More of a story book but has mix of authentic recipes I grew up eating and some recipes that would be hard to make/impractical for me as a home chef

A beautiful book that includes enough lovely photographs of Beirut that it has the feel of the old Gourmet magazines, mixing delicious food and travel. I love the little stories the author includes relating to the food, customs and village/ city life in Lebanon that relate to the recipes. It's like having the author as a friend and hearing these little tidbits while sharing lunch or dinner on a regular basis. The recipes are interesting and I've chosen many to try out, even some old favorites that have a little different twist like Falafels. A nice addition to any cookbook library.
