Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Viv (Olivia) meets Grady when he comes to look at the building she just purchased, she is cleansing it with sage. Viv sells stones, incense, spell bags, tarot cards divination tools and crystal balls. She also does reading for people, the shop is perfect for her. When he goes to leave they exchange numbers and he tells her to call him if she needs a tour guide. He doesn’t leave the parking lot and he text her asking if she’ll trade a reading for a cup of coffee. She asks him if he’s asking her on a date and tells him she’d say yes if he was. They make plans for Friday night. She hears a car coming in the parking lot and turns to see Grady’s Realtor back. He tells her he wants to buy the building back. Then tells her the devil stuff isn’t going to make it in a small town. She refuses his offer, and tries to go back inside. He grabs her shoulder and she tells him to let go. He tells her he’s trying to talk, but she tells him he’s trying to intimidate her. She not backing out and to leave her alone. She spins away from him and hurries in the door locking it behind her. Grady hears the gossip going around town about the town witch. He gets dress for his date night with Viv unsure of how to dress. So he just throws on a flannel shirt, jeans and casual loafers. Viv calls him she can sense he wants to cancel, so she tells him he can come over to her shop and help with moving boxes. When he gets to her shop he sees she has been hard at work, she wants to be open by Halloween. They go over to her table and sit. Viv grabs Grady’s hands and reads him like a book. After the reading he tells her he’d like to take her out to dinner. They go to the coffee shop, get coffee, sit and talk. They leave the coffee shop and Grady can’t help himself, he pulls Viv in and kisses her. They are running their hands up and down each other. Then they hear someone call his name. An elderly lady tells him he should be ashamed of himself and she is going to be calling his mother, he shouldn’t be with the town witch. He tells her to have a nice night. They can’t help but fall into a fit of giggles as they climb into his truck. He tells her he’ll take her to his place and she tells him he can take her home. They ride in silence back to his place, one hand roams up her thigh. They race inside and hurry to take each other clothes off each other. He backs her up to his bed and she lays spread out on it. He tells her he wants to taste her and she pulls him in close. He pleasures her and he tells her he isn’t done. When they get physical its like an explosion went off for both of them. He realizes it’s Viv who is his forever. She tells him it must be he asks her if she knew and she tells him she didn’t. She’s never been the subject of her own prediction before. They lay together then fall asleep. The next morning he wakes and the bed is empty but he can smell the coffee. He walks out to find Viv in his flannel shirt at this table. She tells him something is off. He ask her if he needs to take her home, when she doesn’t answer he grabs his shoes. On the way to her shop Grady gets a phone call from his Realtor who informs him he’ll be getting phone call about the property he was interested in. Not knowing what he’s talking about he presses on. He tells him the old pharmacy is about to fall through and he can make an offer. The Realtor hangs up and Viv ask him what did he do. They pull into her shop, and see red paint with Burn Witch across the front. Grady immediately calls Wyatt and she tells him to go. He tells her he didn’t do this. She tells him just to leave as she unbuttons his shirt and drops it to the ground. She goes into her shop shuts the door and slides to the floor crying. She thought she read him right, the feeling they have for each other. Now she’s not sure about her feelings. When she hears a car pull into her parking lot she looks to see Grady didn’t leave and Wyatt getting out of his truck. Then she sees the other car unload with Noralee, Tuesday and Rae. Grady walks back into her shop with Wyatt. Grady hand his shirt to her and tells her to put it on. She stands and looks at him. Wyatt asks her questions and she tells him everything that happened. They ladies come in and Tuesday asks her why she is topless. She asks them why they are here and they tells her to clean. They found out from Wyatt about the vandalism and came to help. Grady hands his shirt to her and tells her he needs her to put on the shirt so she does. They girls tell her she is one of them now, nerds have to stick together. Then they go to start cleaning up the paint. Wyatt asks Viv if she felt Grady had anything to do with this and she tells him no. Hours later they are all done cleaning and Viv sent them all off with a stone for protection and a sachet for luck. Viv tries to apologies to Grady but he doesn’t want to talk to her and leaves. On Halloween Wyatt gets Grady to go out. The whole crew is doing Halloween Hopping, going from business to business. They are at Words for Nerds, Noralee’s shop and Wyatt is trying to convince him Viv is sorry. Noralee comes up beside him and tells him she isn’t here, she is sorry and miserable. Noralee tells him her reading are off, she isn’t properly aligned. He needs to mend her broken heart. They tell him she is putting the finishing touches at Occult and Oddities, her shop. He takes off and makes the drive in six minutes. Grady tells Viv he is sorry he acted like a child. She was hurt and scared and he made it worse. She told him he would fall hard and he did, the second he saw her he knew. He was to stupid to listen to her or himself. They kiss and he rest is forehead against hers.

A good Halloween love story
This was a fun book for me to read. Again for me, reading about her talents, the talk and action of hate/greed and love were normal for a person with her talent. Viv was opening a shop with crystals and other items used in spiritual settings. Grady a retired police officer who was wounded on duty was looking for a spot to set up a barber shop and he wanted the building but Viv's bid was already accepted. Grady didn't know his realtor was shady and he tried to get her bid thrown out or force her out, just so he could make his commission. Read what Grady and Viv go through, it's really good. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
This one’s tricky is a novella in the ‘’I put a spell on you’’ collection.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Viv has just moved to town to open her new business. Grady is a retired police officer that has just moved back to his hometown. When he meet Viv will love blossom between them?
The chemistry between Viv and Grady is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

An overzealous realtor puts HEA in jeopardy
Viv finds the perfect location for her new occult store but there's another interested party. Grady wants a bigger location for his barbershop. Unfortunately Brady's realtor is ambitious and not very scrupulous. Viv's storefront is vandalised and she panicked and thinks Grady had a hand in it. Cooler heads prevail and we get a happy Halloween reunuon.

Didn’t really do it for me…
This book just didn’t really do it for me. I never connected with Grady or Viv and just didn’t care for the storyline. It may be someone else’s cup of tea but just not mine.

Cute, short read. I loved the h and her great idea for a store, but especially loved the H and how open minded he was when first meeting her. Perfect story for this time of year 🎃👻🔮This was the first thing I’ve read by Allie York now excuse me while I read everything I her backlog 🤣

Absolutely loved Viv and Gradys story. When the two of them vy for the same building the sparks fly and the are definitely in the cards to be the perfect match. New to this author and already a fan.
