Sighs, I sure hope we maintain the status quo. The last book was horrendous. This one was much better, I’m glad about Callen, yet this book also deeply saddened me because I’m like Callen and I’m dealing with the same kind of loss… I didn’t expect that reading this book and on Christmas when I’m most vulnerable because the anniversary is in a week and it just made me want to break down and cry. The three nobles of the sword at the end made a fantastic point about not defeating the demon king but containing him. I think Evan should have a plan B and should keep his brothers and sisters of the sword handy because I think when the time comes to seal the breach the shadow king will throw everything he can at Evan. We’ve already seen what he can do so I can imagine the effort he will out in once he knows Evan is there to do the final seal for good. In all honesty, the way I viewed things I would have combined atmos with Hatra… it seemed that the city/village was kind of run down… even from the air it looked abandoned, I would have gotten rid of Huxley and his dad and assimilated the populace into Hatra. Callen could still retain his title and even be a liaison between dragons within Hatra. He could still live his “slow life” and still do his mother proud and Hatra would be better for it and I think the people would find happiness there within Hatra walls, not to mention more safety and living in a culturally diverse environment. We’re in the home stretch it seems. Let’s see how it goes I guess. I just wanted to say I loved Iris… also, it looks like my theory will prove correct, his other women will not give birth until probably the last book during the epilogue 😑😒 because we are having no mention of nothing besides mona… oh well, it’s summoner all over again, but even Gryff had them earlier on…. Well, for the most part. Onward lads
Revelations about his family, friends with unknown secrets and a daughter on the way, this is the best book in the series so far!
The characters are all fun, unique and fleshed out with their own personalities, the plot continues to keep me hooked and I don't want to put the book down!
And everything has the feel of coming to a peak within the next few book, so I'm eager to see what happens next!
The enemy is ruthless, bent on killing every living thing on the planet, and it's up to Lord Evan, the Dragon King to stop him! Aided by his harem of badassery, he's set out on a task ordered by the gods themselves. Search our the magic swords that were scattered across the world, each giving its master power to rule. Combined they may give the Dragon Lord power enough to vanquish the Demon King of the underworld, ..maybe.
The story line was great. The characters are believable real you just fall in love with the females of the group and as you’re reading it’s like it’s talking about old friends. The concept is wonderful and I can’t stop reading until it’s over. Can’t wait on the final chapter. Thank you for writing and bringing another adventure into my old life
This is truly an epic of a story that is epic! The cast of characters has grown to an incredible degree and following them on this journey has been an incredible way to learn about this amazing world! I eagerly await the next one!
Dang this is the best one yet. A bit if a cliffhanger at the end, we meet the first of Evan's children and lots of coll action along with a couple of really cool twists related to the Noble swords and Evans family....bring on book 20
Suddenly all the swords, but one, appear! Hunt for the shadow sword! Maybe have to wrench it from a villain!? Will all the babies "pop" at the same time? Tune in to the same channel to find out!
I have enjoyed all of the books from this series. Usually, I prefer longer books. But, these books are light hearted, with some degree of seriousness to them. I find them a good distraction when reading other longer books.
Lord Evan is seeking all the nobles of the sword, to gain their power needed in defeating the demon king. A lot happens as some loose ends start to come together, and all but one sword is found. I like the action, humor, and love. I look forward to next book.
Yet another amazing entry into an amazing series. I cannot wait for the next one to come out. This story has been a roller coaster from start to finish and I sense an epic climax coming for the next book.
I enjoyed reading this book. So much happens. Lord Evan is closer than ever to accomplishing his goal. Could the end be near? The story and characters were interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
Thought this one felt forced and disjointed. Like it was not enough for a full novel but would be too much/long to smooth out. Dang it Eric, Do better!
First time reviewing a book but this series is so awesome I love the characters and all the loops it takes in the story. I just want the eggs to hatch!
I like this series, but the MC is vastly different than other series MCs by this author. They’re usually calm, confident, and in control of themselves in nearly every situation - from crises to childbirth. Not so with the MC in this series; he tends toward smirky self-aggrandizement and carries a temper so vile he’s often on the edge of losing self-control, and needs to be reigned in by those around him. Yeah, he’s a dragon, so there’s that, but the temper tantrums are child-like and off-putting, and detract from the story.
That aside, though, a pretty good installment to the series in general.
