Never did she think she'd be on a beautiful island solving a murder. Now, women are turning up dead at the resort and the authorities seem to be covering up the truth—that the deaths aren't accidental, but murders. Can Rylie solve the mystery before anyone else is murdered?
Stella Bixby is a native Coloradan who loves to snowboard, pluck at the guitar, and play board games with her family. She was once a volunteer firefighter and a park ranger, but now spends most of her time making up stories and trying to figure out what to cook for dinner.
Another fast paced mystery in one of my most favourite series. This time Reilly gets to solve a crime on her vacation which should have been her honeymoon. This series should be read in order since there are sometimes things mentioned that would take away from the mystery of the earlier installments.
After Riley and Garret's non-wedding, she goes on her honeymoon without him, taking Logan (Eli's girlfriend) along to the tropical paradise. Only it may be tropical, but it's not paradise! There has just been a murder on the property prior to their arrival. And a second one follows in short order. The owner gives them the best suite, highest level clearance for everything at the resort, money for shopping and all because he wants to find out if his wife was murdered (a few weeks ago) and wants Riley to figure out what is going on at the resort. Riley and Logan reluctantly embrace the idea, but when they stumble on another dead body their first morning, the sleuthing begins in earnest.
Riley has had a rough time, but she turns around and digs in, determined like she's been in other books. While Logan has never had such an important role before, she certainly brings a lot to the story and the solving of the mystery. Together they compliment each other and work well together. The book has plenty of conflict, and villains to consider. The tropic beauty and details of their surroundings are so well documented that I could almost hear the ocean and smell the tropical flowers. Truly a book that went by too quickly, I was shocked by the conclusion and now I want to know "what's next" for Riley! I can't wait to find out!
There's always mayhem when Rylie is on the scene ...
... even on a tropical island.
Though her wedding imploded, Rylie winds up with two tickets to a high end resort for what was to have been her honeymoon with Garret. Enter Logan as traveling companion. Ever helpful, Rylie's mom reaches out while they're in transit, to let them know that a woman was found dead on the beach of the resort where they're headed. Rylie, however, is determined that there will be 《No kidnapping. No murder. No crime.》on this trip.
Best laid plans and all that. It isn't long before Rylie is drawn in by the resort owner's sad story and sleuthing is underway.
In this eighth installment of the Rylie Cooper Mysteries, Bixby has plotted a murder with a royal connection. At first reluctant, it doesn't take long for Rylie and Logan to be deep in the investigation. And that doesn't bode well for the bad guys!
A great quick read for a lazy summer afternoon.

After reading other series while waiting on the new Rylie Cooper, I got behind in the series! Really enjoyed this one, but it was strange not to see her as a Park Ranger! After her wedding ending abruptly, Rylie decides to take her "honeymoon" anyway with her girlfriend, Logan! As they arrive, there has been a murder earlier in the week & another one occurs soon after their arrival! It's fun to try to figure out who is killing the women & if the owner of the Bliss Resort killed his wife as well! Definitely going to catch up on the series!
Rylie Cooper is on her honeymoon with a friend since she did not get married. Of course, when she arrives the resort owner asks her to help solve his wife's death. Along the way, more murders occur and noe Rule and Logan will use their sleuthing skills. I have read several other Rylie mysteries and each one seems to get better. I really am enjoying this series and look forward to new ones. I recommend these books if you are looking for a heart warming series.
Riley is on a tropical island with her friend Logan. Trying to pick up her heart again. But Riley doesn’t go anywhere without finding murder. This was such a trip. I loved that she had a snooping companion. They were such fun. After the heartache I had from the last book, this was quite a refresher. Riley is kind of getting back into her own.
Rylie does it again and saves the day, well with a little help from her friend Logan. With her marriage off the rocks, Garrett tells Rylie to take the honeymoon tickets to a super ritzy place on an island in the middle of nowhere. But of course Rylie has to get stuck in the middle of a situation! Enjoy these books!
No wedding? No problem. Take a friend on your honeymoon and plan to relax. Accept the words Rylie and relax don’t go together. Lots of twists and turns. Time is running out as bodies start to pile up. Who wouldn’t want to spend their non honeymoon honeymoon trying to stop a killer?
I have been enjoying this mystery series. Book 8 is another good installment and Rylie Cooper is on another adventure to Australia. The characters are still fun to read about and the story line is interesting. There is a lot going on in the story with an interesting mystery that kept me reading.
I love this series. The mystery is good the laughs even better, but the characters are the best. You know these people they are equivalent to people in your neighborhood. Great for a quick read or a relaxing down time. Enjoy!
Rylie shouldn't have gone on vacation. She found herself embroiled in a shoppers nest of murder and sabotage. As always she found the killer, and found trouble. So much for rest and relaxation.
This is just as good as the other books in the series. However, because it has a whole new location and a new cast of characters it is a bit slower. But still good.
Poor Riley goes on what was to be her honeymoon with Logan. What helps getting over heartbreak, a dead body of course! Love Riley and really enjoyed seeing more of Logan. Great mystery with lots of fun added in. One of my favorite series!
This book was not set in the parks and was totally different than the rest but I loved it. I loved the tropical setting. I only missed the other usual characters though. The mystery was perfect and I loved how Rylie is finding herself!
