New arrivals to Shellseeker Beach prompt Eliza to extend her trip…and fall deeper under the spell of Sanibel Island. The group of close family and friends are determined to settle the ownership of the beachfront property once and for all. But it seems there are forces outside of their control determined to shatter all their dreams.
As she takes time to reconsider her career, Eliza’s daughter finds herself in the middle of conflicting feelings for two very different men. Balancing what she wants with what she needs, this shrewd businesswoman discovers that sometimes the best decisions are made with the heart, and not the head.
These resilient women face new challenges, build lasting friendships, and find a second chance at love, all while they fight to save Shellseeker Beach’s greatest treasure of all…the family that they’ve finally found.
Come to Shellseeker Beach and fall in love with a cast of unforgettable characters who face life's challenges with humor, heart, and hope. For lovers of riveting and inspirational sagas about sisters, secrets, romance, mothers and daughters…and the moments that make life worth living.
Sanibel Treasures is another heartfelt roller coaster of emotions and activity that Hope Holloway is so good at! This is book 2 in a new fast-paced series that will leave you laughing, crying, and turning pages. I love the characters and wish I could go to Sanibel Island and enjoy an evening (or week or two) in the company of Teddy and Eliza (and all the others!) in the beautiful gazebo on Shellseeker Beach. I’m glad to see there are several more books to come in the series!
The tension in this book prevailed for most of the novel and then ended with a surprise set of twists until the last page. This “family” is interesting and unique. Generally, the second book of this author’s series grabs you while the first sets the stage.
Just finished Sanibel Treasures. This was such a touching story, but also a very enlightening one. Teddy is a remarkable woman. Eliza is a very caring lady who despite how absent her father was from her life still wanted to know something about him. Eliza's daughter is a very perceptive person. She seems to analyze everything she learns about Shellseeker Beach and Teddy. Next comes Camille and Claire. Eliza discovered the role they play in her life and her fathers. The ending was amazing. It tied up all the loose ends, but also throws a new punch leading into the next book. Another fantastic book by Hope Holloway. Thank you for sharing this great story.
While I love the author , this series is moving slow for one thing and if you read her other series it’s just different names , someone has cancer or have died of it, a widow who found someone else to quickly, a teenager who got pregnant gave baby up for adoption to come find her now .
Plus there are many errors.

I loved Sanibel Dreams (book 1in Hope Holloway's Shellseeker Beach series), but I was troubled by the loose ends. Will Teddy and Eliza find Dutch's "other wife" Camille and her daughter? Will Olivia and Deeley progress beyond a summer flirtation? Will Eliza admit that her interest in Miles is almost as strong as his dog Tinkerbell's shameless wriggling and rushing to her? (Needless to say, Tink's treasure is Eliza!) I hoped Book 2 would provide answers, and I was mostly right. Miles, having done his PI homework, tracks down Dutch's previous wife, a woman named Roberta ("Birdie"), the last word Dutch said before he died. Birdie is a devout Catholic and refused to give Dutch a divorce when he asked for one, instead insisting that he write a will leaving his interests (including Shellseeker Beach, which he bought from Teddy's cash-strapped parents in the 1970s) to her. She tells Miles that as soon as it's hers, she'll sell it to the highest bidder. Clearly, Birdie's treasure is a fortune. Camille, on the other hand, has as much money as she needs and is only on Shellseeker Beach to fulfill her promise to Dutch to sell the property to Teddy for $1. Her daughter Claire wants to meet her older sister, just as Eliza wants to meet Eliza. The treasure of both those only children is a sibling, and they find their treasures first! Olivia (who Deeley calls Liv) is still fighting her feelings for him, telling herself he's not her type and trying fruitlessly to drum up feelings for boring Scott, a repeat customer, when she overhears Scott's end of a phone conversation in which he talks about a prime opportunity and assures the person on the other end that the investment is in the bag. She thinks Scott is the kind of go-getter she should pursue, but... Camille, who isn't used to being told no, is shot down during an attempt to make over Teddy, who refuses to wear the inappropriate outfits Camille has picked out and point blank tells the French force of nature that she'd rather die than cut off her grey curls. Camille knows when she's beaten, and she gives in with bad grace. She keeps the fashion desert state of Sanibel in mind, though. Camille identifies Scott as the hotel rep who offered her an insane amount of money to sell the property to his client, and after Olivia orders him out of the shop, a random fisherman walks in with a message in a bottle, looking for the bonus former manager George used to award finders. Olivia sees that it's from Dutch, saying that everything on Shellseeker Beach should belong to Teddy, and promises the man five times the reward if he goes with her to the courthouse NOW! With the message as evidence of Dutch's wishes, the judge rules against Birdie, leaving the property intact. Poor Olivia's trials at the shop aren't over. Birdie blows in, screaming about the unfairness of losing the case, runs to the back, and sets fire to Teddy Roosevelt's personal message in a bottle. Trying to save it, Olivia bumps into an unstable shelf, which dumps storage boxes on her and traps her in the burning building! Eliza calls to her from outside, and Deeley lifts the boxes off her. Guess he's her type after all! The gazebo on Teddy's property is known as the "truth spot", and secrets are spilled there by Claire, Katie (the single mom housekeeper at the cottages), and even Camille, whose treasure is fashion and who announces plans to open a boutique with "real" clothes for tourists, not just T-shirts and coverups. The secret Claire was keeping arrives at the very end, and it looks like her second treasure won't be such a joy to unearth... Hope Holloway has done it again! I love the development of the characters from book 1 to book 2, and I look forward to finding out what happens to them in book 3!
The sad thing about this book and the first one in the series is that the story, the plot, the twists and turns and even most of the characters are good and interesting. I plodded through the first one and again because the story line was interesting I went for the second one. But seriously I just couldn't take the sweet sappy emotions permeating every line. I am no cynic, I am a true believer that goodness and love always prevail, but the extent of the lovey dovey conversations constantly just made me nauseated. I hate to leave a bad review and clearly I'm in the minority from reading all these other reviews, but I bought 6 books in this series based on these reviews thinking they would be great summer reads and now I'm out that money because I didn't just buy one and listen to it first. So lesson learned! We all have our likes and dislikes.
Extended family seems to spring from the tide on Sanibel Island as Camille, Dutch’s second wife, arrives with her daughter Claire to help fight the lawsuit regarding the wills regarding Seashell Beach. It looks as if Teddy may lose her family property since Birdie, Dutch’s not-quite-third wife, seems to have an airtight will. Olivia is trying hard not to fall for Conner, the thoughtful, handsome man who runs a surfing and kayaking business on the beach. She tries to feel something for Scott Greene, a customer she met in the souvenir shop, but no spark catches fire. And Miles’ interest in Olivia’s mother continues to grow. Lots going on at Shellseeker Beach!
This series is another winner! There are a lot of interesting characters just as in the Coconut Key series. The more I read about each of the characters and the dynamics between them, the more I can’t wait to learn more. They all have more depth than what you first see. Camille is a good example. You think you know her personality and her experiences but she can surprise everyone. Except Teddy, who knew there was more underneath her demeanor. I did want to shake Livvie! She is one stubborn woman. Of course, Deeley doesn’t help with giving answers. You know there’s a story there. As always, can’t wait for the next book!
Sanibel Treasures continues the story of total strangers brought together by one person’s death. While they have every reason to resent or dislike the other, this group of ladies come together to bond and learn to love and support each other although it was unlikely that they ever would. I look forward to the third book in the Shellseeker Beach series, I look forward to seeing how they continue their relationships and if some stay open to what lays ahead in their future.
Hope Holloway brings us back to Sanibel Island in book two, Sanibel Treasures. Another great story that kept me reading to see what the final outcome was as to who will inherit Sanibel Treasures. There’s a lot of love, trust, and healing throughout the story. I would love to meet Teddy, drink some of her tea and enjoy the sanctity of the gazebo. I look forward to reading more about the lives and loves of these people.
This series is so good. This second novel in this new series is amazing. Teddy, Camille, Claire, Eliza, Miles, Deeley, Livvie, Eliza and the cast of characters are perfect for this series and I cannot get enough of them. The plot twists, conflict and drama are constructed to immerse the reader into this beach-side community and make us want to live there. I was so waiting for Livvie to clobber Scott. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
Sanibel Island is such a beautiful and relaxing place and is the perfect setting for this series. I love that different types of people with different backgrounds make up this unique family. The dynamics between the family members is so interesting. This book was a hard one to put down. The drama and mystery were there until the end. I also like the sanctuary the characters find in the gazebo. Great story!
Miss Holloway slammed it out of the park with this book. It gives thrills and suspense with the perfect amount of Romance and adventure. If you read the Coconut Key series you will love this one. The family vibe is strong and truly inspiring. I am loving the series and I can't start book 3 fast enough.
The Shellseeker Beach series is such a delightful read. The characters are so well written. I had a hard time not sitting down to finish the story. Surprises, family, romance, secrets all taking place on beautiful Sanabel Island. I am starting the next book right away.
The second book in the series and it is hard to put down. I want to be at Shellseeker Beach with my new friends. A little romance? Maybe. A great storyline? You bet! So grab this delightful summer read and meet me at Shellseeker Beach!
If you are looking for a feel good uplifting book, this is the one for you. In order to really understand all the people and how they fit together read book 1 first. Get to know "Dutch",Teddy, Eliza and the rest of the Shellseeker crew. You will love them.
What a great book! I loved this. Each and every character is unique and special, struggling and trying their best to make it though life and all it's heart aches. A wonderful story of seeing things through no matter what comes. It's also sweet and clean!
I love this series of books. Having a " found" family, diving into their backgrounds and seeing them find common ground. This is one that will send you to the next one because you feel as though you're invested in their lives.
“A crystal interacts with the body’s energy field,” Teddy explained. “The healing properties create balance and alignment. They can invoke feelings of grounding, of strength, of hope, even.
Recently the Sanibel region suffered a terrible loss due to Hurricane Ian. Reading this book was just what this native Floridian needed (thankfully I live 200 miles north of where Ian hit.) Hope, your characters are so vibrant and colorful!
Not quite as good as the first book in the series, but very readable. Thought the narrative took a little too long. Looking forward to book three in the series. Recommended
3.5 stars An easy beach read series focusing on friendships that takes place in the Florida keys. Of course the author leaves every book with a cliffhanger so you have to continue with the next book to see how the relationships progress.
This book, second in the series was even better than the first. I was glued to the pages! Can’t wait to continue on in this Sanibel series. Hope Holloway is a great author! Love her writing.
This is an amazing book by an amazingly talented author. She just makes you want .ore. Fantastic story line. I am excited to read more. Thank you for sharing your talent.
It continues the saga and holds the suspense of what will become of Shellseeker Beach. Each character becomes your friend. Il makes you realize that family is more than just one of bloodlines.
There are so many twists and turns in these books that when I start them, I can’t put them down. In each book I have been transported to the beach and into the lives of Teddy, Eliza, Olivia, and now Camille and Claire. I can’t wait to read the next book!
From page 1 I was hooked and found any excuse to read and ponder the mystery among the pages. I must continue to the next book as I look forward to learning more about the characters and what the future has for them. Thank you Hope. Great reading.
I like the series overall. It is sappy and predictable but I overall like the author. It is an overall positive outlook on life because the endings are happy. The characters are relatable and make mistakes but in the end they usually figure out the right way. The crystal thing is a little weird.
