A video-game-inspired isekai with plenty of pervy sidequests.

After being cancelled on social media, Kuzuno Sekai falls into despair and wishes so hard to leave his life behind that he suddenly finds himself in a fantasy RPG world. He has nothing but the clothes on his back...and his handy game controller. With a press of the pause button, he becomes a literal Time Stop Hero. Running off with money, one-shotting static mobs, and flipping the skirts of every girl in sight, Sekai’s desires are boundless, but his power isn’t! If he doesn’t clear the game in three days, time will stop for Sekai—forever!

(If this looks familiar, maybe it is. I'm just surprised I found one that's somehow even WORSE than Plunderer.)

Imagine the finest meal possible: the tastiest cake, the most succulent steak, the crispest vegetables... whatever. It looks and smells like a million billion dollars, and you can't begin to imagine how wonderful it will taste.

Now imagine, as the servers bring it out to you and set it on the table, they then pull down their pants and piss on the food.

This is what reading this tripe felt like. I wanted to give the book a chance, because the premise sounds like something amazing, with so much potential to explore. Yet, from page one, the very first girl we meet is SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by the "hero" who is waving her underwear in front of her. There isn't even a villain (in this volume, anyway) that, compared to, at least he's not THAT bad—this is entirely on Pervert Hero here.

Look, Japan. I get you love this one joke, and it's the mainstay of almost everything you put out. However, it's the worst, oldest joke, and some of us are super tired of it. I don't even mind fan service (I read Hiro Mashima's stuff!), but STARTING your series with this trash is the fastest way to ensure I never give you any more money, ever.

Also, just conceptually: Thief Girl is told, flat out, that Pervert Hero can stop time and do things to her that she won't even know about (good on Dark Elf Fury being able to at least tell), but she STILL wants to go along with him, despite seeing firsthand his COMPLETELY STRIPPING THE LADY KNIGHTS and leaving them exposed in public. Props to them not COMPLETELY freezing up at being so horrifically assaulted and being able to maintain some semblance of composure, but it's still horrible behaviour. I don't care that he ALSO did it to a guy, or after a while just seemed to be doing it out of habit rather than as a thing that got him off; assault is still not funny. I'm pretty sure that the "stupid picture" he posted online that got him flamed literally out of existence was something that he honestly deserved to get flamed literally out of existence over. Too bad for this other world that he got inflicted upon them.

The hero being a raging pervert is really a trope that can get buried forever—how do you possibly justify a hero being just short of the worst kind of villain? I don't care if he's doing the otherwise very interesting "stop time for literally MONTHS to build up the physical strength to beat the monster seemingly instantaneously" legwork, if he's only going to turn around and molest LITERALLY EVERY WOMAN (again). This is not "entertainment" I find entertaining.

I know defenders will just say, "If you don't like it, don't read it!" Believe me, I won't. I just wish I could do more than ineffectually complain about it in a review, because this WILL encourage some horrible person to think that this treatment of other people is okay, because the HERO does it! (Excuse me if I don't trust literally every person to not be horrible; evidence unfortunately shows there are far too many horrible people that just need any excuse to be their horrible selves.)

Edit to add: I want to be clear, this one is significantly worse than Plunderer, because Plunderer was still *technically* PG, while THIS is straight-out PORNOGRAPHIC. The nude women are TOTALLY NUDE, UNCENSORED (except, legally, they can't draw frontal nudity below the belt for ANYONE), besides the whole NONCONSENSUAL part.

It's not that it's porn, either! Porn can be hilarious, actually! It's ENTIRELY the lack of consent, lack of even the characters' awareness that they were being assaulted! Furthermore, what if any of them WANTED him to feel them up? They don't get to share in the experience, and THAT'S no fun. It's like at a Boys' Night (I overheard—I was not a participant), someone brought a "Girls Gone Wild" DVD, and after ten minutes, they were bored and wanted to watch something else.

That's what this does to "fun" porn: sucks all the joy out of it. It's one thing when it's a little fan service in key points. When it's like EVERY OTHER PAGE, it's like the three-month celebration that is Christmas in retail. All the excitement gets drained out, because it becomes so commonplace as to be BORING. Even No Game, No Life, for all of Sora's perversion, he knew that actually seeing someone's upskirt or fully naked lady body would ruin the mystique of it, or desensitise him to it. I don't know if Joy Stop Hero ever learns that, but I'd sooner not solve that particular mystery, since I'm not terribly optimistic about it.

This had a rather basic setup, a guy is sent to a fantasy world, but instead of gaining super magical powers, he instead gets a magical controller that stops time. It is actually an interesting power set, he isn't stronger or more powerful, but being able to stop time gives him time to accomplish things, even if they take months - in a few seconds. The main character is clever and uses his new found power effectively to accomplish his various tasks / quests. There is a countdown timer and he figures, like a video game, he has a time limit to complete whatever the quests is, he just needs to figure out the quest and utilize his time-stopper to complete them.

The main character is also a huge pervert and has no respect for women, and with this ultimate time-stop power, he of course uses it to peek at every woman he crosses paths with, it costs him nothing as he can stop time and most of his victims don't even know what happened... it is a pervs dream... this is a large aspect of this manga, he must peek at dozens of women's underwear and vaginas (I guess he at least stops at actual rape) and fondling breasts. It happens so regularly that it becomes annoying and pushes the limits of 'fanservice' at least my limits for tolerating it. I'm sure there will be those who love this or that it doesn't bother them, but it is too much for me, and it doesn't seem as if this is something he will 'mature' out of or develop an actual relationship with a girl and stop behaving this way. The women who join him in his questing are more interested in his powers than offended by his perverseness, even if they don't like it... it is an odd setup for a character, I'm sure we are supposed to find it 'funny' and maybe for some it is, but this is just not for me.

I bought this on a whim, and despite the fact that the main character is a major pervert, I enjoyed it.

Kuzuno posts something that upsets people, an angry online mob forms, and Kuzuno is so upset by this that he thinks "I don't wanna be here anymore". Suddenly, he's seemingly transported to a videogame-like world, with a countdown timer. Can he figure out how to navigate this world, before the timer runs out?

I had fun watching him try to figure out exactly what he's supposed to do in the world (still not sure he's on the right path), and there were some cute and funny moments that I enjoyed. I also really like some of the side characters, and hope we'll be seeing much more of them in the next books. The world isn't too complicated, but I was surprisingly immersed in the story. I just really, really wish Kuzuno wasn't obsessed with undressing and sometimes groping women, while time is stopped - I guess it's supposed to be quirky? If he was much younger, and it only happened once in a while, I may have been able to laugh it off, but as it is, it just makes me feel gross. There were a couple times where it made sense to have some pervy scenes, but most just annoyed me. I do want to continue with the series, though, because I want to see how this plays out... I'm hoping the ickiness will die down, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.

This doesn't feel very well thought out. I have no problem with ecchi and taboo themes, but there's really nothing "going on" in this one. The main character has almost no personality. I'm not sensitive to fictional scenarios that would be inappropriate (and disgusting) in real life, but it feels... boring. His ability to stop time feels like "no big deal" and every action is flippant. We don't see any of the in-between stuff of him, such as preparing to fight the sandworm.

Nothing happens and the main character sometimes looks at (censored) vagina and touches boobies. Plot presently unimplemented.

Pretty much what I expected from this series, a perverted MC who had the ability to stop time, there was only one thing he would prioritise. Looking past those the story so far has no real plot other than him being a pervert and using the time stopping to his advantage in all situations, I'm hoping there is so overall plot that will work its way through soon or its just another one of those series that hangs it all on just having a perverted mc and a load of girls to be a perv over.

I wanted to like this book/Series but sadly I can not get past the casual sexual assault this "hero" does all the time, its played as a running joke, after all they don't know they are being fondled exposed and used as sexual objects.
And the way he chose to show how powerful he is? he publicly strips females leaving them.

Not the best thing your ever gonna read but if you enjoy the new trend of real life video game worlds mixed with Pervy humor this was a fun read though I’d say it’s more of a rent then a buy kind of book

I will not be continuing this series, I made a mistake on not looking up if there inappropriate actions.

So far, the whole vol 1 is just him looking at other girls inappropriate areas. I don’t know if it’s like that for the rest of the series but I’m not gonna risk it.

I can’t give it a lower rating but I would give it a 0.

The only thing the protagonist do is stop time to sexually harass every woman looking at their panties and what’s under them. Disgusting.

I enjoy the non traditional main character and the world is pretty interesting. The concept of solving quests in time limits is unique as well. More nudity than I would have thought.
