Aron Beauregard and Daniel J. Volpe are a match made in heaven and created 2 stories that inter(twine) lol in this book. Just perfect. It's quite grim and dark, but if you're into this then I highly recommend this book.
I have read from Aron Beauregard before but havnt read from Daniel J. Volpe. Both was very Gruesome and well written but I liked the last one the best. Massive trigger warnings on both of the stories but definitely a good read if you enjoy extreme horror.

Even the execution of the Idea itself And the idea itself is pretty interesting Incorporating The living States Of many people and Deriving a criticism To living conditions Is something that I only expected On an aron book That has the same quality as "playground"
The characters are so well done which is exactly what I expected from an Aron book But I feel like the sheer quantities that this guy writes really drags down the qualities That each and every single one of his novella is. And this is the gem 💎 in the dumpster Of those sheer quantities of novels that this guy wrote

Wow! I loved everything about this book! I have never read a book by 2 authors like this, and this Dream Team didn’t disappoint! What great collaboration these two authors put into this book by both taking on stories of their own that intermingle while still keeping it their own. So brilliantly well done!
Two authors, two stories that interconnect and deliver disturbing visuals that are enhanced by the illustrations contained in the book. Both authors have a knack for creating characters that are extremely vile but can evoke a bit of sympathy for them. Gore and a solid storyline create an amazing book.
Two of my favorite splatter punk writers team up to bring you this very gruesome dark story. I liked how Beauregard wrote part one and Volpe wrote part two and how they came together seamlessly (see what I did there 😏) in the end.
This part really got to me: Her mouth was a nightmare. Thick, black stitches, which were normally used on boots, were woven through her lips. They held the zipper in place. The zipper that sealed her mouth shut. On the end of the zipper was a small lock. The lock was secured to a metal hoop, which was pierced through her cheek.”
I read a lot of extreme horror but that description made me wince and I had to stop reading for a few minutes. Wowzers, that’s some sick stuff.
If you’re looking for a VERY extreme horror read this book is for you!

This is absolutely vile, grotesque, stomach turning, hideous … like I could go on. But, it’s a brilliant splatterpunk and exactly what you should expect when picking up anything by either Aron or Dan! Quick read that will make you want to vomit throughout! Yo Dan, leave poor kitties alone man! 😅 this is why my cats will never ever ever EVER be allowed outside.
These two together are fucking dynamite!! Aron and Daniel are two of the hottest Splatterpunk/Extreme horror authors out right now. Every other post you see on any social media right now have something to do with these two. They are on fire and this book is why everyone in this little fucked up part of the horror world is in love with them. This one was so good!! It has all the gory stuff us degenerates love but still has a really good story to it. When I seen that these two were joining forces and writing a book together I was thrilled!! And I really hope that they do more writing together. Brilliant stuff guys! And the ending.....Was perfect! If you can handle some sensitive topics and a little bit of gore than your all set to love this one.
What a gore filled and twisted tale ×2. Being my first time reading both of these authors I was pleasantly surprised.
Part 1
This story starts off with a gory bang and ends with one too.
Charity's Cackle is full of dark misfortune featuring a young man pushed to his breaking point and a bully with a disturbing home life.
Aron Beauregard didn't hold back on the gory details which my horror loving her really enjoyed. The concept of the story itself was a good one and I liked how things turned out in the end.
Part 2
The Strays was a darker and more violent story of a makeshift family living on the street. I really liked Desiree in this one and that it was topped off with a bit of an unusual ending. It also had a couple very graphic attack scenes that were cringe worthy (in a good way).
Overall this was a really great extreme horror read.
DAMN! Perfection is not even the right word. Gruesome, Trashy and even poetic. That book will get "sew" into your head. Is it Splatterpunk, is it extreme horror? Why not both. Every characters is well written, is too much possible? Every character in this book has a backstory and it's great, everytime you think of hating a character, you learn about them and I think it's the same with people, you never know what they have been fighting inside. But like Aron Beauregard and Daniel Volpe say, "We all rot the same".
When I heard that two of my favorite authors, who by the way are two of the best in the indie horror scene, got together and wrote a book, I was beyond excited. The minute sew sorry became available, it was on my kindle and jumped immediately over my entire TBR list.
Sew Sorry is as unique a story as it is disturbing. We meet an upscale woman who simply cannot give up on "the hunt", ultimately to a terrible end. This leaves a heartbroken, but hateful son and an in over his head father to continue on. Beauregard proceeds to weave a story that will turn your stomach while also breaking your heart.
Daniel Volpe enters the scene and tears into the underbelly of this story. Two worlds, living side by side, entirely unaware of eachother, but directly in twined with one another. As to not be shown up by Beauregard, Volpe amps up the depravity all the while digging into the absolute core of the reader's heart. An ending that is fitting of the story.
I was in no way surprised by how much I loved Sew Sorry. I sure hope these two juggernauts sit down together soon and share thier collective talents again.

I thought this was a really cool concept and I really enjoyed both stories. Both parts start at the same location but follow different characters and their stories based on this starting location and events that follow. Part one focusing on a boy named Henry and Part two focusing on three homeless characters Garrison, Desiree and Mary. Both stories in the end come together.
Both parts written differently but flowed flawlessly and equally as horrific. I really enjoyed Desiree's character and hope to see more of her in the future.
Really highly recommend if you want a intro to both these authors or if you are already a fan. Like me !!
I just KNEW this would be an epic, disgusting, disturbing read and I was absolutely right! I loved how the two stories connected to each other but each one was still its own entity. And the endings to both stories were so satisfying. I just loved everything about this book! Definitely a 5/5 skull read 💀
A brutal duo of extreme horror. Both novellas packed a lot of punch and fit very nicely together. Both authors deliver excruciating scenes wrapped in shifting character dynamics and motivations that make finishing an imperative. 5/5

This was the perfect Halloween Book in my opinion. It had the perfect amount of gore and real life horror. It was both completely bizarre and absolutely hilarious in parts.
For those with a truly sick appetite and sense of humor, this was like getting that perfect bag of Halloween candy. Where you can just feast and it's good right down to the last bite.
I went into this one pretty much blind. Aside from the short cover blurb. I had no idea what to expect. And that's how I recommend you also diving into it.
Two of my favorite writers in this novel. Great story for an October read. Very dark and engrossing. The illustrations were amazing in this story. Can't wait for book 2.
Great collab. Both stories tie together nicely. I don’t know who hurt these two authors but I’m thankful that they spread their disease on to us via written word. It’s hard to pull gruesome horrific shit from your imagination and I’m always amazed when other authors are able to make it look so effortless. They go out with an intention in mind. To poke that nerve you never knew existed. Once they do that they finger blast it into submission. Like an eager teenager looking for the elusive G-spot. I for one like to be unsettled. I like to be thrust from my cozy comfort zone and forced to witness the atrocities that unfold page after page. What does that say about me? That I find enjoyment from this? Who’s worse here? The people who created this world or the people who feel like home within it? Anyways…this is a pretty messed up book. Some people might get triggered or whatever the FUCKING kids call it these days.
